Hotel Ibis Budget Abbeville

Well set up, clean, functional, good lighting for room, beds and desk, we had everything we needed, good parking, easy entry any time with machine and code. Great breakfast, with croissants, brioche, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, yoghurt, fruit salad, jam, tea, coffee machine etc - even though booking.com doesn't believe breakfast is offered here! Breakfast ends at 9.30 and costs around 9euro/person. We find Ibis a reliable basic hotel, minimal and efficient and reliably good. They're also dog friendly (no dogs in restaurant). We had a nice view over fields and wind turbines. Staff were all happy and friendly.

The bunk bed wasn't made up (I can see why - it's a pain to do!!) and the rooms are as small as is functionally possible. .

A small, clean room for a quick overnight stop en-route back to the UK. Staff at the hotel friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. Plenty of parking and only a couple of minutes to the A16.

Lack of ventilation in the room. It was a really hot day/night and there was no fresh or cool air in the room. Opening the window only let in lots of bugs. There also appeared to be a waterproof or latex mattress protector on the bed, which didn't help with the high temperatures. A barking dog in the adjacent room was also not conducive to a good night's sleep either. Personally I would not return.

Great hotel considering we booked it by mistake thinking it was the non-budget Ibis which we usually stay in! The room was small but clean with a very comfy bed. It was an extremely quiet location. The breakfast was nice, lacked some of the variety of a normal Ibis and no toaster sadly but was good value for the price. The parking was also very secure.

They could do with some larger bowls for breakfast. The ones provided for cereal and fruit were absolutely tiny, the size of ramekins!

Brilliant breakfast...great choice and excellent value for money. lovely clean room. Once located the hotel was nice and peaceful no traffic noise. Good that 3 or 4 restaurants nearby for evening meal. In reach of A road to continue journey back to Calais

Found it difficult to.locate hotel..even following their directions. In the middle of a deserted industrial estate ! Only issue with room was light had a plastic case that made clicking noise as it cooled down..annoying when trying to sleep.

Room was usual budget standard - clean, comfortable bed and pillows, quiet area. If I was a female travelling alone, I don't think I would have liked the location as it was on what seemed like an industrial estate. I should have looked at the location more so maybe my fault. It was to far to walk into town for a friend with mobiity problems. But all in all, it served it's purpose as a stop off point.

Location - but that was my fault for not looking better.

Perfect overnight stay, the room was perfect for what we wanted and clean and comfortable and most importantly dog friendly. We were not sure with us having a dog though why the room was on the 1st floor and not the ground floor as it made it a bit more difficult taking the dog out for her business, but won't knock the place down for that as it did look quite busy. We didn't have breakfast as wanted to be on our way to our next destination so cannot comment on that. The receptionist the next morning was really lovely.

The location wasn't brilliant and our SatNav found the other Ibis hotel easily but couldn't find this one and we were confused with two being in such close location to each other. Google Maps found it eventually but it was quite difficult and when you have been on the road for 14 hours and it is by then 1.45am it wasn't brilliant as all we wanted to do was lay our heads down and sleep.

Of course, this is a budget hotel, located out-of-town in an industrial estate. But for the price paid, we got 2 very clean rooms next to each other, and very friendly staff in the morning. The rooms have well thought-out design, presumably like other hotels in this chain. We also had an amazing breakfast (extra charge). And it is very conveniently located on the way south.

This hotel has a perfect location, just off the A16 and about an hour from Calais so a great spot to break your journey before an early ferry or tunnel crossing. Good sized rooms with windows that actually open, comfy beds, nice linen, spotlessly clean and great on-site parking. Ok breakfast too. Helpful receptionist pointed us in the right direction for a supermarket fuel station about a quarter of a mile away. Location is on a trading estate but within a very easy stroll are a range of restaurants.

Immaculately clean. Rooms sound proofed. Lift made an awful whiney noise and we were opposite, but the second the door shut you couldn't hear it at all. Didn't do breakfast but facilities were tidy. 3 vending machines. Easy to self check in and staffed for check out to pay City tax. Rooms were small but big enough for a night.

Asked for a room for 2 adults and 1 two year old, given a room with a double bed and a bunk bed for over 6's... Fortunately we had bought an airbed for her. No furniture if you wanted to stay more than a night i.e. No drawers

The hotel was great for overnight stay. Staff were super helpful. Parking was secure and good. Restaurants close by. We would certainly stay here again as an ovenight on our way to Eurotunnel. Breakfast was really good for the price paid. Very quiet location near to motorway.
