The Westin Chennai Velachery

The entire experience at this establishment is truly exceptional. The quality of the food is outstanding, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Moreover, my room surpassed all expectations and can only be described as the epitome of comfort. The customer experience team, led by the highly capable Miss Kranti, demonstrated remarkable professionalism and were consistently friendly and helpful. To sum it up, this is undoubtedly the ultimate destination for anyone visiting Chennai.

I can’t tel as everything was great

The food was fresh and tasty. Options were plenty. The staff although most of them were junior, seemed to be trained to talk to the customer, ask about their preferences, basically being courteous, was excellent. I could see the staff happy, smiling and mingling. When you see people enjoying their work, that is serving you the customer, you are always delighted to be there. Let this not taper down please ! Keep this up always.

For parking you could have made better arrangements, yes there is valet parking but the space and parking bays should have been maintained.

Breakfast was good and staff were courteous. Front office staff were quick and efficient. Will visit and stay again.

I understand pandemic has caused a lot of staffing issues. However, it is important that training is given topmost priority. For example breakfast staff did not know what Hash Brown was. Sadly everywhere after the pandemic - the 5 star finesse is missing in comparison to the yester years. There is a "difference" between a maid and a hotel staff serving and clearing the table. The room needs an eyeball for details in cleaning/housekeeping -especially under the table and corners of the room. Hope this advise is taken in good spirits.

After 4 days I had to stay for a longer period of time , and book another 5 days ! I just couldn’t leave. The food is out of this world. Compliment to the head chef and chef Darwan for this incredible buffet / feast. Everything was just fresh , tasty and a choice … I never seen that ! And then you have the kindness from everyone , the manager , le maitre de , and ashwinni smile every morning. Swimming pool is great , room is awesome , spa is incredible, the decoration is just top notch , the gym has everything once could need. I had to do a lot of things and they always took the time to help me with everything I needed so I could have a worry free holiday ! This 5 star hotel is truly a GEM and by far the best hotel I stayed at !!! With love Mathieu

Everything was perfect. It was clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious. The staff is really nice, polite and helpful. We are very grateful that they let us checked in early. When we requested something they arranged it immediately. Breakfast was delicious, there is a lot of variety of food to choose from. This stay was just what we needed after long travel across India. Thank you for everything.

Very special thanks to Ashwini - when she heard that I had to wear a sari for one of the big functions, she very kindly offered to help me drape it. I am not comfortable wearing a saree and thanks to her, she came over to my room and draped it so very beautifully for me. I was so grateful. The entire team was outstanding. Every single person made sure our stay was pleasant and checked up on us on a regular basis. From the chefs, the housekeeping crew and the security and concierge, we were truly overwhelmed by the warm hospitality.

Everything was just perfect

Absolutely great breakfast here! Made my stay in Chennai so much better- all the staff from the restaurant manager, chefs, check in staff, all do a great job at helping us feel welcome here. Massage in spa was excellent. Housekeeping was so friendly! The staff is better than the other 5 stars I stayed at in Chennai so they put together an amazing team here. Also it is close to the Phoenix mall.

pool was not that great but I didn’t use it- looked too small for the amount of people using it, but this is in a crowded city so I understand!

The people (staffs) from the front end to the back end staffs. Even your exit gate security, very observant and stopped us on time to retrieve my mums sandal who was on wheelchair. Your front desk Kunal, was extremely helpful and thoughtful. Your choice of sumptous food was excellent. Your chef came out and had a little coversation with us. Words of praise for the cleanliness. We had an emergency medical need and your staff handled the situation well. On the whole, Westin is living up to its name. Oh ya Phoenix mall is within walking distance. What else more do i ask for. Will recomend my friends and business partners who is willing to spend for comfort.

Wanted to book a car from the hotel and was recomended the booking apps. Told me all hotel cars were booked at 9am. They did booked but booked a hatchback car. Despite telling them that i need a bigger car to put in my mums wheel chair. They wanted to squeeze in the wheelchair at the back seat with my 82 years old mum sitting. I stopped them and told them that i need a bigger car. All ended well,, though i was late for my appointment.

Excellent location within walking distance to Phoenix Mall Exceptionally professional and courteous staff - special shout out to Raja and Amit who went the extra mile to take care of us at breakfast Spa on the property

Swimming pool was closed for renovations (this was not updated on Booking.com) Breakfast spread, while extensive, wasn’t very flavorful Lots of mosquitoes in and around the property TV in the room wasn’t a Smart TV and only had local cable channels The bathroom flush worked only intermittently Poor value for money and not suitable for families with kids … at about 60% of the cost, The Raintree on St. Mary’s Road is an infinitely better option in all respects

Enjoyed the food and the personal attention along with great service. Extra special mention for the housekeeping staff, Kowsi and Hari, who cleaned our room very well and made really superb towel dogs and flower shape on the bed. Truly Awesome!! Sikandar at reception was very polite and helpful. Chef Rawat was delightful and a pleasure to meet. Good massage and ambience at the Spa. Ranjan at concierge helped a great deal and is truly appreciated.
