Gold Hotel Budapest

Cosy hotel with friendly, professional and helpful staff. Possibility of parking in the parking lot in the yard with a gate and video surveillance. Although at an important transport junction, windows fully dampen noise. Air conditioning fully functional. Room relatively small for three people but beds for all comfortable. No cleaning problems. Functional, easy-to-use safe. Breakfast rich, corresponding to the European standard buffet. Within 100 m stop several bus lines to the center. Buda Castle, Gellért Hill (citadel under renovation!) and the Rudas and Gellért baths within walking distance.

The location was great for us since it was close to the park below the Castle District. We stayed three different times during our17 day trip to Hungary. It was our Budapest 'base.' The most comfortable bed was in the Tower room. The other two rooms had very firm beds. If you like firm beds you're in luck. They have private parking but it costs $15/day. Parking is available on the street. Free at night, but paid during the day and only for 3 hours. Breakfast was very good with a variety of vegetables, breads, pastries, yogurt, cereal, fruit, bacon, sausage and eggs. The espresso was typically strong. They also had a coffee machine which was OK. Overall we liked this place and staff was very king and helpful!

Two of our rooms had very firm beds. My husband can usually sleep on most anything but even he said it was a bit firm for him.

The hotel's location is quite good, in the hills of Buda region, with a nice variety of restaurants and cityscapes over the Pest region just nearby. The hotel itself is a nice villa, with it's private limited parking lot, nice comfortable rooms with carpeted floors. The area is quite quiet. The staff, overall, were nice and serviable.

The staff was really nice, apart for a lady at the reception desk just as we arrived, quite arrogant, trying to convince me not to pay with bank card and saying she is unable to provide me with an invoice on the company, as the reservation and payment was made on Booking.com. Happily, she was just ending her shift and the man that followed her shift was kind and serviable and happily offered me the invoice, no questions asked.

Breakfast was excellent, efficient, and professional, especially the receptionists. The Breakfast provided by Andrea and staff, overpassed my expectations. Fantastic staff, from the cleaner up to the top management, all were helpful, friendly, and fantastic. I wish they has Breakfast every day, and raise the price even, as it is kind of far away from a good restaurant. Receptionists were very helpful, especially LILY. Many thanks to all the efficient and lovely staff for my beauf=tiful stay in Budapest. Cabs were coming in time, and the location is very good, right next to the historic Citadella.

The phone, fixed line in the room did not work.

Clean and near nice restaurants

The breakfast was awful. The coffee machine was broken one day with no Alternative. The girls working were pretty rude when i asked if i could have coffee. The other days once it was fixed the coffee was disgusting. I would recommend the hotel but not to bother adding breakfast. Go out as there are so many nice options

Amazing place, nearby the very center of the city. Staff is very welcoming and amazing (additionial Best Wishes for them, You are amazing!!!) Rooms are ventilated very well, despite +40 °C is heating outside, You can rest overnight without any issues. If You require parking space for Your car - there is a safe parking lot near Hotel. Feel brave, feel good, feel the Budapest, just go there;)

Just flow, nothing is needed to be worried about:)

Location was good for us as we could walk to the centre of Buda or Pest in 20 mins. The walk to Buda is thru a park. The walk to Pest is along the main road and Elizabeth bridge and your there. Staff were helpful and the free coffee tea and pastries at breakfast were welcome. The bus stop is right by the hotel but need to get tickets from a kiosk or station 1st.

I had missed the city tax at 3EUR per person per night and with 5 of us that added up. Not the properties fault though.

The cleaning was made daily, the towels were changed also daily. I have appreciated the fact that they had free coffee and tea every morning. The blonde lady from the reception is the kindest human on earth! Her english was so perfect and she was very kind with us. Not the same I can say about the other male receptionists, they had a very mandatory and kind of agressive way of speaking with the guests.

They didn’t had balcony, but this is not something that it’s up to them.

We loved this hotel! It’s in a good location, there’s a bus stop very close and public transport is excellent in Budapest. The staff were friendly and so helpful. Breakfast was good, beds were super comfy and we slept really well.

There is some noise from the road and car park below but this is to be expected really.

Convenient location and comfortable room.

Once or twice, some guests were a bit noisy, but not for long, so there didn't seem much soundproofing.
