Casa Joaquin Boutique Hotel

Everything about the hotel itself was really thoughtfully designed. It was lovely, including a roof terrace! Our host (Francisco) was really helpful and friendly in a gentle polite way, suggesting places to visit, explaining how to get around easily (and cheaply)... The breakfasts were just right, a choice of fruits, yoghurts, cooked dish(es), drinks... The area was quiet but, like a lot of Quito, best not to wander around at night. It was a $4 taxi ride to the Old Town (lots of taxis) but also worth visiting some local places such as the covered market.

This is a truly amazing hotel in Quito - a truly amazing find. We loved this hotel! Our room was fabulous & very clean & comfortable. It truly was outstanding - our room was a full apartment with a private patio. The staff were fabulous & had awesome recommendations and were very helpful. Breakfast was amazing with made to order eggs & French toast. The location is awesome being a 5 min walk from Plaza Foch and lots of great bars & restaurants. We for sure will stay here when we visit Quito in the future!

All the facilities in the room were in excellent condition, the room is large and fully equipped, the beds are very comfortable, everything is clean and tidy. A very tasty breakfast, in the atmosphere of a French cafe, pleasant , music in the background, excellent service from Francesco Including: additional breakfast when we arrived to early check-in in the morning, excellent recommendations and direction for a trip to the city and a restaurant, answers to every request and availability at any hour out of a sincere desire to help

Stronger wifi inside bedroom

We were met at the airport late at night by driver arranged by the hotel, and were met at the door by Francisco when we arrived. He has been available for the entire stay to provide advice and see that everything was going smoothly. The room is great, bed, bath and sitting area. High quality fixtures and decorating noted. The location is good but it is close to the entertainment district so there will be some expected revelry and activity noted in the evening, but it was not a problem. I would stay here again

Francisco the manager is very obliging and helpful, a great asset for the hotel. our room was spacious and comfortable. we enjoyed the breakfasts and bar facilities. the hotel is not far from major shopping precinct and botanic gardens. getting laundry done was simple, very quick and cheap

the hotel does not have an elevator. the nearby streets are somewhat worrying as most of the shops are permanantly closed and it is a bit run down. Our room had a small kitchen which would benefit from having some more kitchen items.

We had a lovely time at Casa Joaquin! The hotel is in a beautiful building, the rooms are comfortable and very clean, and the location is great - there are tons of restaurants and bar around, the artisanal market is a short walk away, and you can get to the centro historico in less than an hour walking or with a quick (and cheap) taxi ride. The breakfast was always delicious - fresh fruit, juice, and coffee, yogurt, eggs, and a variety of tasty little treats, from pastries to little corn tamales to chicken empanadas. Finally, Francisco, the manager, went above and beyond in making sure that we enjoyed our stay!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Francisco was an absolute dream. I arrived in the middle of the night from the airport (1am) and Francisco was sure to make sure I was settled when I arrived, despite being extremely exhausted. He gave really great tips on places to go and see which was super useful and was super attentive with breakfast. Had a great stay and glad it was the first place I stayed at for my trip.

I am sensitive to cold so felt it was a bit chilly but I imagine for the majority that's a good temp. There is also a main road nearby, which is pretty quiet throughout the night but not if you want a lie in!

My friend and I stayed at Casa Joaquin Boutique Hotel in May 2022 as we traveled around Ecuador. We loved everything about this hotel and it made our time in Quito especially memorable. Francisco was incredibly welcoming and runs a wonderful hotel. Everything was perfect from our beautiful room to the excellent breakfast. He was happy to help in anyway we needed including arranging a nurse to come take a pre-departure covid test for us. The location of the hotel was also fantastic with walking distance to restaurants, a SuperMaxi grocery store, and the Mercado Artesanal La Mariscal. We were able to Uber around the city easily to reach anywhere else we wanted to go.

Excellent property. I stayed in spacious & comfortable room 26. Bathroom facilities fully functional with great pressure shower & hot water. Francisco who assists in the property management is a great source of information. he’s quite charming & tranquilo. Breakfast is a plus. Very safe. The property caters to your needs. I would stay here again without hesitation. it felt like home.

Fantastic boutique hotel, beautiful ambience, excellent location, large rooms with comfortable beds and sofa; excellent and healthy breakfast; however, the friendliness and competence, efficiency, helpfulness and courtesy of staff surpassed this all. Francisco was consistently extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this hotel to anybody without any reservation at all. And I will certainly chose this hotel during my next stay in Quito
