IntercityHotel Mainz

Decent business hotel, clean and very well located - right behind the central station, not far from the city center or the university campus. From the central station, take the north exist (not the main one) and you will arrive at the hotel within 2 mins. Although rooms face major roads, the windows are high quality so there is no noise coming through.

They would require early check-in fee even if they have ready rooms in the morning (this is fair, but more common for low-cost accommodations). It is also evident that they encourage direct bookings (e.g., public transport tickets are given only to guests who are members of their loyalty program). Personal opinion - breakfast is overpriced. There are decent bakeries in the central station.

A great hotel, so close to the train station , just 2-3 minutes. The room was very clean and spacious. The bed and the pillows really comfortable for a good rest. A good working air-condition, so important, since Mainz had high temperatures those days. Also the mini bar was extremely useful . Both of them very essential. The bathroom had plenty of space to leave your personal toiletries .The window opens for fresh air and despite the noisy street, when it is closed you hear absolutely no noise. Also a tram/bus stop right in front of the hotel, for easy access to the city center. Walking distance to city center 10-15 minutes. The staff always polite and helpfull. All in all, a good stay, especially if you need to use the train in daily base.

Since in front of the hotel there is a big pavement and big ashtrays already exist, it would be nice to put a bench -or two, so the guests do not have to stand - like they are punished - while they smoke. No place to leave your coffee or juice . Very inconvinient. Not only for smokers but for any guest. It would be nice for the facade of the hotel too.

The hotel is very well located, only a few minutes walk from Mainz train station (Hbf). Be sure to take the West exit, which is the closest. The hotel is also just in front a bus/tram stop that allow you to get to the university in under 10 minutes. I was there for a conference and had to stay in my room for almost the whole trip. The room was comfortable enough to do so and Internet good enough to have long Zoom conference calls without issue. The breakfast buffet was also very convenient to save time, and had a wide selection.

Though convenient, the breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, especially given my home currency.

Unemptied bin upon my arrival in the room, pretty unconvenient and expensive parking (although it's still very nice there is one)

The location, modern room with good facilities and air conditioning. The fridge was a great bonus.

Was not offered free transport ticket. We stayed 5 nights and requested €5 voucher every night which is offered instead of daily house keeping. We never received any of the four vouchers due to us. We asked at reception for a corkscrew and was told they did not have one. Very dusty shelf in bedroom over fridge m

Modern room, clean, plenty of choice in breakfast, helpful and kind staff in both restaurant and hotel, excellent location just across the street of the main railway station and yet in a quiet corner. Free local public transport ticket for the duration of your stay included.

We have no complaints, we can only say that the downside of our room in the quiet corner was the view on a parking garage. It didn't matter to us, and if it matters to you - well, it's a oval building , so ask the reception for a room with a view to your liking.:) Keep in mind that the hotel seems geared to business or adults, we didn't see (or hear) any young children during our stay.

Located 5 mins from the train station, really nicely appointed modern hotel. Spotlessly clean with really helpful staff. Small bar/lounge area but plenty of other places close by. We’d definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

Fantastic hotel and very close to the station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice, there were a lot of options to choose from.

I sometimes could hear people on the hall way but it wasn't disturbing

Really comfy beds, complementary sparkling water in every room, if you become member of their group, for free, you get real increase in internet speed, around 190/190 Mbit/s, which is really handy if you're on a business trip.

Breakfast was really "poor" for around 15€ per person. I know it's the pandemic, but that is no excuse for having only cooked eggs and some meats and cheeses in slices. Bacon? Scrambled eggs? Come on. On the good side of breakfast I would add fruit salad and muesli.

A Modern and conveniently located hotel by the station and 15 min walk into town. Mainz is charming city and this hotel, (.along).with a great breakfast) was a perfect 1 night stay
