Iris Hotel

I only stayed for one night in order to catch a very early flight from the airport, but the Iris was an ideal place to stay and the room was clean, comfortable, and an excellent value - much less expensive than I would expect for an airport hotel. I left too early for breakfast, but that was included in the price. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They also had a shuttle to the airport for only 9 euros and were able to accommodate me even at 5 in the morning! If you need to stay near SKG this is an excellent and very reasonably priced option.

Bed was a little stiff, but no big deal. The location is certainly not a good one if you are on holiday, but for anyone needing to be close to the airport, it's excellent. Pleasant property only 5 min from airport (you can even walk it in 20 min if you have to) and it's on a quiet side street away from all the noise of the main airport roads.

Perfect location for the occasion I needed. The room was clean. Staff was helpful. Very good breakfast.

Broken head shower holder, which I hate that I have to hold it while showering. Some mosquitoes around the room but maybe my fault because they offer Raid at the reception but I didn’t pay attention.

The staff was exceptional both in terms of manners and in terms of willingness to be of service or provide information. This is by far, the strongest card of the establishment. The roofed private parking was also greatly appreciated, as well as the freshness of the various foods during breakfast.

Soundproofing was something to be desired due to the poorly aged doors, the lack of either cable, satellite or web TV was felt and some minor parts required maintenance (eg. the bathroom fan). The mattresses were a bit hard for my taste, but I do not consider this a negative point since it is subjective.

I had a night transit between my flights, and I found Iris hotel the most convenient for my stay. The price is one of the lowest around the airport, there is an airport transfer, and I can honesty say that the value for money is great. Check in was smooth and efficient, breakfast was good and the staff is professional, kind and accommodating.

The room in general could be better. The hotel just needs some renovation, but you get what you paid for. There is nothing I can really complain about.

Iris is few minutes of driving from the airport, and this is primary reason why we used it, and it is perfect for overnight stay on a way to or from the airport. There is not much more in the area around it, especially if you don't have a car, or use a taxi. However, there is a lot of rental offices in the vicinity. Our room was no frills, basic room without amenities (expected from a two star hotel). Regular hotel room (small hall with cupboard, bathroom, bedroom) just of comfortable size to host two people with large suitcases. Bed was large and comfortable, and since hotel is not close to the highway, it was rather quiet and good for sleeping. Bathroom was clean and a bit small. Shower has good water pressure. Room had rather large balcony, with a good shade. Good quality mosquito net on the door. Breakfast was excellent; buffet with large selection of warm (eggs, sausages...) and cold food (jams, cheese & meat, yogurts), fruits, cakes etc. Hotel has its own parking lot, with sheltered car spots. Airport shuttle was provided for 8.5 EUR per transfer.

This is a basic hotel, which serves the purpose of an overnight before or after off hour flights from SGK. Reliable 24 hour and pleasant check in. Good arrangements for shuttle to airport Euro 9 (nothing from the airport but taxis are readily available). Exceptionally good breakfast.

For the price and location, it would be nitpicking to say that the beds could be more comfortable and the bathrooms could use an update.

Nice hotel close to Thessaloniki airport, quickly reachable by taxi. We stayed because we had a late flights for our holidays in the area, so it was convenient for us to spend a night close to the airport. We booked a family room which was spacious and clean. In the morning there was a nice breakfast. This is an airport hotel, obviously intended for short stays when arriving late to Thessaloniki, or leaving early in the morning, and for that exactly it's ideal. The staff was very attentive and helpful.

The staff at the hotel was accommodating and friendly. One of the people working the front desk helped my partner and me order food because we didn't speak Greek. The colors in the room were fun and comforting.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The AC didn't work very well, so it was hard to cool down enough to fall asleep.

It's a good hotel to stay near the airport: you'll get all minimum that you would need for 1 night stay. The location is perfect to have an early of late frlight, simple but enough of breakfast. It won't be too calm and there is no sound isolation, but it's survivable. We always stay in this hotel in case of early-late flights.

The Hotel's location from the airport was perfect having arrived just after midnight. The staff were exeptionally helpful and the included breakfast was more than enough in selection and variety. Plus NO problem to park the car in the Hotel carpark. I'll use it again without hesitation.

I have no higher expectations of the Hotel for the price I paid to stay there.
