Hôtel Du Baou

They have everything! The air condition didn't work, but they called me and explained the situation prior to my arrival. They offered me a free cancelation. We liked vending coffee machine and drinks. They have elevator to higher floors and the view is wonderful. You can see whole Nizza from this hotel.

The only thing I didn't like is driving so high, but the view is worth it.

Looking at the reviews this hotel seems to get some negative reviews but we found that for the price it was very nice. We were only passing through so only stayed one night but everything was fine. It isn't a luxury 5-star but it was clean and had a nice breakfast. It is up on the heights of Nice with good views.

The place probably could do with some improvements but it was not too expensive and suited our needs very well.

I booked late at about 10.30pm after a flat tyre in the mountains and the receptionist was fast to confirm I could have parking and an 11.30pm arrival which their attentive and positive attitude to my questions was my sole reason for booking. I appreciated the persons help and am grateful the property has great parking and was comfortable enough and economical which suited my needs.

The property is older but I got what I needed most which was reliable and attentive staff that had a very helpful attitude thanks. That means a lot to stressed out travellers sometimes.

Actually everything was perfect ex est fir the last night where some people did some noise... the staff took it seriously and tried to identify who was responsible. Unfortunately that was our last night before driving 1000kms back home...

We stayed here on a road trip along the south of France, and this was the choice near Nice. It is a little bit far from Nice itself, on the top of a long hill, what makes it a very silent and discrete hotel. Room was clean and kind of spacious, but cluttered with furniture that would make more sense if we were staying for long, cooking and so. The breakfast was very good and the staff could not be nicer, they were very attentive and helpful. Lots of parking spaces.

The hotel is crying for a refurbishment. You can see it was a great place a long time ago, but it shows too much aging. Mold, stains, dark colors in carpet and furniture. The bathroom was clunky and showering was kinda difficult. But the hotel is very clean.

My friends and I have appreciated the hotel location on the hills above Cannes-sur-Mer and Antibes—which can be easily reached in roughly 20 minutes’ drive—and the good breakfast. The staff have been helpful, and the room is clean and also equipped with airco.

The bathroom is tiny, but it’s the French standard.

The hotel was very pleasant and all staff (especially Ion) were extremely helpful and friendly. Facilities were well kept and one could see the work and dedication put in everything.

A full restaurant offering more than just breakfast would be welcomed.

Rather large and well-equipped room with kitchenette and bathtub. Nice mountain view from the balcony.

La Gaude is located in the mountains and the drive to the sea takes about 30 minutes.

On top of the hill, our room had nice view. The breakfast was just a bit dissapointing. Not too far from Nice, no more than 10 minutes of driving. Facility is clean, quiet, room had a small kitchen. Staff was very friendly.

Lovely room, clean and cosy. The beds were comfortable and my dog who was travelling with me was welcome, which is very important to me. The staff were very kind and accommodating.
