Jingshan Garden Hotel

One of the most beautiful hotel I ever stay, the Hutong style will bring you back to traditional Beijing history directly! Food was nicely prepared and great view towards JIngshan Park. Couldn't expect more! Ps don't miss a drink on the terrace on second floor with view over rooftops of old buildings, it's lovely!

You need walk like 10-15min to metro station, but it was sooooo fun, you will need walk inside of Hutong district, which is a full exposure of local culture and adventure too! Love it!

Courtyard with fruits trees…good ambience…. Extra comfy bed interestingly with pillow menu to choose type of pillows to sleep. feel secure with 24hrs concierge. staffs are super friendly and attentive. there fruit basket provided too. definitely will recommend to friends and if back to Beijing, will stay here too.

Located right next to Jingshan park and walking distance from the forbidden city. Very quiet, residential, gave me a flavour of local life! Very clean, nice hot water. The staff were nice enough to pack my breakfast when I had to leave very early one morning! Lulu was really helpful with booking visits. Wifi was super fast.

Breakfast was just ok though the breakfast room is beautiful! Please add a little more fruit, and a little less bread. That’s it!

I liked the location. I absolutely love the fact that it's located inside of a hutong. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were soft and comfortable and the room was amazing. Definitely recommend if you want a quiet, relaxing weekend away from the main city area.

They only had orange juice and not other juices for people with allergies. They need a check list for the American breakfast, they forgot some of the breakfast items when serving it.

The location is good, it was a great experience staying in a Hutong, it was peaceful and quiet. It is a very small hotel

The nearest subway station is 1km away, so it is not convenient, the breakfast was good but expensive,

This is a fantastic little hotel - a little hard to find in the hutong area but it was interesting to see the local area. The room was a good size with really comfy beds. The staff are helpful and speak English. Not cheap but worth it for comfort.

What a gorgeous oasis this hotel is, right in the heart of the Imperial City hutong! We arrived late but received a lovely warm welcome from Iris (she was also kind enough to direct the taxi driver as to the best way to the hotel). Our room was spacious, super clean, really well-appointed and with a very comfy (western-style) mattress. We received a nice fruit basket with handwritten note as a welcome gift. Plenty of free water, tea (Chinese) and coffee available. Small fridge in room. On waking after a quiet night, we found a fab view over the hotel's lovely little courtyard, and on exploration we found a small terrace which offered views over the hutong roofs across to Jingshan Park. The hotel's location is close to perfect, you're in the heart of a hutong, but a stone's throw from the gorgeous Jingshan Park, a 20minute walk from Forbidden City entrance and about 20mins to the lively Qianhai + Huahai Lakes. Hotel is about 40mins in a taxi from Beijing South station (late night with not much traffic). It's super easy to get around and about from the hotel on foot, but you can also easily pick a city bike up to rent as well. Super kind staff (thank you Iris!), really helpful + understanding manager Lu Lu, and delicious breakfasts!! A fab space to explore the heart of Beijing from.

Only 2 teenytiny observations: maybe some more toiletries over and above the usual shampoo + conditioner etc. like mini toothpaste, cotton wool, earbuds etc. just to give you a more luxurious feel perhaps? And breakfast service on our last day was by a young man who perhaps could do with a bit more guidance as to the most efficient way to serve :)

The location was perfect. The hutong was so quiet and it was easy to get share bikes for the four of us. We rode down to the Forbidden City - it was a lovely ride!

The beds were comfortable and it's environment is classic Chinese style. Hotel owner knows English and she is willing to help you.

It is quite noisy since the doors are wooden. Price is little bit high.

That it’s quiet and clean and close to everything downtown. We also loved how it highlights Chinese culture well. Staff were helpful. George helped us with check-in after midnight. Lu was responsive when we complained about noise. Food was great as well.

Hot water didn’t work enough to fill the bath tub (It ended up being always lukewarm). Plugs were hard to find and hard to use. Entering the hotel, one is immediately greeted by garbage. Perhaps this could be changed?
