The staff was nice and kind, speak english very well. They answersed fast to all my questions adressed on booking messages. They gave me good directions to the places I had to go. They have a nice reception where you can stay and make new friends. The room was cleaned daily. The toilets were clean. Inside is a safe place in an unsafe area, if you feel unsafe on the street they are there to help. They have free tea and coffee full time, not only at breakfast. The breakfast was good, diverse and tasty.

The hostel is located in red light district which can be unsafe if you travel alone, but from my experience (travelled alone) the biggest problem is your misunderstanding about what red light district means. It is more in your had than on the street, the Police is there all day. A big visible lighted loggo on the building would be great. I arrived there by night and I barely found the place, and I felt uncomfortable due to the area. On the door would be great if you have a message with "Ring ->"

I stayed in the 3 bed dorm room with a private bathroom and toilet including breakfast. 3 mins walk from the Frankfurt central station. The place was clean, rooms were easy access by an elevator and a nice outside seating space too. The breakfast spread was really good unlike hostels providing basic things like bread and eggs, they had a lot of nice options. Also have a pool table in the basement. The staff was helpful and they have boards with local recommendations for food, music, dancing etc.

Unrelated to the hostel itself, I didn't like the location/area. Lots of homeless people, lots of noise, you might be followed as well, it's the red light district. But, bonus points for the hostel because they sent me a message informing me about the area not being good and that they can't really help it and allowed me to cancel for free if I changed my mind based on that input.

They clean daily and do a better, more thorough job than any other hostel in the area. Rooms (dorm) are large enough to not feel crowded by people or suitcases. Lockers are the biggest in the area as well. Staff are good at their jobs AND friendly, two things other hostels struggle with.

The neighborhood -- you're stepping over people smoking drugs on the sidewalk and it's loud on weekends. I'm not crazy about how they have variable pricing instead of a fixed rate; it works well for the company, no doubt, but can make it hard to plan for budget travelers.

Great experience. Perfect location and service for the price. You are in the city centre and right next to train station . You don’t even need public transport ticket. Very friendly and kind stuff. I was really surprised when I found a basement with laundromat, luggage lockers and some fun activities down there. There are clean showers and bathrooms on every floor. Even though this place is situated in quite sketchy street with lots of drug addicts, I genuinely felt very safe here, because they won’t let anyone enter the hostel as well as the cafeteria/ bar. You have to ring a bell in orders to access the building, so being at this bar late at night felt safe and cozy and they also have happy hour and offer free tea and coffee at any time. I wasn’t afraid of some drunkards entering the building and ruining the friendly atmosphere of the bar. I also had a beautiful view from my dorm. What I absolutely loved about my stay that the staff is very transparent about their location and that someone might not feel comfortable in such area. They sent me an email where they mentioned this and gave me an option to cancel. Doing so would be a mistake. Those people seem dangerous but as long as you don’t engage with them and just pass them by, they won’t do anything. In conclusion for such price this is a hidden gem.

Sketchy district

the staff is really cool, friendly and helpful. the hostel is very cosy, lively and there are some common areas where you can spend some time playing some games and the guitar or chatting with some friends or other mates. there is a kitchen, microwave, stove, oven, refrigerador, kettle, pans, cutlery, cups, glasses, washing machine and dryer. however, it's kind of small, but possible to cook your own good and do your laundry. apart from this, the hostel is really clean. besides, it's very close to the hauptbahnhof where you can find several trains and subways lines and there are buses and trams nearby, too. nowadays, you have to be a bit more careful in the neighborhood because it's crowded.

at night, the streets are a little noisy because there are some night clubs on the same street.

My point is little controversial , I like that the hostel is located near central satiation , but the are is little shady ( but I should give a point , since the staff informs about the near located red light distinct immediately after reservation , and you have some time to cancel it). Also , I would give a point for near located doner houses that works during the Christmas time ( 25th of December). Radiator did not work in my room, but the staff was very kind by providing a heater instead. They also provided free tea and coffee on EG.

Only thing that I did not like is a holes in the blanket in my room

The hostel has a very social atmosphere with a big common room joined onto reception. There was a free crêpe night the evening that I was there which was great for meeting other travellers The staff were very friendly and happy to help with any questions I had about the city/recommendations on where to eat. They were very prompt with replying by email to any queries I had before my stay. They even posted back my water bottle to me after I had left it behind.

Whilst the hostel itself is great, I should warn (especially solo) travellers about the location. It's in the red light district, and I got some strange looks in the streets around the hostel at all times of the day. I didn't feel that comfortable being out after dark by myself. It didn't get any worse than that, but it's a pretty dodgy area, and I think it's worth taking precautions if you stay there.

Friday evening. They have a beer tasting for free samples of different local/German breweries You dont get any info on it but you get to sit at the big table with other guests and staff that gives a table of different nationalities, etnici, backgrounds, reasons for travel that will create a lovely evening full of conversations and new friendships. Even if they lasts only that night.....that 5elememts for that. I had a blast. Though its in a bad part of the city and can feel a little intimidating on your way to the hostel it is quite safe to move around the area. Just keep notice of your surrounding. But that goes for more cities. The ones that feel safe and areas full of tourists are just bait for pickpockets here you dont have that problem its really centrally located. I hven used it this trip but you can order a drink, a bite to eat, there are some vending machines and a lounge/recreational area. For every backpacker, weekendtourists, people over 40 but young at heart ....... Book 5elements

Only reason to advice not to go is when you are a light sleeper. Cause its 100mtr form the main station so all day long you got people on the street 24hours, sirens, for me and people that like there is always something happening it is a pro instead of a con
