Hotel Zum Breiterle

The place is well located (less than 10 mins of RodT bahnhof) and have a parking lot if you need it. The staff speaks German and English (which was really good for us) and the building is really charming, immersing you in the medieval theme of the city. The breakfast was also a highlight, since there is a lot of options of breads, fruits, juices and another side dishes. The room is small, but comfortable for a couple, but we were impressed in how clean it was the place when we arrived, specially the toilet - I actually never stayed in a hotel with so clean restroom!

I have nothing to add in this topic. For me it was a really good experience to stay here and I will probably stay there again in the future if I visit the city again.

The central location in the Old Town; the range of breakfast options; the convenient parking place; the friendly and helpful staff

The light above the washbasin didn't work ( or we couldn't find the switch for it); the lever operating the plug for the basin was missing the knob on the end (it made no difference to the functioning of the plug, but it looked untidy); a second chair in the room would have been welcome. Instead we brought one in from the corridor outside. These are minor criticisms. There was nothing that we didn't like. Everything was great, even the creaky stairs which emphasized the age of the building.

The staff is very friendly and focused on making the stay most pleasurable. I called the day of our arrival to ask about parking and the lady at the front desk already knew the moment I mentioned my name that we are checking in today without looking in the computer. That is the benefit of a smaller hotel with experienced staff. The hotel and the rooms are very clean. Nice beds, modern bath as we had a room in the newer section of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was outstanding in a very cozy setting. We were very pleased that the Breiterly Hotel had parking adjacent to the hotel for a reasonably daily charge. The location is inside the city walls and allowed us to quickly reach the village center. All in all we can highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely comfortable hotel perfectly positioned inside the city walls, easy walk to everywhere. A good breakfast with friendly helpful staff. We definitely appreciated the private secure car park 30 feet away on the other side of the street which had high gates that were locked at night. Our motorbikes were perfectly safe there.

The hotel is bit dated, could do with a revamp but it is spotlessly clean and the rooms were very comfy. I really would have liked tea n coffee facilities in there. But i already knew from the Booking.com site that there wasn't so it's not a complaint.

Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The location was incredible - you have to drive through one of the old medieval city gates to reach the hotel, and it is right in the old town. It is a 5 minute walk to the main Markt Platz. The building is charming and the rooms have old-time character. There is also an excellent playground just outside the city walls, 2 minute walk.

The room was a bit small for two people, but still comfortable. The decorations were nice and it had a very charming atmosphere.

Great location, it's a 3 minute walk from msrktplatz so you have easy access to all the pretty medieval sights Rothenburg has to offer. About 8 mins away from the train station too. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and cosy! Breakfast was good as well, they offered eggs, fruits, different types of bread, hams, jams and cereal.

There are no lifts, so you have to walk up the stairs with your luggage.

Staff was very flexible one of the mornings when we were late for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was still there and we allowed to still use it, allthough it was our own fault we were this late. I also really liked the interiour of the hotel. It looked very authentic German. Just what I was looking for.

- On both nights I woke up a lot of times because my back was hurting. I never have this at home, so i felt it was due to the matresses. - It is no fault of the hotel itself, but the noise from passing traffic on the cobbled streets is pretty loud. It's caused by the tyres on these stone roads, so no fault of the hotel at all, but it kept me from having a good nights sleep.

The location is key, within the city walls, plus with a little private parking lot at a very reasonable price. The building is small like most Rothenburg inns and they do as well as can be expected to make use of the space. The front desk was polite and efficient, everything was clean and the breakfast was decent. Coffee machine in the breakfast room, which is key for me, was fantastic. All in all a solid choice for a short stay to visit this wonderful town, and recommended for the location which is really key in this particular place.

The hotel is not for long stays due to the restricted space, no gym, tight facilities especially bath, no kettle or coffee in the room, and no food or drinks in the evening. That is normal in Rothenburg, though, and most people come for short stays and for that the hotel is great. You should bring your own soap, though - they give you only 2 small packets of liquid soap. That struck us as odd.

Location, Location! Beautiful scenery and such a quiet location. Host was very responsive and provided clear directions to check in outside of their hours. Rooms are simple, comfortable and clean. Easy access to parking.

Great location within the old city. Be sure to start your tour with a view over the city from the gate tower just meters away. Some views from this floor rooms. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Parking across the street was very convenient.

Little noisy with cars on the cobble road outside, and we were on the third floor. Internet was almost non-functional.
