Budget Host Crestview Inn

Very clean, small vending area with microwaves, broiler oven, instant coffee always, ice machine and small vending machine. Grill that can be used outside. Great staff, very clean. I would say refreshed , 70s strip hotel, 1 floor, park outside your door, built in a rectangle with a missing section where lawn, some parking and driveway are located. Would recommend the place. A little over $109 per night in top tourist season. Walking distance from downtown, probably 1/2 to 1 mile, return trip is uphill a little. Easy in and out easy to get to shopping, restaurants, bars, etc.

Great room. Super close to both the casino as well as downtown! Room was ready when we arrived. We were going to a concert at the casino that evening, Tony made sure we not only had a map but gave us the phone number for the Free casino shuttle! We woke the next morning to a few inches of snow and the staff was already out brushing the cars off! All in all a great place to stay. The details matter and we will definitely stay there again the next time we visit the Soo!

The Hosts husband and wife we're wonderful people very friendly the husband even gave me a map on where all the fishing spots were! The room was very clean, beds were very comfortable I was actually surprised on well kept this place was the owners have done a great job on the up keep, and it's very reasonably priced definitely will be the only place I get a room at when I'm in the area, thank you guys for the excellent experience! Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Hotel is pretty close to downtown and everything we wanted to see and do with restaurants and shops in every direction. Friendly staff and very clean. Liked that each room was independent with heat and air especially with the current worries about COVID. Rooms are small but comfortable for an older building. Will definitely stay here again.

Room was very stuffy when we got in, fresh cleaning and weather played a part in that but could have been aired out a bit. Pillows were very large and packed, even for a side sleeper a bit uncomfortable so bring your own if you are a picky sleeper. Shower filled up and didn’t drain while in use.

The owner was very nice. The room was huge, biggest motel room we have stayed in. Spotlessly clean and the beds were amazing. Serisouly better then my bed at home. Great location close to soo locks. We stayed just one night, wish it was longer. Nice to support a local business.

My family and I got to the motel very late, but, the check in was fast and the staff was very friendly. When we got into our room I was surprised how nice it was for a motel instead of a chain hotel. My family and I stayed in a double room. It was very spacious and very clean with lots of lighting. The beds were very soft and comfortable. There was even a charging deck for our cell phones. I was very weary about staying in a motel instead of a chain hotel, but, I would definitely try this place again when we are in the area. The only thing that may want to update is the bathroom counter top and cabinets you can tell it's dated, nothing wrong with it, no cracks, but it definitely would accent the room better..... Everything was great and this place definitely deserve a 😊 😊.

Very retro in an interesting, good way but Sault Ste Marie overpriced compared to other UP places that came with a lot more for less.

Bathroom had issues; toilet needed several flushes for everything to go down. Also weird that for as small as the area was, half was a big walk-in shower that had low water pressure and slow drainage with ankle deep water by finish. Also thought it odd guests are put in rooms on roadway side of facility rather than interior ones. Too cold for needing AC but running it full blast is what drowned out the traffic noise.

We ate breakfast with other family members at Penny's Kitchen. The rest of our group stayed in a different location. The rooms were exceptionally clean and sound proof. There was good follow-through prior to our arrival via email.

Bathroom space was a little cramped. However, it was very efficient for the given space and provided all that we needed.

The room was very spacious which was a nice surprise. Liked having a table with 4 chairs which allowed our family to play games in the evening. Extremely clean. Comfortable beds. Check in staff was super friendly. Great location to get to LSSU or downtown quickly.

No fan for the shower which made the whole room muggy after all of us showered.

The Budget Host Crestview is a great option for a budget motel. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom, if dated. There’s a grill outside and a mini kitchen with ice microwave and toaster. Free coffee etc though not the best. Loads of towels and soap and nice hot water pressure. These touches make it above average. Friendly staff too.

Road noise was evident, and lights in bathroom seem to go off with fan timer, leaving one in the dark.chairs on the sidewalk outside rooms encourage folks to smoke…
