Hôtel Burdigala by Inwood Hotels

Location is very good, central. Reception team, the guy at the breakfast are very nice and helpful. Also rooms were cleaned very well. Parking is possible on site.breakfast can be taken at the bar or on the room.

Breakfast at hotel is not really giving a lot of options. Car parking is not easy to use: limit to 170m, no many lots and expensive. During our stay the best parking lot was blocked by hotel car and it was parked on two spots. Also you need to go to reception to get in to the parking as card doesn’t work. Elevator is making some noises and looks very old.

Room was fine but the toilet was very small

The breakfast was very bad value. I cannot believe you can not serve breakfast to your table rather than having it al wrapped up . We went to one cafe in the centre very near the information centre and were treated to freshly cooked scrambled egg, three pastries, toasted baguette jam butter and tea/ coffee for 15e. We were also woken up at 8.30am on our first morning. Not a bad hour but it only lasted for about 30 minutes and then it stopped and was not heard again during the morning.why did they not program it for a little later

The hotel is modern, well designed, clean, and convenient. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued. We were treated as if personal friends.

The only issue was the firmness (hardness) of our mattress. Otherwise the room was comfortable.

Nicely welcomed, we arrived a little late and everything felt easy. The parking on the site is a bonus. We were able to get room service also. We traveled with our dog - also warmly welcomed ;) The room was nicer than on the picture. The location was perfect, many restaurants and cafes around. We walked everywhere in Bordeaux.

A very nice stay really. Some constructions around the corner so a bit of noise in the afternoon but we were mainly outside anyway. The bed was comfy although the sheet and pillows could be softer.

Modern, clean and friendly

Shelf needed for toiletries in the shower as shampoo etc bottles kept falling off. No car charging facilities. Room looked into conservatory so felt couldn’t open curtains.

The size of the room and duplex configuration were perfect for us, travelling with our 5 year old. The location is perfect, it is also very quiet and we slept very well! The breakfast was really good and the staff very helpful and lovely.

The room needs to be renovated, loads of marks on the walls and the carpet is a bit old-they seem to do some carpet change in the corridor and some other rooms, not the one we had yet.

Staff friendly. Good location, also accommodated underground parking. Rooms were a nice size

WiFi didn't work, for some odd reason our network carriers only has a couple of bars so would have been nice if the WiFi worked. Also breakfast could be till a later time as many that stay there are on holiday and won't be getting up that early.

We loved everything about this place: location, service and quality of bed and rooms. Staff were absolutely amazing. Thank you. Smallest critique is if the air con could be stronger but we loved this place. Will definitely come back again.

Its location is great, near the centre; we could walk from the hotel for sight seeing and diners etc. The hotelroom was beautiful, spacy, authentic. It is also very quite. The personnel is very kind and helpful, also e.g in helping to park your car. In summary: we had a great stay! Inge

I have reviewed my original review as I think it was unfair to the hotel. I took a decision to travel with my partner as a Type 1 diabetic for my 50th birthday when we knew Covid was spiking in Bordeaux. IIn the cool light of day neither the hotel nor Bordeaux (which is a beautiful city) should be held responsible for bad behaviour by individuals that made me anxious and I also need to take responsibility for traveling when I knewthe risks. So what we loved: the location and the room - beautifully ‘boudoir’ with a great shower. Also the parking was the best we had on a trip that took in Versailles, St Emilion, San Sebastián and Bilbao. The staff were also very helpful.

As I said in my original n review, a business conference group nor socially distancing and individuals not wearing masks in lifts made me uncomfortable as someone with an underlying medical condition. But it is not fair to blame the hotel (or indeed all of Bordeaux) for this A plea to individuals reading this to think how your behaviour may affect others. The hotel staff were diligent in their own mask wearing and social distancing and they cannot be expected to police other people’s behaviour.
