Hôtel Calavita Rooftop & Spa

We have enjoyed everything except for the noise. Very clean, very comfortable, great service, the rooftop is an oasis - the pool, the bar, the restaurant, the atmosphere. The food suuuuper tasty, the cocktails great, the personnel.

Even though the hotel is well located being close to the city center by car, the biggest minus is represented by the traffic of the road passing right in front of the hotel. You can’t sleep during the night with the door open, you feel in the middle of the highway. If you have no problem with the noise or sleeping with the air conditioning on, it’s fine.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room and amenities were as described. The room was clean, with a balcony and good view of the sea. There was coffee and 2 bottles of water as a welcome. They also offered complimentary tea in the afternoon. The jacuzzi and swimming pool were functioning and easily accessible. We had an early morning checkout, the reception booked and coordinated with the taxi company in a reliable way. The restaurant upstairs also had a good selection of food and cocktails. There was also a beautiful beach nearby with a pleasant restaurant. Overall enjoyable stay and we would certainly recommend.

The location can be a bit problematic without a car as the public transport to the centre has a frequency of every 30 mins till around 19:30. We had a room on the first floor and the sound insulation wasn't that great. There was a loose manhole cover on the street and you can hear it whenever a car drives over it. That was a bit irritating early in the morning.

Great location, but definitely rent a car at the airport, because one way ride to the hotel will cost you not less than 70 euros. Lovely hotel, decent breakfast with all the basics (charged on top), clean rooms, balcony view is stunning. The hotel is quiet and safe, would definitely come back.

The reserved parking spots for the guests would have been so convenient. Other than that no complaints.

The rooftop bar and restaurant were lovely, the staff friendly and helpful. The pool was small but a welcome respite from the heat. The food was delicious and great cocktails.

The room was a little dark with a view of a hedge but to be honest we didn’t need to be in the room much and the rooftop was s as much nicer place to hang out

Roof top facilities were fantastic, food was good and the staff were very friendly always willing to accommodate.

The staff at this pretty hotel were exceptional, always friendly, helpful and thoughtful. They spoke very good English. Breakfast was a usual continental style buffet with the choice of eating in the air conditioned dining room or on the terrace at the front of the hotel overlooking the sea. We loved sitting by the rooftop pool on the sun loungers, the pool was small but warm with a shallow section, they had a lovely hot-tub which we used. The food served in the rooftop restaurant overlooking the sea was popular with locals and hotel guests, they had great variety and it was delicious. At the bar/lounge area it was easy to buy a cocktail and enjoy some tapas in lovely comfy chairs again overlooking the sea. On one evening the restaurant and bar was booked for a private party - which indicates it's popularity with the locals. The staff let us know that this was the case in the morning so that we could make alternative arrangements for that evening. We ended up in a lovely restaurant in the picturesque old port, which added to the high points of our stay.

It's very difficult to say what I didn't like. The hotel is a 30-40 minute walk from the city, this suited us, but others may find it a bit far. My bed, although comfy enough for a good nights sleep, was possibly not as comfortable as some I have slept in. A fairly busy road runs in front of the hotel separating it from the coastline but it is easy to cross. None of these minor issues detracted in any way over our 7 night stay.

the location of the peroperty is just amazing. amazing rooftop restaurant and the view from the room is very beautiful. little away from the city centre but also very peaceful compared to the busy streets at the city centre. this hotel is on the way to cap corse so if you have only one day and want to do cap corse during your stay in Bastia, the location is perfect! staff is also very helpful

Service was amazing. The staff was honestly great. The rooms were nice unfortunately 2 of our friends experienced funny smell in their bathroom. Staff managed to give them another room for our last night and we have all received nice breakfasts and glasses of bubbles. Thank you again 😊

This hotel has an amazing pool and rooftop bar/restaurant with very tasty cocktails and dinner menu. A good vibe throughout with excellent customer service from wait staff, front desk, and back of the house! Beatrice was exceptionally helpful with tourist advice and is a rockstar hospitality specialist! I extended my stay because I was enjoying myself so much here.

friendly staff and nice rooms with seeview (on request) Road in front does not bother so much. Rooftop and pool area is just fantastic. Food served is fresh, local and grilled on the spot. Don’t forget to order one if the cocktails.
