Sure Hotel by Best Western Annecy

It was very hot during our three day stay and it was wonderful to have efficient air conditioning to return to at the end of each day. It was exceptionally clean, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was super with lots of choice and all good quality. The Number 3 bus stops about 7 minutes walk away and we used that to get into Annecy every day, allowing us to leave the car in the free car park, in the shade of the hotel so it didn't get hot. All the buses are free in the summer so we took the bus into town and then the S4 up to Semnoz and walked up to the summit for the views. Staff were very helpful.

Room a bit small but it wasn't really a problem. Buses less reliable on Sundays so we had a longer wait, but hey we're on holiday, we had time to wait.

Wonderfully quiet, well laid out, equipped and compact room, excellent breakfast, and helpful staff. If arriving by car, there should be no problem. Access from town without your own car is the issue. Walking the three kilometers uphill and through complex and unmarked intersections is not practical. There is no public transportation. Taxis are not always available at the train station, and Uber is not always available either. Once there, staff can call a taxi for you, and they come quickly. Price was excellent, but breakfast and any taxis have to be added in.

It’s a little out of town so in a really quiet area of Annecy away from the noise and traffic. The staff were SUPER helpful and friendly and very very accommodating! We had the apartment in the building and when we first arrived someone had clearly been sick in the apartment and the main room was cleaned but of course the smell was still there. we told the staff and of course understood that it happens… it’s a hotel but we asked for another room as it was too bad of a smell to sleep. They immediately gave us another room for two nights for free. This helped a lot and we were able to sleep well. After the first night, they came in and changed the whole bed, mattress and everything and the smell was getting better but kept the extra room for the second night too. Third night it eas gone and all good again. thanks so much!

Not so much what we didn’t like… it appears to be a cheap place to stay from the outside appearance but the rooms are done really well!!

The staff were the best thing about this hotel. From the moment we arrived they were so welcoming (which is what we needed after a long drive) and were helpful during the entire stay.

It was quite expensive for a location on the outskirts of the city, but then it was peak season and I booked late.

a fun reception area; excellent breakfast and dinner options (buffet); best of all the staff were superb. very helpful, especially where I had made a mistake and not booked enough nights at the hotel. they provided the additional night (and it was during a busy time of year) with no fuss. I love it here.

only tiny complaint was the pillows are too soft. but this is minor.

Nice place to stay in and discover the beautiful city Annecy and Le lac .. heaven on earth. The lac is like a 20-min drive from the hotel.

No smart tv / netflix, so we kinda got bored trying to get sleep, the blue light of the tv is so strong during night, so make sure you hide it with something if you're sensitive to lights ..

Friendly hotel with a nice feel and amenities for its price range. The room was cosy. 2 pinball machines, video games and pool ! ( That’s billiards to the French ) I was helped ( with some tools ) by someone from the hotel to fix a minor car problem in the morning

The pass sanitaire and only one person running the whole bar and restaurant area made that entirely unattractive to me. I suggest that you put the menu outside so that people can read it before going in.

The hotel provided just what I needed for my traveling-through night--inexpensive, clean, easy-going, quiet, comfortable, close to the highway exit, friendly staff. Rather than serving a menu on that particular evening, there was a buffet, which (as a pescatarian), I much prefer. I enjoyed dining on the terrace. Breakfast was adequate and, most importantly, the coffee was not only drinkable, the coffee was GOOD!

There was nothing that did not suit me.

The location is good for those who travel in car .Public transport users the way to the hotel is not good .Google map shows a pathway which is not safe when it is dark.

Breakfast good. Location out of town and no commerce in vicinity. Though adjacent to a main road, traffic noise was not intrusive.

Outside sitting, relaxing area.
