Campanile Saint Jean de Luz

Great location within walking distance of the beach, near the main road but didn’t notice any noise. Big supermarket just 2 minutes away ( inc petrol station and great posh burger restaurant). Hotel has good and secure parking, is spotless and with very good bed and excellent shower. Helpful staff etc. Discounts of 15% on restaurant next door. A great stopover or for longer ( we did three nights - went to San Sabastian in Spain for an afternoon and Biarritz for an evening) A great place to stay

Clean room, easy acces to freeway (we were just passing through) Cote Basque is beautiful (my personal favourite spot is this whole region, mix of mountains, ocean and good food)

not that much, breakfast could be better though.. it takes little effort to have good coffee, fresh juice and such in stead of meh. Thing is that it doesn't have to be much more expensive or take that much more effort, it is a setting in the coffee machine, but leaves a lasting impression (and a positive one)

We stayed here going home from Spain during the early stages of the pandemic and everything was closed. At that time this nice hotel felt like a safe haven to spend the night. This time around everything was a lot more lively and buzzing. But still a very comfortable place for a stopover. Spotlessly clean and everything just works. The breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended.

The hotel is located just off the E5 and is really easy to find. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is plentiful and good quality. Access to and from the centre of Saint Jean de Luz is easy via taxi (€15) or by car 5-8 mins. Parking in Saint Jean de Luz can be difficult at certain times so a taxi is a good option. There is a fantastic restaurant next to the hotel called Tokiko which also offers a 15% discount if you show your room card. Great food and a fantastic selection of basque cuisine.

Perfect location to stop off while driving to or from Spain i.e. right off the main motorway. The young girl on reception couldn't have been more helpful, very welcoming to dogs. Reasonable bar to get chill and have a drink after a long drive. Also had a nice walk to the beach with the dog which is 15 mins away.

While breakfast was available there was no facility for evening meals. That said, there is a restaurant next door and plenty of takeaways within a few minutes drive.

The hotel is modern, with a simple but very pleasant decoration. They were extremely polite, notably the young man from the reception. We arrived a bit late for a regular check-in, but not only he assured the check-in as he prepared a light meal, despite the restaurant being already closed and his shift had finished. The breakfast is regular, products are good although without a large diversity. Tea and coffee-making facilities are available in the room, which is very pleasant.

The timetable for the bar /restaurant is a bit restricted, as it closes at 11 pm.

The hotel was like new. All facilities modern and clean. Liked the kettle and coffee making in room. Was so pleased our two little dogs were allowed, but had to pay 9 euros each for them. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated off the main road and easy to find. Very near to local beach. It was also a short distance from the main town which was beautiful.

The slip road leading up to it and another hotel and restaurant was full of pot holes and has no street lights. Badly needs repaving.

A very clean and comfortable hotel,kettle in room and pets welcome.The staff were very friendly and helpful.There is secure parking and a small lane by the hotel where you can take your dog for a walk. you can check in automatically if you arrive after 11pm. The hotel is situated very conveniently for the motorway and the Spanish border.

The staff were welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable in a modern hotel. Plenty of parking on site which is locked over night. It was quiet, yet only a short distance from the main route. The self service breakfast was excellent. Two restaurants very close (two minutes walk) from the hotel, one of which we ate at and had a good meal.

Excellent choice when traveling with children and pets. The location is very convenient as it is very close to the highway. There are two restaurants in walking distance from the hotel and both accept dogs. There is a large green area behind the hotel where dogs can run free. Breakfast is good and the rooms are very comfortable
