Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort

Tropical architecture picturesque resort. Snorkeling was complimentary and very fun. Staff always greet you with a smile and "Bula" (especially the guys at the front gate, each and every time, without fail)! Butler service was amazing, thank you Pojie! Friendly Buggy porters to transport you to wherever on the resort - thank you John (for your stories too!) And Nilesh for enjoyable buggy rides!. Kids club was fun for the children - thank you Maria and staff! Food at Ivi (Mix grill platter) and Sundowner (prime ribs and grilled river prawns) had exceptional flavour

There was an extra $150AUD charged on our credit card when we booked for accommodation - upon asking both the resort and booking.com, no one was able account for the difference. Pricey, it's a five star resort so expect to pay 5-star resort prices.

The facilities were fantastic. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Pool and beach access fantastic. We travelled with 3 teenage boys who used the gym every day. The food and restaurant options were really great.

Fiji is an expensive holiday. Whilst we were prepared for this, as we had done the research it is still a shock. Make sure you keep track of food and drink purchases as it adds up very quickly. The food and drink will easily be more than the accommodation cost.

We really enjoyed our stay at the outrigger. The staff was very friendly and the room was beyond comfortable. The food was great. We took the local bus to town for only $2 to do some shopping and to have a look around.

We found the food somewhat over priced. The beach was also not as nice as we had hoped with it not being a great swimming spot

pool was the best I’ve ever seen for adults and kids and good sun and shade spots. love how you can walk from pool to beach easily and water sports such as kayaking , paddle boarding and snorkeling all included. water sports stuff always doing fun activities and games for the kids to make it fun with competitions. kids club is amazing and great choice of dinner restaurants and food options. adults only pool and swim up bar is brand new and awesome idea. very hard to beat this resort

as the resort is a few years old, some minor touch ups in the main buffet area could be slightly renovated and fixed up to bring it back to its former glory

Firstly we are so appreciative that we actually got to come to Fiji. I have found at home a lot of people use covid as an excuse for giving poor service - not the outrigger! Our flight arrived later than scheduled, considering we were on one of the first flights over that was expected and not a worry, I was however concerned as we had our hotel transfer booked. The delay didn’t faze him he greeted us with a friendly Bula! A cold towel and some water. About an hour later we arrived at the outrigger, again the delay didn’t seem to bother the reception team. We were greeted with a big friendly Bula! A welcome drink and some cool towels. Check in was simple and easy. We were then taken to our Bure - I believe it was a plantation Bure. I loved it! When I go on holidays I want something different but still comfortable. Staying in a Bure was awesome and so much better than a hotel room, it even has a cute little hammock out the front. We were in Bure 427. We went to breakfast every morning. On the first morning the resort manager came around and had a chat to us which I thought was lovely. There was also a gentleman who was working breakfast every morning - I feel he may have been the breakfast manager. I didn’t get his name as I could t see a name tag but he did have ‘pastry chef’ on his shirt- I hope if outrigger reads this they know who I mean. He was awesome. We also had the Buttler service with our room. Solate was kind, helpful and genuine. She would bring us canapés and a night cap every day which made us feel super special. At dinner Jonacion would always help us (I have probably spelt that wrong sorry) again he was so lovely, helpful and kind. All the customers there received his great level of service. On site we played golf, tennis, paddle bording , basketball, coconut bowling and kayaking. This place is great for all - those who want to chill, those who like activities and those with or without families.

The resort in overall is great, spacious and more family friendly than others. The pool and restaurants are really good. It’s clean and the staff looks after the guests.

It’s more expensive than the Marriott and breakfast isn’t even included. Kids should eat for free, I had to pay for my 1yo and 4yo children who barely ate. Bathrooms in the rooms need to be renovated. The kids club need more toys, there was only a box of legos and some books.

Second time around for us. We got married there in 2017 We decided to take our kids this time around to revive our wedding and show them around. We always love staying at Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, it holds a special place in our hearts. The staff are incredible, so friendly. We felt we knew them and are genuinely caring. Such warm welcome!

Sadly, as return guests to this property, we couldn’t help but noticing the property in general looks a bit tired. Though they are doing renovations of their main buffet restaurant, rooms and the reception, which we were not advised prior the trip, there is still need to pay attention to small details that would make a huge difference in the way the property presents to its guests. As an example, fixing small details such is the lifts, the lift power outlet which is loose, the marketing department signs on the lifts, paint the bar, freshen up guest toilets in common areas. We didn’t take photos because Imre don’t want to destroy this amazing hotel reputation. Just give real and heartfelt feedback.

Great resort. Very nice staff and facilities. We had a beach front room that was beautiful

Limited food options. Very hard to just by casual food when you want to. Ie a sandwich. I just don’t want a hot meal or to “dine” 3 times a day. We had one of the most premium rooms at the resort but apart from the lovely afternoon butler visit I felt that we had no advantage or benefits compared to those that stayed in the cheapest rooms I.e only managed to get a poolside seat at the main pool once and only got a covered seat at the adult pool once. While you can’t “ reserve” a seat at the pool in reality they are taken early and then people swim all day leaving their items on the chairs while they swim. Other Outriggers have more rewards provided for those in the more expensive rooms

the rooms were very dated and haven’t been updated in at least 3 decades. it’s not a 5 star as per current rating, at best it’s a 3.5 stars. We paid $500 per night and expected better value for our money. The laundry facility only had 3 washing machines and 3 dryers and 2 were out of order.
