Hotel Rum Budapest

This is one of the best city hotels that I have stayed in. It is relatively small and that is a distinct advantage, staff were efficient and very helpful and the room was well above average. Breakfast area and bar quite small and menu limited, but very good. Handy location and quiet at night. Difficult to find any thing bad to say really

Great central location, trendy hotel with friendly an helpful staff. Hotel has nice touches that made our trip extra special. Delicious cookies on check in, complimentary welcome drink in the stunning glass rooftop bar with great views of the city. Breakfast was limited but lovely and the waiting staff are excellent, appreciated the complimentary fizz on our last two mornings with our breakfast. These small touches make this hotel so wonderful. Will recommend hotel to others and hope to return one day.

Absolutely everything! Great location, 3 min walk to public transport. 5min walk to/from bus stop where airport bus stops. Grocery shops and DM on the same street. Lots of cafes and restaurants. Safe area. I felt absolutely comfortable coming back alone at night. Very friendly staff. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Very clean. Didn’t find any dust or dirt. I was bit sceptical, about breakfast as I do prefer buffet and rather boring ways options but I absolutely adored food at Solid restaurants. Gorgeous view behind the windows is a bonus! I came earlier than check in time and I was able to go to my room. I would be happy to come back! Thank you for having me!

We booked a king room, and when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The room had extra high ceilings, lots of space and very modern and clean. Beds were very comfy and air conditioning was great. There was cookies in the room on arrival which was a nice touch and also a complimentary drink at the rooftop bar. We got breakfast included and it was unreal. We were expecting an open buffet but when we went for breakfast it was table service and you got to order any breakfast meal from the menu with a coffee and a juice included. They also brought over free bread and croissants and gave us a glass of prosecco on the house at breakfast. The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly and gave us great recommendations for touristy things and restaurants. 100% recommendation this hotel, it is centrally located, about 5 mins walk from the main square. 2 minutes walk to the metro station. All round we had a great experience, I would come back 😊

Could not fault this hotel

The property was in a great location, close to bars restaurants and tourist attractions. The hotel is modern styled, clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and so helpful Breakfast was lovely, fresh produce and good choice The bed was comfortable, well equipped and clean

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like but there are a few things that could make it perfect for me The bathroom floor was slippy when wet so careful stepping out of shower There was no milk with the tea and coffee but I didn’t ask at reception so they may have had if asked The air con was only on 1 evening so opened window to get some air in room but agai I kept meaning to mention at reception but forgot So none of the above have changed my opinion of this lovely hotel or the staff working there

Beautiful hotel in a quiet location. We stayed in a large double room and it was huge! Very modern and clean and huge modern bathroom. Big comfortable bed. The bed has 2 duvets rather than 1 double duvet which we liked. Stunning rooftop restaurant with a lots of different choices for breakfast. Great menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location , very close to the market and river. And about a 20 minute walk to the main streets where the New York Cafe is. Or you can get Bolt taxis for very cheap. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved the roof top bar and restaurant which have stunning views across the city. Loved the room but it was very warm in there even when we turned the heating down to the minimum. The staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and are a credit to the hotel.

I didn't like that the breakfast teabags weren't replaced in the room. The cleaner kept leaving earl grey. Had I have known I would've bought my own from home, however, that was my only dislike so quite minor.

Lovely little hotel in a fantastic spot in the old part of the city. Very convenient for the metro ( the public transport system is excellent and very cheap) and within walking distance of some great restaurants and bars. The staff were very kind and helpful, the breakfast was plentyful with great coffee, and I would definitely stay here again if I returned to this fantastic city.

The bed was very firm but that is entirely subjective. The sink in our room (105) was practically inaccessible due to a shelf directly above it. Trying to wash in it or clean your teeth resulted in water going all over the floor, which was smooth and shiny and quite dangerous when it was wet. That aside, everything else was perfect and it wouldn't deter us from staying here again

Nice location near a charming square and rooftop breakfast room/bar. Breakfast on the rooftop was very pleasant and the staff there were quite nice. All guests are offered a glass of complimentary champagne during breakfast.

We reserved a medium room and we were given a small room with one side of the bed against the wall, which is not so good for a couple. The room was well laid out but very tiny with only a skylight type window. They were fully booked so weren’t able to put us in the medium room until the next day, but by that point we were settled in. They offered us a couple of extra drink coupons for the rooftop bar which we didn’t use. They probably should have comped a night or reduced our rate for putting us in a smaller room than we paid for, but they didn’t offer even an apology.
