Noisy plumbing , towel rail heater non functioning, poor air conditioning and no instructions as to how to use it, stupidly expensive continental breakfast at E20 per head. I hated this business if taking E100 Euros as a deposit in case you as the guest damaged anything in the room . Sorry, not on!

Valence is our yearly stop on our way from Barcelona to Switzerland. We have stayed in several hotels, but this one checks all the boxes so we have stayed at Hotel de France for several years now. They are always pleasant and attentive and welcome our labrador retriever, so that's a big bonus. ... This year they had a change in management so, while a few bumps in communication at first, we left happy. Good to see the new management is keen to maintain the quality.

A very nice hotel in a good, convenient location. Staff was excellent and friendly. The hotel struck a good balance between a comfortable inn and a slightly corporate modern hotel. We prefer the former, but this hotel still suited us completely. Clean, modern, yet not bland or sterile. As a bonus, the hotel had a dedicated bicycle storage room for those traveling by bike (which we were).

Nothing major. The cost of breakfast seemed a bit high, so we got breakfast elsewhere.

Of course, we were expecting an excellent hotel and we were not disappointed. What make it so special was our room which had an odd shape and made it seem larger and the layout differed from the standard hotel lay-out. The room had a separate WC and bathroom. The bathroom was roomy and needless to say all was very clean. We enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend this hotel. Good location, friendly staff, all in order.

Room exceeded expectation. Design and style was excellent. Bathrooms very clean and with great facilities. Bed was large and comfortable Nice wine in the room Fantastic host on reception ... arrived very late after a lot of travel; restaurant was closed; however he still managed to get us a Pizza and some snacks which was hugely appreciated. Really nice stay, will book again whenever I am back.

Price of the half bottle of wine in the room was a little steep. However, that did not stop me drinking it; it was good quality and tasty.

The hotel is very central and convenient There is good locked parking behind the hotel (at a price) The room was larg and modern with plenty of sockets ( in the right place unusually!)

The public area is a little sparse. No comfortable chairs to relax. The bar is tended by the receptionist who obviously is not readily available.

The first thing that you notice, is the staff. Genuine Outstanding Service - with a smile. The young woman from reception came to the yard when we drove in, to show the best parking spot. First she asked what time we will be leaving. The reason was apparent when we looked from our room window to the yard - not a single additional car would have fitted in. But, with efficiency, everybody got a parking spot and everybody got out the following morning without hassle.

Everything was fine.

Location excellent; right in the centre with restaurants etc. just a short walk across the road. Parking is secure and on site; price OK.

Not cheap; breakfast priced at €20 too. Rooms are quite small, albeit very clean and comfortable.

This property was very clean and quiet. Beautiful part of the city too. Breakfast offering was very good.

Check in at 4 is a bit late . 3 would be better. However they did allow me to finally check in a little early as I arrived very early.

A luxurious room, dead quiet even though on a busy road due to double windows. Everything about this hotel is grand and it had secure bicycle storage. This is in a fantastic location and a must for cyclists.
