ibis Abbeville

Quite a large room on the ground floor that was good for us as we had a lot of luggage. Clean, a very large comfortable bed with excellent crisp, clean bedding. Check in was quick and efficient and parking was right outside reception. The room had been cleaned to a high standard and the bathroom was spotless. What made our stay was the excellent on site restaurant, the food was exceptional, a good choice at reasonable prices and the hardworking waitress couldn’t have been nicer. We were sceptical about this on arrival as restaurants at the Ibis in the UK can be poor but this exceeded our expectations, breakfast was good too and great coffee!

The bathroom was a bit small although the shower was big and it’s a car journey into Abbeville but otherwise it suited our purpose fine.

Excellent stopover location. Room comfortable and clean. Great capsule bathroom with a good hot shower. Staff where all friendly and helpful. We took half board option and were very pleased with both the evening meal (3 courses) and the lovely buffet breakfast. Drinks were also not overly expensive. Also a nice little bar area to have a coffee or drink. You can walk from the hotel to a supermarket and shopping centre should you want anything else Plenty of free parking.

Needs better signage to approach hotel ( tucked behind a hospital) and for knowing which way to drive when leaving.

The room was comfortable, and cool (outside was 30C), and had all we needed for a one-night stay. It was very quiet (considering there was a function in the restaurant and quite a few other guests. The staff were super, and speak good English when needed. Impressive. We are vegetarians, there were 3 options for the evening meal, and we were well catered for. The hotel is handy to approach from the A16 and it is quick to get onto the Calais road the next day. Happy to recommend this hotel.

Nothing to dislike.

good stop over for the trip back to "Brexit land" . there is a nice quick service restaurant over the road , were we ate there twice! did not eat at hotel. ok for buying your beer and wine next door, to take home to your "backwood hovel"

bottled beer well over priced at 5e. no 1664 lager on tap. bit of a walk into town. one thing, they mess about with the payments, they took one payment at the start, and one payment at the end (we stayed 2 nights) then they take the best payment/rate for them. and doesn't clear on your card for a week, which of the 2 payments they will use

We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past ,it suits us as a break in our journey. The town is pleasant with good facilities. The breakfast selection is good.

I was not pleased at being charged for bottled water which was NOT requested, a simple jug of tapwater would have sufficed as was served to the French customers, On closer examination of the bill sometime later we also discovered that we had been charged at a much higher price for two glasses of Ricard than the price shown on the price list and indeed both glasses were charged at different price for an identical product. Perhaps some staff training in how to keep your regular customers happy and not try to be clever might be in order. The amount of money involved was small amd of no consequence but it makes me aprehensive about booking this hotel again.

Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was adequate and welcoming. The staff are super. Easy to find off the péage and to get back on the next day. Filling station just down the road, also useful.

Slight hiccup with booking.com, I had only named myself as the occupier, not two of us, so had a smaller room. But that's the booking site and me, not the hotel. Quiet after 10.30, but why do guests feel the need to shout in corridors? It's beyond me.

Breakfast was good value with a good range..maybe benefit from a larger selection of cereal . Evening menue was OK.

Toilet seat was broken.People had multiple dogs in small dining area....one couple had two big dogs that were lying right across the area where we and our family were going to sit for breakfast...we had to ask them to move them which they did with reluctance...everytime one of our party got up we had to step over these dogs and another dog was barking at everyone.We like dogs,but esp.when the hotel is busy do not think it is appropriate for them to be in the dining areas

No air conditioning Ventilation in Shower pod not working so room was very steamy. Staff at breakfast cleared away the food straight after 10am, even though we were still in the middle of our breakfast, which had not happened at any of the previous Ibis hotels we had stayed along our journey.

We've stayed at Ibis hotels before and we always have a comfortable night. The room is always small but you can't really mind as it's good value. The breakfast was very nice and the meal in the restaurant was lovely. All the staff were friendly.

We were in a room at the back and throughout the night there was banging, we couldn't see where it was coming from and couldn't close the window because it was hot in the room.

Nice hotel, good position and quiet. Staff helpful and spoke good English. Room comfortable, nice size and very clean.

Have been a few times ( not in the summer months) but the actual hotel and the rooms are never warm. Have been before and heating not working in the room. It was on in the room (just!) When we got there late afternoon. But went off, turning the thermostat up made no difference. Shame as otherwise a really nice hotel.
