Super 8 by Wyndham Oberhausen am Centro

The hotel is perfectly placed for shopping and for concerts. The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel was clean and fresh looking. The bedroom was perfect for our overnight stay. The bathroom had everything we needed and had underfloor heating - perfect!!

The room was positioned on the main road side. With the window open, this was a bit loud, but luckily it wasn't summer, so the window was closed. The room did have air-conditioning though. So in summer this could be used. Otherwise there was nothing negative to say

Simple, but very nice hotel. Staff is very helpful and kind. There's a 24 hour bar and reception. The beds are very comfortable, the shower is really good and the room was pleasant temperature wise. A big plus is that there were electrical outlets everywhere.

The sink wasn't clean - there were hairs in the sink. The in-room safe didn't work. The TV remote didn't work. One of the spots in the bathroom flickered very badly so the lighting in the bathroom was unusable.

Clean, comfortable room; some of the staff were very courteous, walking distance to many restaurants and shops.

How come coffee is free but you have to pay for tea? It would be nice to have an iron in the room, and facial tissue too. There was even a designated area for it in the bathroom. Cleaning staff came by and left it empty again. Tables in the cafe section had crumbs on them and they were still there the next day…

We had the full breakfast and it was a lovely buffet, truly exceeded our expectations. Everything included including rollmops! We even took hot drinks in our travel mugs for our onward journey. Well worth the extra! Also, the hotel does not do evening meals but there are a lot of restaurants and take aways nearby which more than compensate for this.

The surroundings are still in early stages of redevelopment and the car park was confusing to reach. Also, if you don't want to pay the 10 euros for the official car park, there is an option to park on very nearby wasteland. (We decided not to as we are concerned for the security of our vehicle).

We stayed for 1 night and the hotel is just a couple minutes away from the Westfield Centro by car. The christmas market is next to westfield (our reason to visit). There is a free parking spot next to the hotel with plenty of space, but the hotel also offers parking. The rooms were simple, but clean and neat.

Check-in is from 15:00, but when we arrived at 15:45 we had to wait for available rooms for 15 minutes. Minor detail, but quite unfortunate after a long day of travel.

Clean, spacious rooms. Has all the facilities you need (except for a minibar). Very friendly staff, good breakfast, great bar. Location was good as well, next to Centro, however, you will need a car to travel around. Bikes were free to rent, but we did not make use of them.

Missing minibar, but we knew that in advance. Nothing else.

Breakfast was very good, lots of choice, coffee very tasty . Bed was really comfortable. We arrived quite late and the staff was very helpful to accommodate us.

I have trouble with opening the window, did ask for assistance but unfortunately I did not get any help. The room smelled of air freshener, nice for others maybe but not for me as I am allergic. Otherwise all fine.

The hotel has a nice modern look and has comfortable rooms. You get what you expect: a comfy bed, a warm and good looking shower, and generally a good design. The staff is friendly, has humor and makes it a pleasant stay.

The amount of storage space in the room is limited. The parking is small, and not so easy to reach due to the overcrowded parking for the restaurant next door. You cannot use staircases for a more sportive walk upstairs - they are only emergency routes.

Good selection for Breakfast. Area was good for shopping. Rooms clean.

On 1 room, bathroom door was missing....fittings were there but needed one fitted. Could have done with a dim nightlight for the night, all other light's were too bright really. TV channels weren't great, kept displaying 'Weak or No Signal'.
