Colmar Hotel

The hotel is in excellent location to Colmar Gare which also has a free navette shuttle service into the Old Town stopping at multi locations(9:00-19:00) The hotel itself is modern and well maintained. Our room was very clean, the aircon excellent(exceptionally quiet!) and the bed very comfortable. Although close to the train line the room was exceptionally quiet and late night rail had no impact on your sleep. The Reception, and all staff in general, are very friendly and helpful with anything you may need. The breakfast is really great. The breakfast room is lovely with all staff great in providing you with a friendly smile and any assistance to facilitate an enjoyable breakfast

No issues whatsoever. The only aspect you need to be aware of is that the Old Town is a short walk which is no issue in good weather but we had 4x34C days so the free navette service is an excellent backup if you don’t want to walk. It runs every 20 minutes from 9:00 to 19:00 excluding Sunday

Great hotel, great breakfast. The room was a bit small, but ok for our super short stay. There was a coffee machine, bath robe and slippers, everything to make us feel comfortable.

Nothing to complain.

With our vehicle’s navigation system it was easy to find the hotel. There is free onsite parking that is a plus in any city. The hotel was in a good location across the street from the train station making it easy to catch the train to Strasbourg. The historic center was a mile away. The town runs a free, small, hop on, hop off type bus “La Navette” that starts and stops at the train station. It loosely runs every 15 minutes. Our room was smaller than other hotels and reminded me of those in the Ibis chain. It did have a safe, mini bar, coffee maker and kettle for boiling water. It also had electronically operated blinds, common in Europe, to block the sun. The bed was comfortable. While there was a safe, it was in the same cabinet as the mini bar and picked up the heat generated by it. It would not be good for anything heat sensitive. Breakfast was fine and was typical European; yogurt, fruit, cheese, meats, eggs, juices, coffee, etc. it also had crepes and pancakes.

This property deserves a 10 all around. I've stayed at 5 stars that put less effort into pleasing their guests. From the check-in with its detailed descriptors of services, to the comfortable well-appointed room and bathroom with a superabundance of free amenities, to the expansive breakfast spread, to the small bottle of Alsatian wine given to me at check-out as a token of thanks from the hotel, the whole experience was more than excellent and well above the expectations that I had held for the property. The parking is free; the hotel's price point is more than reasonable. The charming, historic town of Colmar is close by. The Colmar Hotel is THE place to stay when visiting the area.

Super accommodation with an intimate, boutique feel, just a couple of minutes from the railway station and only a 10-15 minute stroll to Little Venice and the beautiful old town of Colmar. The attention to detail in the rooms was incredible - everything from a shoe horn to a sewing kit - plus a state of the art coffee machine and widescreen TV with multiple channels should you find the time to watch it! . The inclusive breakfast buffet was excellent, top quality Continental, fruit, cereals, scrambled egg, sausages - you name it, they offered it! a three-star hotel that offers five-star service and accommodation.

Everything was perfect.

Nice hotel, professional and understanding staff. They try to make everyone comfortable. Also were proactive in letting us know in advance about the late night check-in. Self-serve breakfast is satisfactory and the hotel staff make for you hot beverages. 3 min walk from train station - come out of train station, take a right, first left and then first right - the hotel is on your right.

Nothing not to like as such. We booked a decent size room approx. 17 meter square. I wish they had bigger rooms but rooms in Colmar in general are small. Also I think the display banner of "Colmar Hotel" could be better/prettier. We couldn't eat breakfast in the ground floor terrace as there was intermittent rain.

All the staff from the hotel reception was very helpful and friendly, they were smiling all the time and they had a very positive attitude. The room was very clean, tea and coffee are provided in the room, there is a small bar at the reception, also a few tables outdoor in the courtyard, very enjoyable atmosphere. Breakfast is rich, lots of goodies, great coffee - a special thanks to all the ladies serving breakfast!

We had a small issue with a fast phone charger that disappeared from the room, but the receptionist replaced it with a spare one they had. We were just surprised it happened since everything was almost perfect at Colmar Hotel.

Breakfast was super! Cuppuchino's were the best we had in Europe over 3 weeks. The juice in glass bottles were of outstanding quality. Always appreciate the madelein cakes at breakfast. Very near to train station and busses for visiting surrounding villages. Ladies at reception and breakfast were extremely friendly and helpfull. Aircon was also the best we had - it was extremely hot, 3rd week of June 2023.

Crepes and flapjacks should be kept warm. Did not like the way they prepared the scrambled eggs. Most of the chairs in breakfast room need urgent attention - risk to sit on them.

Everything. The position is great, near the train station at 5 minutes walk to the old center. No need car or taxi. The parking is right in front of the hotel. The staff is really very friendly and supportive. Rooms are big, clean, confortable, fitted as a 4 stars , beds are great, bathroom big and clean. A special bravo for the breakfast. One of the best comparing with a lot of hotels. Products are of high quality, even bio, very but very diversified and fresh. It's made everything with great attention and care. A wonderfull experience, this is really one of the best 3 star you can get. Thank you

I would stay one more night just for the breakfast

Great location. We returned our rental car at Avis, then walked next door to the hotel. In the night, we took a 15 min stroll to the old town for a nice dinner. The next morning, we walked next door to the railway station to catch a train. The breakfast spread is delightful.
