We felt like in a dream castle and museum at the same time. The hosts were perfect - very friendly, kind and we engaged in an interesting conversation about the property and history. The room was simply beautiful, clean and cosy. The whole house was astonishing, perfectly taken care of and with beautiful pieces of decorations and art. Isabella is an amazing lady, who gives the house a soft touch and we loved how she cared for everything with passion. The music in the house made it magical and the breakfast we enjoyed a lot as well. Pierre was a friendly host who supported us and recommended a great restaurant close by. We enjoyed a swim upon arrival and the hosts were unbelievably kind to prepare a romantic table outside in the garden with candle lights at night.

We got scared by the loud noise of the toilet flush. So the first time was quite interesting but again, it’s an old house :-) There is a road close by that could be Heard- a little bit but not very much.

This is a stunning property, absolutely beautiful, the taste and every detail of our accommodation was simply outstanding. Isabelle and Pierre - the Chateau owners, are so hospitable and so helpful, very proud of their home and shared a lot of interesting detail about the history of the Chateau, its heritage and plans for the future. Due to flights disruptions we arrived quite late and were welcomed like family. We loved absolutely everything and our first breakfast so beautifully prepared by Isabelle was unforgettable. We will definitely be back. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

Isabelle and Pierre were perfect hosts. Sleeping and eating amid the owner’s furnishings which have been in their families for many generations was a special treat, and it was all comfortable and clean and up to date as well. The real « vie de chateau « .

There was nothing we did not like, but wished we had had time to use the lovely pool. It would have been good though to have one croissant per person.

Hosts were lovely - providing helpful tips and answering every query - places to visit, restaurants, etc. Isabel and Pierre are certainly passionate about the castle and its history. I recommend having dinner on site - it was delicious. A great place for history buffs and those seeking truly unique experience.

unique chateau beautifully decorated. The hosts Isabelle and Pierre were incredibly welcoming and recommended some great near by restaurants for us. We needed to leave early in the morning and Pierre went out his way to ensure a smooth send off for us . I would love to have stayed longer.

Beautiful property and wonderful hosts. The property is very well located: it’s close to Toulouse (about 20 minutes driving) and extremely peaceful with a large, beautiful garden. The room we had was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and spotless clean.

A beautifully and sympathetically restored house with genuine period furniture and authentic ambience. Charming, attentive and fascinating hosts. The quality of food, drink, local knowledge and advice was unparalleled. Without question, staying as guests at Chateau Ratou was the highlight of our vacation.

The hosts Isabelle and Pierre were always attentive and provided a very personal service and stay in their wonderful historic home. They were very helpful in suggesting places to eat and visit in the locale. They made us feel very special.

Superb. Beautifully furnished opulent accommodation. A genuine chateaux experience. Owners were exceptionally friendly. Beautiful heated swimming pool. Fabulous.
