Sorat Hotel Saxx Nürnberg

Location is phenomenal, right on the main square, in the heart of the Christmas markets, a nice haven to escape to occasionally! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was lovely and cosy, up in the eaves - it's 'compact and bijou' not a lot of spare space, but enough for our few days when we weren't in it very much. Lovely big bathroom. We didn't eat in the hotel, but there's a really nice lounge area for drinks and friendly bar in the reception area.

Husband wasn't happy with the continental pillows! We did get two extra ones though, which was no trouble. No tea or coffee facilities in the rooms, although available in the lounge. We'd read about this before we went and were able to ask for a kettle and mugs at reception when we checked in (again no trouble at all) and took our own coffee so we could have a mug while we're waking up.

Location was difficult to get to for a rental car because of the pedestrian zone. All people should be told to schedule GPS in car for Hallertor, BEFORE the parking garage nearby or under the hotel. Breakfast was clean with good choices and unrushed atmosphere. The room was clean and the shower facilities nice. Air conditioning was a bonus, since it was very hot and humid during our stay. The location was great for strolls to the city sights.

Location was superb for the Christmas market and many other things to do in the city. Staff were nice and courteous. Rooms were well appointed with toiletries. TV even had a few English channels, mostly news. Room size was adequate though a bit tight. Cool to be able to raise and lower the blinds automatically with the push of a button.

Water pressure was a bit on the lower side but still manageable. WiFi was inconsistent. It kept disconnecting and then reconnecting. Apart from those small issues a great place to stay!

As I travell for work, the location and facilitites were perfect. The only problem I had with stuff. The day before the check in, the reception clerk made me late check out at 3 pm, the day when I had to leave the other reception clerk called me and ask to make the check out at 1 pm. I think there is some miscommunication between stuff.

We arrived at the hotel around 10.00 to leave our luggage knowing that check-in was at 15.00. Nevertheless, the cheerful lady at reception impressed us by handing us our rooms. From this act you understand that they value you as a customer. The hotel is located in the best location of Nuremberg in the central square, which allows you to explore the city on foot. The Metro station is 4 minutes away. 5 taxis are parked at the entrance to go wherever you want. The staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern and clean. The room price is very reasonable. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend it.

Everything was just great! Reception staff -was awesome- helped us navigate our car to their parking garage which was an incredible relief in this busy Old Town. Location was convenient to everything we wanted to see! Right on a main square in old town! Also liked the hospitably of the hotel bar and lounge!

the only problem was finding the location by car; spent a frustrating hour trying to figure it out; finally left the car parked somewhere and follow Google maps on foot to find the hotel - no fault of GPS just the location address was impossible to get to by car. Had to pay for parking but it was worth it and breakfast - had been under the impression breakfast was included - but oh well, would have skipped if known.

I have stayed at the Sorat Hotel Saxx in Nuremberg several times now as I have learned to appreciate the city. It's a modern, clean, efficient hotel right on the market square with a friendly, helpful staff. A bus stop is just out the door to connect with public transportation. As long as I have a larger room, I'm a happy traveler. Some rooms are quite small for a big man like me, however.

Some stains on the light-colored hallway carpet detract from the overall good appearance of the hotel.

Ability to source a firm pillow. (Additional soft pillows were provided, but this still didn't work for me and I slept poorly). Stress when the taxi booked by the hotel didn't turn up with taxi company claiming that they didn't have a booking. (Surely it is easy to request some form of booking number from the taxi company when making the booking to prevent this situation).

We loved everything about the hotel. The rooms are very modern with even remote control shutters on the windows! the furnishing and bedding was all clean and new. we could not fault this hotel and would recommend 100%. I would like to also mention a very special member of the staff called Andreas Milazzo he was so welcoming friendly and helpful during our stay. We ended up leaving behind something very important as we travelled up to Berlin following our stay. He went above and beyond to assist us in posting our item back to Ireland. We are so grateful! thank you!

The breakfast was very good. The food was fresh, nicely presented and there was a solid assortment of options. The servers greeted us every morning with our beverage choices and really made us feel like truly welcome guests! Thank you for the memories, we had an amazing Christmas Mart experience...it was magical!
