Le Manoir Saint Thomas

Wonderful property that is a quick walk to everything in town, but set back like a little oasis. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions and were quick to respond to requests. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a classic decor in good condition. Parking is inside the property gate, which was nice for security and there is also decent sized free public lot right outside the entrance for convenience.

The bathroom had a large tub with a hand held sprayer and no shower curtain, so there is a tendency to get water sprayed around the bathroom. Not a big deal, but just unexpected.

Le Manoir Saint Thomas is a hidden precious gem of Amboise. It has a prime position to the centre of Amboise chateau, restaurants, shopping and the Loire river. The rooms are clean and have been beautifully and authentically restored, it has a secluded pool and garden and is serviced by the most wonderful of people who made our visit a memorable and delightful experience. Thank you. We will definitely be back.

There is nothing NOT to like about Le Manoir Saint Thomas.

The location was great - 5 minutes walking from the Castle. The Manoir itself is very beautiful and well maintained historic property. There is a beautiful common area with a fireplace and antique furniture. Makes you feel almost like travelling back in time. Our room (we stayed in a suite) was spacious, charming and very clean. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. The hotel provided bath robes which were very nice. There was also an abundance of toiletries - shower gels, conditioners, body creams, shower caps. At the arrival we had a present waiting for us in the room - a very pretty bottle of local raspberry liquor which we really enjoyed. This was a very nice touch! The hostesses were extremely helpful and nice. We got a recommendation for a restaurant and the hostess reserved it for us as well. The restaurant was excellent.

A lovely old property with some lovely up to date touches, and in a great location with parking on site. Nice pool and lovely gardens. Very helpful staff. Best recommendation for dinner for us was La Terasse.

Very little. Breakfast perhaps a euro or two overpriced, but there aren’t many alternatives available in town.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location for visiting the Loire region. Lovely pool area.Free off road parking was a bonus.Air conditioning was great . Large spacious room and modern bathroom.

Storage in room we stayed was a bit too dated for our taste and hanging a dress was not possible.

Quiet, comfortable, lovely gardens to enjoy. The staff were lovely. Fabulous location to walk and enjoy the city. On site parking was great.

The only issue was on Sunday evening when we had to help a family who had no toilet paper in their room. Luckily my husband saw them in the corridor and we were able to help.

Lovely breakfast offering, extremely helpful staff (Charlotte especially, who helped us find trains and a taxi to CDG airport), good location for walking in town. Room was very nice with comfortable bed and great pillows. I would only suggest a more private window covering in the bathroom as it was sheer and there was a somewhat busy road with a parking lot outside the window.

Great location close to the castle and all the restaurants . There is a school right across the street, so you can hear some children chat noise starting at 8am, but windows are well insulated/soundproofed. Staff was very friendly and accommodating . We did not used breakfast option, as we preferred to go to local bakery (just 3 blocks away). Overall very good value for this hotel

This is a nitpicking , but if we were checked in with 3 people I wish they would have 3 sets of coffee/tea cups and instantant coffee packets (not decaf).

The place was just as advertised! Beautiful Manoir with very big rooms and bathroom (for France). Parking was easy as was getting anywhere in town. Staff was super helpful. The place is really pretty.

We had some wi-fi issues but wasn't really a concern. Breakfast looked good but a tad expensive when you can go to a bakery for cheaper. But the dining room looked cosy.

This is a grand old house with delightful rooms. We only stayed one night as a stopover so cannot comment on many of the facilities, but it was very clean, we were warmly welcomed and our room was huge and very dramatic. The Manoir is in a perfect position close the centre of town, which has a good selection of cafes and restaurants, and also some lovely shops.
