Villa du Taur

It was a beautiful hotel, with the best location you could hope for. We enjoyed the design very much, the room was big, the bed comfortable with a lot of pillows, there was a window door to the bathroom (that was huge) which was cute for a couple but would not recommend to friends or colleagues staying together :D. The room was stocked with nescesities and clean.

Even though we enjoyed the design and style and size of the bathroom and shower, the shower looked a bit dated, with mold in some places. The parking is not on site, it’s 5 minutes walk away. The hotel has better pricing with the parking, but it’s still 15 euro a day. In a 4 star hotel with such price, i’d expect the parking to be in the hotel or free.

We checked in pretty late and it was a quick check-in. Our room was large for Europe and had three giant windows that you could open, which was nice to get fresh air into the room. Bed was comfortable and the pillows were good. Room had a desk and chair and place to put your luggage. We had a room that didn't have a door to the bathroom OR the shower--which could make it interesting if you were sharing with friends. Eeek! Shower was awesome--big with hot water all the time and really good pressure. I loved the fact that they had Rituals toiletries!! Room's air conditioning worked well and it was always frigid in our room which was great since it was so hot out in May! They let us keep our luggage at the hotel on the last day which was nice! We would stay here again!

Great staff and location. Nice contemporary artwork in rooms and public spaces. Bar and restaurant were appreciated. Late checkout available for a fee.

The chairs in the rooms were old, uncomfortable, and not up to standard for this establishment. Some carpeting in the rooms is needed

Well equipped and comfortable rooms right next to the Baslique St Sernin. Although there is no parking at the hotel, Parking Jeanne d Arc is an easy walk to the hotel. The hotel is well placed to visit the sights of Toulouse (many easy walking distance). There are lots of options to eat out in a short distance and also the option to buy some staples, including a boulangerie next door, and store them in the rooms fridge if this is your preference.

None to note

The hotel is next to the St Sernin Cathedral, which is a “don’t miss” in Toulouse. It’s sleek and modern and very comfortable; the room even had a slick espresso maker. The bed was comfortable, the shower spacious with good water flow and temperature. The front desk staff was attentive and professional.

There were no real night stands. The bathroom is separated from the room by a sliding door and frosted glass, which reduces privacy.

Excellent and right in the middle of the city with easy access. Everything worked as it should, the staff were really helpful and we really enjoyed it - we are keen rugby fans and should we come to Toulouse again, which is very likely, we will stay at the Villa du Taur for certain.

Great location in Toulouse, in the heart of the city, walking distance to restaurants and cafes.

No parking at the property and it is virtually impossible to get there by car (restricted access streets) so you'd need to carry your luggage from a public car park which has extremely small parking lots for modern cars.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. Accommodating staff. The hotel’s location is excellent.

The breakfast is not worth it. Better to go out.

Clean, comfortable, small hotel. Overall we liked everything. Delicious breakfasts and friendly staff. The location is great. If possible, I recommend taking larger rooms.
