Scandic Julia

Location was excellent, right in the center. Rooms still quiet and comfortable, even on a busy summer Saturday night. Lovely view of the cathedral from our room. Big, tasty breakfast.

Room was quite tight for family (with sofa bed opened up as bed) and size of bathroom. Wanted to do ironing, not easy with sockets being between beds and on desk with limited access due to sofa bed being open. Bed comfortable but pillows not, had to use decorative cushions instead to not have stiff neck next morning.

The location of Hotel Julia is great, near to the shopping area and restaurants by the river. The hotel is excellent for a short break, the rooms are of good size and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast is fabulous.

We visited in June, mid-week. Many of the other guest were on holiday like us. It would been better with extended serving hours at breakfast.

Great central location, smiling and very helpful staff, spacious and clean room, wonderful breakfast with various options for everyone. The river with options for nice walk is nearby, as well as the central square and various cafes and restaurants.

Nothing, everything was great.

- Possibility to use bikes for free - The location of the room in the hotel (e.g., you could see the Cathedral, Aurajoki river, the hill on the other side of the river) - The location of the hotel in the city (close to all main sites, e.g., the Cathedral, riverside, main square) - Good breakfast - The fact that hotel's elevator goes straight to the LIDL shop

- No variety for pillows (e.g., too big and hard) - Mattress felt like it is falling from the bed constantly - The room was not cleaned once (nor was too clean overall)

The hotel is right at the heart of Turku, in a quiet corner, but close to services and facilities. The rooms were large and comfy.

Staff at the reception were stressed and unfortunately it spoiled our experience a little. The "service tone" was not always friendly. This did not only apply to us but I heard it happened with other guests too.

Friendly staff, excellent location, good breakfast selection. Overall quite good value for money considering Finland's price level.

Long queue to the reception at arrival. Rather crowded breakfast where it was first difficult to get table, and they ran out of e.g. youghurt and milk quite early. Our room was quite tiny for 4 people but we knew that. Otherwise it was all good and fit for our short holiday in Turku.

Wonderful breakfast buffet! Great children option at the in-house restaurant for dinner. Friendly staff. Access to the parking (extra cost) with the lift in the same building. Central location in town, everything at walking distance.

Missing information about how to get to the parking, and a bit tight to drive in and about.

The breakfast was excellent, the location was quite a walk from the Ferry Terminal but there is a train service that meets the ferry but it is around 20min from the station. It is within an easy walk of the main buss routes The staff we dealt with were very polite and professional and helpful

The reception staff was very, very helpful! We really appreciated how much they assisted us! The breakfast was excellent.

The location is perfect, staff was very nice and welcoming, breakfast was superb. The rooms were comfy and clean.

The room amenities were a bit lacking. It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room.
