Best Western Ville-Marie Hotel & Suites

Very nice part of town. Room was very clean and staff was very accommodating

The opaque glass bathroom doors did not provide enough privacy since the bathroom was located in the middle of our room directly facing our beds with nothing to cover the glass

The hotel was nice with helpful staff. The room was large and I would stay again. While not a part of the hotel, there is a coffee shop attached and it serves some of the best coffee I ever had. It is on a corner with buss stops on each corner and just a block away from the Peel Metro station. Mont Royal is also two blocks away so there is an escape from the city life style in walking distance. Overall a positive stay.

We stayed for 17 nights (a long stay) and a couple times we had to request toilet paper and bath soap. Also the room was not vacuumed regularly. There was a piece of thread left on the carpet (a test) and it was still there for three days. House keeping could do with paying a bit more attention to the room. Finally, the reception staff needs to be informed of company policy. I was told by one member of staff that I would get my reward points even though I did not book direct and the other member on duty at the same time said I would not, two conflicting statements at the same time. Turns out I will not get any rewards after getting my hopes up for a 17 night stay.

The location was perfect for what we had in mind for sightseeing. Old Montreal was a reasonable walk away, while the Biodome was an easy Uber ride. The bakery off the lobby was fine for small breakfast eaters. If we returned to Montreal, I would stay here again. Also, Peel Street takes you right up to Mount Royal (be ready for the 400 stairs! take a water bottle), however, the view from the top is worth the climb!

Our room's carpet was stained but the rest of the room was clean. Parking in a city is always challenging, however we knew ahead of time to park across the street (although the receptionist did not have any information so I was glad I read a few reviews online prior to arriving).

Beds were superb. Cleanliness excellent. Spacious room. Location was excellent for us. Parking seemed to be a problem; but, I never heard the story from My Daughter; she ended up parking on the Montreal streets.

The twist-to-lock bolt on the door in the Room 403 was NOT working / workable:- as a result it couls not be engaged. Only the chain lock was in place. Our security was a major concern; but, owing to the lateness of the day, we tolerated it ( , feeling that we were compromising security). This was a considerable detraction from the value / price of the accommodation. Of course, the expectation was simply that the door locks "work" !

The beds were very comfy and we were surprised about how close everything was to the hotel. The first thing my boyfriend and I noticed when we came into the room was that it smelled really good and fresh.

Also, when we came in, it was very cold and we could hear everything that was going on outside like cars, honks, firetrucks, etc and we were on the 10th floor. We later noticed it was because the window was opened which was weird because there was a sign mentioning the windows couldn't open for our safety. Everything else was great.

I booked a king deluxe room. Even thought the location of the room seriously in the corner, but the room was great and comfortable, neat and tidy. The only thing that bothers me was the window is too small for the room.

The hotel is very well located in the heart of Montreal, perfect to be in the center of the city and visit for a weekend. The rooms are spacious and modern, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is very well equipped (functional hair dryer, and all the toiletries are provided by the hotel). We also appreciated the armchairs in the room to rest, the coffee machine for the breakfast, the big television and the arrangements for the clothes, as well as big dressing room useful to arrange the winter coats.

Overall it is a very good solution to stay in Montreal. We only regret that the room was not done during the stay (especially the beds), and that the hotel did not change all the towels during the stay but only 2 sets of towels out of 4, and that they did not replace the toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, etc.) during the stay. Other than that, we are very satisfied with our stay!

Location was perfect for walking to dinner and the valet parking made leaving in the morning a breeze.

The hotel restaurant had strange hours and was almost never open during our stay.

Large room, comfortable beds, and decent bathroom. The room was well heated despite frigid temperatures outdoors. There is an excellent cafe attached to the hotel. It is well located in walking distance to everything downtown and right next to McGill.

The decor was a bit tired and gloomy throughout. Doors do nothing to muffle corridor noise.

The hotel is located right beside McGill University which made it perfect for exploring the campus. It is a 2 block walk to the main shopping strip and there were many restaurants located an easy walk from the hotel. Our room was large, clean and had a view of the mountain.

The only potential downfall of our stay was that noise carried a bit into our room which worried me for sleeping however it was during daytime hours and we did not experience it after dark so it did not affect our sleep in the end. It may have been people congregating in the hallways.
