Living Hotel Nürnberg

We were pleasantly surprised by the kitchenette, and I personally liked the style of furniture in the room. There was a connected parking garage, even though we didn't need it (we found street parking behind the building before we checked-in).

We didn't have much of a view from our room, and the street was a little noisy, but we didn't spend all that much time in there anyway.

The room was exceptionally cleverly equipped fitting everything into a small space. A pleasant surprise of a small free minibar. Good location very close to the old town.

Doors and windows are not very sound-proof so when it gets noisy outside, it is very audible inside as well.

We (and our dog) were staying for a long weekend and we upgraded to one of the Maisonette Apartments (from a double room) which was absolutely perfect for our needs. It was a duplex with a balcony so we had plenty of space and having the kitchenette made such a difference to our weekend. Also having the air conditioning unit in the upstairs bedroom was a godsend as the temperatures were in early 30oC's. Staff were super nice and helpful. I had questions before I arrived and emails were always responded to promptly. We also spent a lovely evening at the Koch und Kellner restaurant a few minutes walk from the hotel. There was on-going construction in the hotel but it never impacted our weekend. I would happily stay again when I am next back in the city.

The hotel was in a good location, just a 15-minute walk from the center of the old town. The room was clean and the right size. The beds were comfortable. Wifi is great.

There is no air conditioning in the old hotel and the temperature was high. To make matters worse, the room was next to a very busy street and on that side there were works on the hotel itself. The noise from the street was unbearable, so the windows were not allowed to be opened at night. It was impossible to sleep at night because if the windows are opened, it is noisy and if they are closed, it is hot because there is no air conditioning.

Exceptionally friendly staff that makes you smile. Free charging on the (paid) underground parking. Really good value for money.

The room was not so large, but it was comfortable, with a reasonably well equipped small kitchen. There was a sun bathed balcony with a view to the silent side street. Temperature was pleasant, with heated floor in some parts. Good location, a short walk from the subway station. Arrangements were done so we could occupy the room before the check-in time, for which we're grateful.

There was a slideable table next to the bed, allowing for more space, which is a good thing. But, upon sliding it, some very dusty surfaces were uncovered. Maybe not good for allergic people.

Room was very comfortable. For a long stay there were all living amenities especially the kitchen facilities which facilitated some quick cooking. Breakfast was nice and variety too. Staff very helpful always with a smile and support. English speaking staff helped more. Location was very close within 200 mt of Gostenhof station. Shops available nearby especial Asian Stores for Indians. City square just 2 stations away at Weiser Turm.

Room cleaning for long stay 12 days for me, was only weekly. At least the bed-covers and pillow covers should be changed every day or at least every two days. Secondly the waste should be cleared every day. This would help in keeping hygiene and feel good factor more.

Location and breakfast were definite "pro's" of our stay at the living hotel. The complimentary beers and water in the room's fridge were nice to enjoy after a long day of walking around, too.

Not a fan of getting a double bed that is just two single mattresses pushed together. I can understand that it is probably better for inventory and movement purposes to have just one type of mattress as a one-shot solution to various bed sizes, but I found it annoying to have this constant gap between myself and my partner when we were sleeping.

The room was of a good size, where the two of us were able to open up our big luggage comfortably. We had a balcony, where I was able to catch a glimpse of the sunrise. We loved the tiny kitchen and how compact it is. The location didn't really matter as much as we were driving. Great point to note is that there are 2 supermarkets (NORMA and Lidl) within walking distance. There is free parking on the roads, though there are plenty of car parked around, but parking in the hotel carpark is at a decent rate of EUR12 for 24 hours. Staff were friendly and very helpful!

Slight issue with opening the door to our room, had to turn the key and kind of position the door properly.

We came for Rock im Park festival so we needed a good comfortable place to live and especially to cook for yourselves every day! So, mini kitchen in our room was the reason why we booked a room in this hotel. It was super comfy because Lidl is located across the street and you can buy anything you want! Also our room had like 3 zones, for sleeping, cooking and dining and relaxing. The hotel located close to the metro station, so it's quite easy to get to the center of the city.

There was something wrong with our air conditioner on the last day.
