Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa - Adults Only

The resort property was wonderful. The hot tub on the balcony was a great amenity and the ocean view from our room was fantastic! The beach was nice and having Xhale Club perks was definitely appreciated. The Xhale beach was nice and quiet and not as crowded as the rest of the resort beach. Our butler was Gricelda (or Mrs. G) and she was great and took very good care of us. She would check in with us each day to make sure our needs were met. Mrs. G would even prepare our hot tub for us ahead of coming in from a day at the beach which was great as it would take a at least 30 minutes to fill the hot tub. The French restaurant Coquette had the best quality food so we visited there 2 out of 4 nights. The breakfast buffets at Spoon and the Strip Grill were really good as there was a large spread of options and the omelets were fantastic. Wink was a really neat place to hang out and drink while waiting to be seated at the restaurants. We also really enjoyed the White Beach Party and the Mardi Gras party at the Freestyle pool. Overall we had a great experience as it provided a good combination of relaxation and party atmosphere. We would definitely recommend Breathless to anyone looking for an adults only beach vacation.

Check-in took too long. When we arrived at the resort we were ready to get to the beach and check things out right away but instead we had to wait a while before someone took care of our check-in. The lighting in the bathroom could have been much brighter to help with getting ready for the evening festivities. The beach area was very rocky which really hurt on your feet. We had to be very careful when entering the water to avoid gashing our feet on the rocks. I would consider these things to be pretty minor in the grand scheme of things as the resort overall was fantastic.

The staff the staff the staff!!! Did I say the staff?? They took such good care of us. Our butler/concierge Jose Evans was absolutely mazing. He booked all of our dinner reservations and gave us a daily itenerary of activities. He would also personally come check on us daily in person. He booked us a special day for each of our bdays. Andrea Yene and Juan Rosario our beach attendants spoiled my cousin & I so much we felt like queens.Their service and hospitality was top tier. 👌🏾🎉🍾🎂 Our birthday trip was over the top because of them all. We will definitely be back and requesting all three of your staff members because they were just that on point! The food & the drinks 👌🏾😋🍽 The room and resort were out of this world. We had the Jr Allure Swim up suite. The private beach was beautful! So happy I booked this resort it was my best travel experience hands down.

TV the bathroom shower was flooded did not get fixed during my stay

I booked this property to celebrate my 30th birthday and it was nothing short of amazing. My host Gricelda was amazing, she went over and beyond to make my Birthday special. I’d definitely come back for vacation. The entire staff was nice and helpful.

The food wasn’t that great, but overall a great experience.

Clean rooms, nice property, and the staff were so helpful and friendly! Especially our Exhale Club Butler, Jose! He went out of his way to make sure we were having the best experience. Kelvin at the party pool bar always took good care of me at the pool bar, and I appreciated that he always remembered me and my drink order!

breathless is relatively inexpensive when it comes to all inclusive which was nice to save a little money for what you got in accommodations. We had heard from friends it has more of a party vibe and was fun which is why we chose this hotel. Lots of pools and restaurants to choose from and the staff was amazing. Especially Jose from xhale lounge. Jose was our concierge and took care of all our needs the entire stay which made the trip very effortless. We would recommend Breathless to our friends.

Only complaints we had was there was alooooot of 18/19 year olds and legal drinking age is 18. So a lot of nights it felt like you were at prom. We also are very into music and the DJ’s must play from the SAME music playlist. After TWO days of our stay the DJ was playing the SAME exact songs at the party pool and night club everyday which left us feeling very dissatisfied. We stayed 8 days so we were extremely frustrated by our THIRD day of hearing the same music TWICE a day. We came for a party vibe but hearing the exact same songs for 8 days sometimes in the exact same order left us feeling disappointed.

Since the entrance, the personnel were very helpful and willing to make the stay pleasant. We had a personal concierge that maintained the conversation with us to ensure we were having a good time. The restaurants and food were amazing, great taste and service. The pool was clean and very well maintained. There were many pools, one of them was the party pool and the rest were the peaceful pools. The beach was wonderful as well. The location of our bedrooms were centric. We had everything close, only some footsteps away.

Being a new years weekend, we had other expectations from the service they would provide. They omitted that the new years night show had to be booked with an additional cost ( which by the time we got to the hotel, was overbooked). It was very unpleasanr to find out we didn't have a place to see the show. The dj put very little dominican/tropical music during our stay, all we heard was american music. There is lack of pool activities and the show we saw on both nights were very similar. A suggestion is that they should also present shows revolving the caribbean culture and dances.

I enjoy the energy and liveliness of a party during the day and night. The food was good, the resturant access was good at night, the room was comfortable, and the bed was comfortable. Also enjoy the ability to eat at the resturants and use the Waterpark at Onyx the sister resort. I would like to also special mention our hostess Gricelda. She arranged a very special romantic presentation one evening in our room and communicated daily with helpful information to maximize our experience. Special thanks to her help!!!

There should be more Umbrellas and chairs around the party pool. There should be a towel station in the party pool area. Also, it appears that the DJ's are not allowed to play really good party songs and get things really going. Too MUCH local slower dominican music played by the DJ when the guest are global. The music should be more about the guest and not what the local DJ likes at a bodega!!!

Jose was an awesome host !!!! BEST BY FAR !!! everything we needed he was there always checked on us and kept us informed about everything that was going at resort which made our stay even more eventful I would definitely recommend the resort and JOSE for your visit:)

The customer service was top tier.

The room was extremely humid which caused our clotges to feel wet & our flooring very slippery.
