Beautiful setting and perfectly furnished with taste and style. The hotel handled the oxygen requirements of my husband very well. Specific complaints were dealt with efficiently and fairly.

Many of the staff were very efficient and effective but there also was a proportion of personnel who let the hotel down in our opinion. This applied particularly in the Auberge were service was erratic and not particularly pleasant. Many of the staff looked miserable and frankly unhappy in their work. We had four visits to the restaurant covering breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and then decided to eat outside of the hotel due to the very ordinary standard of food and the variable level of service.

A beautiful hotel in a stunning location - the design is brilliant and you feel completely surrounded by nature. The pool is also beautiful and the free bikes are great for exploring the countryside.

The check in was poor and it took us 2 hours to get into our room. There were also a few problems with air con not working, and pool was pretty dirty as filters weren't on, showers being repaired etc. They did fix the air con quickly and made up for the slow check in with some complimentary products, which was appreciated. Overall we didn't think the issues were handled very well by the staff and we expected a little more considering it is a luxury hotel.

Very good hotel, nice stuff, stylish rooms and area around. Perfect location - very close to many castles of the valley. You can take a bike ride or run to Cheverny castle.

The restaurant with general food is not quite good, no comfort food, very small menu, no room service and no breakfast in the restaurant - only basket in the room, but it is not convenient enough

We had a wonderful stay - the place is beautiful, location is great and the attention to detail is superb. Our room was gorgeous and had a beautiful view looking out on a field with horses. It was very much the type of place where you felt happy to sit and relax with a glass of wine. We ate at the L'Auberge restaurant and the food was great - was especially pleased that there were vegetarian options for one of us. There's quite a bit to do in terms of amenities on the property and we took advantage of the bicycles to cycle into the nearby town. The staff were also really helpful and made guests feel well looked after. Hope to return one day!

We stayed in the original Chateau and it was excellent. Large room, comfortable bed, excellent facilities like outdoor pool and hot tub plus comfortable lounge areas with tea and coffee to relax and fabulous staff. After staying in other 5* Chateau properties in France, I can say this is the only one that equates to an actual 5* property.

Hard to think of a negative, however I do think the Spa facilities should be included in the room rate.

Fantastic hotel - the building itself and the interior is impressive. The staff are extremely accommodating. The surrounding forest is also amazing.

For guests who do not have a rental car, it will be extremely costly to get anwhere not within walking or cycling distance, as taxis from the hotel are a minimum of 60 Euro. The Spa prices were also abit higher than one would expect.

Nice staff, very helpful

Breakfast was overpriced. Also our room had an electric buzz that was very annoying. We moved to a much better room at the same rate that had also been available our first night, so we don’t understand why we were not in that room to start. The first room was tiny with tiny windows, the worst room they had. The second room was excellent.

Staff was incredibly friendly, which tells me they like their job and have great management. All the services were first rate. Beautifully furnished room. Definitely five star accommodations. Excellent restaurant with wonderful and attentive waiters, and delicious food. Chateau is historic.

Very expensive. If you are not on a budget, this place is for you!

beautiful location with nice balance of luxury and retreat. the food was amazing and they made my husband’s birthday so special. Antony is probably the best concierge we have ever worked with.

a casual bistro/bar in another location aside from Auberge would have been nice - but that’s being quite picky :)

The beautifully curated interior design, the connection with unspoilt nature. I loved it all - special and exceptional experience.

Small details - have milk available in the room mini bar, better quality toilet paper and maybe a brighter lighting option for the moody green walled rooms.
