ibis Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck

A great position to visit the city with the tram stop near the hotel. We had breakfast at the bar, a coffee and 2 croissant which was of excellent value. We ate a few times in the restaurant which was good quality and reasonably priced. The staff very friendly and helpful.

I asked for a wheelchair friendly room. The bathroom was accessibile and no problem but the size of the room was minmal with the bed against the wall which was difficult to get in and out of. Being in a wheelchair it was difficult to move around the room.

Location, room, and bathroom were all excellent for walking into the Bordeaux CBD or just 30metres away from the tram. The breakfast was excellent, my only suggestion would be to have a bit more variety for the dinner menu.

I had to dispose of the bin in the bathroom twice because the cleaners would not. I was lucky a garbage truck pulled up outside when I walked it through reception. Out of the hotels control, but the noise from the protestors (pension age increase) and the constant sirens 🚨 from police cars day and night made the trip a bit more stressful, less relaxing than I would of liked, particularly since I booked in 2022. I don't blame the hotel, it was out of their control, and otherwise made us feel welcome.

I liked the place, it was in a convenient location, the room was clean and spacious and with a great view! There was a big variety of breakfast options and the staff was nice. All in all, I had a good stay.

I was a bit disappointed with the following: 1. I arrived after midnight, after a long trip and I was asked to pay immediately for the whole amount of my stay. 2. The cutlery that was available for breakfast was often not clean enough. I had to check twice to make sure I get clean ones. 3. The towels were worn out and one of them even had wholes. It would make a much better impression if the hotel management replaced them with new ones.

The hotel is on the tram line to the airport so really handy to get to. The tram line also gets you to the city centre but to be honest it is within easy walking distance, so great for sight seeing. The room was comfortable, with air conditioning which is a must. It’s a lovely hotel with a good bar area. It has a restaurant for breakfast but I didn’t try it, much prefer trying local cafes.

The outside bar seating upstairs needs a bit of attention.

The best selling point for this hotel is its location. The hotel is situated in a lovely neighbourhood with cafes, restaurants and shops close-by. 5 minute walk to the Cathedral and a few stepst from both tram and bus lines that will take you wherever you need to go in the city. Breakfast was more than adequate, with enough versatility. Hotel spaces are lovely and clean, so is the room we were staying in. Rooms are not too big, but they were cozy enough for the three of us, our luggage and our buggy. I would say that the hotel gives a lot of value for the money and I would stay there again.

These are not big issues, but there was the case of some (pretty elementary :)) bathroom accessories missing from our room - namely the toilet brush, and some toilet paper. However, all such issues are dealt with swiftly and without problems with a simple phone call to the reception. So, not a problem at all :)

Breakfast was very varied and offered something for everyone. The staff was amazing , all the people working at the front desk were very professional and helpful. They really made our stay more pleasant. Having a car , this location was ideal for our arrival into Barcelona and easy to find. Parking was easy , and the metro station was half a block from the hotel. This is a very nice Ibis and our rooms were large and comfortable Reasonable prices . All added up to a great stay in a fantastic city.

The staff were great, all of them super nice and accommodating. The location very good. The room was spacious and clean but it felt old, it could do with a touch up. Just because "budget" is on the name doesn't mean you can't spend some money to improve the facilities. But once again, all the employees were great, no complaints there!

What happened to the sockets? Who forgot to install them? There were three, all of them in odd parts of the room. Obviously, not the staff's fault but maybe make a note for the next renovation.

The hotel is extremely well located, just 5 min walking from the cathedral and the main street of Bordeaux. The bus from the airport is just around the corner and goes by every 7-10 minutes. The hotel staff is friendly and the common areas are modern, young and very well decorated.

Although the common areas are renovated the rooms are old and not very confortable. The bed was too small for the mattress and the bathroom had some problems going inside and out the shower (too high and not enough space between the glass and the wall which make you slip every time you go in or out the shower). We believe the main problem in this hotel is just lack of investment from IBIS because there is a lot of potential in it.

The location was good. Easy to walk to centre and shops, restaurants etc. Clean and simple rooms. Nice bar with outdoor area. We didn’t take breakfast so can’t comment. Parking is next to hotel. Quite expensive but that’s standard for city stays (0.90 per hour, pay on exit)

There was nothing to dislike. But would like a kettle in the room so you can bring your own tea/coffee 😊

Simple, comfortable and functional. Everything that Ibis promises to deliver.

Not very organized during breakfast time, from the lack of cutlery to the lack of food. The hotel should pay attention to how many guests it has on each day, in order to have the necessary employees. Room temperature was not adjustable and sometimes it got really hot inside.
