Barceló Brno Palace

Barcelo is situated in a historic building with a truly beautiful lobby. It offers very good breakfast, huge comfy beds and basically all you can ask for when staying in Brno. The staff is very friendly and helpful and due to the location right in the city center this hotel is a great starting point for exploring the city.

Our stay was great, but there is still a couple things to improve. Even though we did an online check-in, we still had to show up at the reception and it took quite some time to process the check-in (don't see the benefit on an online check-in there). The doors of the room are not noise cancelling, so you can hear everything from the hall. The cleaning crew automatically changed all of our towels every day, which honestly seems like a waste. I would suggest to change the towels only upon request (e.g. when placed on the bathroom floor).

location is perfect,right in the centre short walk from train station and easy access to trams, lovely big rooms with seating are,huge bathroom with nice towels and toiletries.Air conditioning was great and nice big TV with some English news channels . Breakfasts were quite superb in both choice and quality. Staff that we interacted with were all very pleasant and efficient.

my room was right beside a tram stop and it was a bit noisy especially from about 5am.Though our group had all booked Deluxe rooms one of the rooms did not match up to the standard of the other rooms but staff did change the room for this one idividual.tea bags were not replaced after use ,i had my own so did not worry but it is the little things that matter.The hotel bar was closed quite early and when we did use it on our last night prices were increadibly expensive

Great location at the centre of Brno with a very short (1min?) walk away from the Cabbage Market. We stayed for only two nights - Friday and Saturday - but were very pleasantly surprised by the size of our room, the balcony we had (not all rooms have one), the quality of the breakfast and the general kindness of the staff. The hydro bath was also nice to have in our bathroom! Overall, the hotel is perfect for a short stay in Brno and has a lot to offer - Spa, Gym, Restaurant - that we did not have the opportunity to experience or use. Would definitely recommend!

Breakfast needs better organisation. Whilst it did affect us too much, it was clear that too many guests had arrived for breakfast on the Sunday that the breakfast area could handle. This led to a handful of people wandering around confused and meant that staff eventually had to set up an overspill area in the central lobby.

Great experience in the centre of Brno. The hotel itself is beautiful and decorated in a glamorous style reflecting the architecture of the building. The personnel was friendly, I enjoyed also the welcome drink at the reception. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of food and drinks.

As it is a 5 star hotel, I would have expected more fancy restaurant where breakfast is served. The space was just ordinary. The bathroom was quite small. The more modern materials and more modern features could be included to the rooms, as well. The room itself was comfy and spacious, this just as a reflection of 5-star experience.

Great building, buffet breakfast and valet parking expensive but worth it. They also make some effort to ensure there is always a space for a new car dropping luggage off outside the hotel (impossible to double park as road is narrow two lane).

Busy staff on arrival treating the arrival more as an inconvenience than their basic job. I disliked the location of the room overlooking the tram and main road. The sound insulation is good but still a disturbance, I would recommend trying to change rooms / pre request a non tram side room - the hotel has room on four sides so three others to choose from, if a noisy room bothers you.

TWhere to start: pretty much everything is excellent: top-notch facilities, comfortable surroundings, exceptionally helpful and friendly staff at reception, good breakfast, umbrellas to use when it rained, staff printed things out for me. Excellent rate (it was from Friday to Monday and I assume that the hotel is mostly frequented by businesspeople, so as Brno doesn't seem to be too much of a tourist city, rates might be higher during the week than at the weekends).

The only thing I didn't like is the bed. It's two single beds next to each other. I prefer one double or twin bed instead.

Fabulous location, stunning building, amazing breakfast selection, friendly and helpful attentive staff. I stayed in room 515 in the eaves of the building. Really appreciated there not being carpet in the rooms - so much cleaner. I loved my room, but if you want a regular view then level 3 facing the cathedral would be a good choice. The hand sanitiser the hotel has for guests is the best I've ever used - so much so, we purchased some from them! The glass of bubbles on arrival is a sweet touch. Friendly and attentive service from the in-house bar. The lobby decor is stunning.

A couple of tiny requests. A small nespresso machine rather than instant coffee would elevate the comfort in the room, along with a better hairdryer than the wall attached one.

The location is perfect, everything is reachable by foot. I appreciate so much the conversation with the manager who tried to apologize for any shortcomings. I will give the hotel another chance when I come back to Brno.

A little bit chaos at the reception. The receptionists were not polite at Check in. We got a single room by mistake. It was said to us that until we come back to hotel in the evening the staff will move our luggage to double room.... but it was not done. So we had to find the previous room ourselves since nobody knew anything about that. It lasted more than half an hour to manage the whole situation. This is the last thing that you want to do when returning back late. The night receptionist Monika was extremely attentive. At Check out the receptionist did not make any excuse. For 5 stars hotel I expected more at the breakfast. Very soft mattress.

I made this reservation for my parents, and they had a fantastic stay at the Barcelo Brno Palace. They got a lovely room overlooking the park, which they went to for morning walks. They found the beds very comfortable, and the breakfast excellent. The location is just perfect, a short walking distance from almost everything you might need in addition to the major attractions in the center. It was excellent value for money, compared to what you would pay for comparable five star hotels in other European cities.

We arrived via train and it was a 10-15 min walk to the hotel. We were welcomed by a very nice, friendly lady at reception. Check-in was easy and quick. Our room was large and the bed was huge! We had a nice view. Room was warm over the winter, which was nice. Bathroom was big and the shower was great---we had hot water and the shower had great pressure. Towels were nice and soft. Check-out was easy with the front desk allowing us to keep our luggage while we finished touring the city. Breakfast had a large variety and lots of places to sit. We would stay here again!
