The location of the hotel is very convenient. Close to Calais centre, retail parks for your shopping and the car tunnel if you make the channel crossing. The room is comfortable, clean and spacious and the tea/coffee making facilities are always useful to have. The hotel staff is polite, courteous and has attended very well to our queries and needs. We stayed two nights as we wanted to explore the Cote d'Opale before we make the crossing back to the UK. The area is definitely worth the visit with its lovely villages, rugged and windy coastline, walking and cycling trails (which are well signposted), breath taking views and the possibility to see Dover's white cliffs (just opposite 40km away). The history of the place is very connected to the second world war with litters of bunkers, batteries and other fortifications the Nazis built in to defend against allies assaults but also to batter the UK with artillery guns. Don't miss the opportunity to try the local restaurants. Seafood is excellent (the area is famed for its lobsters and crabs), prices are reasonable and the service is attentive and efficient.

There was nothing we didn't like. Perhaps a shelf in the room's cupboards to put some clothing would be convenient (there were only hangers). A hair dryer in the room can also be handy. Other than that, nothing in particular that we didn't like.

We spent only one night but I would consider spending my full holidays there. Receptionist was extremely helpful and kind. This might not be everyone's cup of tea but we were traveling with 2 dogs (5€ per night per dog btw) and everything was accomodating. It is always difficult to travel with your pets, 2/who are a part of your family and not all accommodations respect that. Campanile has enclosed garden if you want to let your pet roam around which is very helpful. Accommodation was very close to Calais fort. Parking can be overcrowded but there os an option of parking outside in front of the property with CCTV operating. Overall i feel this is a great option for someone who is travelling on budget and long distances with pets. I'm extremely grateful to Campanile as all other places charged at least 10€ per night for a dog. Dogs are a part of our family and should not be drastically charged and punished for being brought along. Thanks very much and hopefully see you again.

The receptionist, Amelie was very helpful and spoke good English. The meal on Monday evening was the usual high standard. I requested a ground floor room and it was provided'

The rooms are looking more than a little tired, especially the walls. They have been in this state for several years. The evening meal on Sunday was disappointing .Amelie said she had no chef or staff for the kitchen but did offer a choice of two main courses with no starter or dessert.

The rooms were big enough and the bathroom quite large as compared to some other hotels. Our rooms were on the ground floor and there was no noise at night. The beds were very comfortable, we slept great. The restaurant had a small menu but prices were good and the food nice. The atmosphere was very relaxed and warm and we will go back. The two ladies were extremely friendly. The car par is locked but they offered to put our bikes in a safe place.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful, very accomodating. The hotel has secured gate and offer limited but good enough dinner if you don't want to go out after a long journey. Breakfast was good

Not to hotel's fault but the room initially allocated to me did smell cigarette (can't control hotel guests) but when I asked to change room they moved me without question. Rooms are a little bit "tired" and bed was a tiny bit too firm for my liking but that is very personal.

I stated two nights at this hotel on my journeys from Spain to the UK via France in order to use The Channel Tunnel. Comfortable, very friendly and helpful staff. I had my best evening meal here out of all the Campanile Hotels I visited. Recommended for a stay to use the Tunnel

Basic facilities so bring you own washing facilities. Room a bit cramped but sufficient for a single person

The last time I came to this Campanile I was very disappointed. It seemed to be going down hill which was a shame as it's location is very good for travellers. The menu was very limited and uninspiring but now I am pleased to report that they seemed to have upped their game. The room had had a lick of paint, the menu had a lot more choices and the food was good. I'll use this Campanile again.

Convenience for Channel tunnel and ferries. Residential quiet location and gated secure parking. Liked access by own entrance, secure feeling from sturdy wind down exterior blinds. Very clean and tea/coffee making facilities for late night/early morning brew much appreciated.

Simple furnishings as should be expected. Only critisism would be lack of hot water in bathroom.

This hotel has secure parking, gates closed at 11PM, breakfast opens early we had ours at 7AM, tea/coffee in room etc, for a 1 night stay great for the ferry.

Car park spaces small, limited breakfast selection, though plenty, basic room, but the price reflects this, I can’t really fault this place for the money. Would I stay here again. Yes.

Bath available. Good sized room, kettle available to make hot drinks with some tea and coffee included. TV available and shutters on Windows to keep room dark when sleeping and provide better sense of security. Helpful instructionals on wall for heating use etc. Pet dog was allowed and there was a garden space in the front of our room. I was there with my infant daughter and I felt relatively safe to let her roam in the room and to enjoy the grass outside, which was well maintained. The staff advised me there was no double bed room available, only twin but still managed to get me what I preferred.

The mattress on one side was a bit old feeling and I woke up sore, but the other side was fine and comfortable. That was my only criticism of my stay. It's not Central but centre not far off you have a car to use.
