The Country Inn Motel

Desk clerk was very friendly, courteous & efficient. Room & bathroom were clean, bed was comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was very adequate, everything was fresh, plentiful & very satisfying. Much appreciated & thank you!

Facade wasn’t appealing, could really do with a facelift, including new windows. Driveway was in disrepair, potholes. Garbage container at front entrance looked unsanitary. Front entrance and common room certainly didn’t give a desirable impression, the upholstery on the vintage chairs looked dirty & disgusting. Rooms, though clean, really need a makeover, floors need to be cleanable, colors dark & depressing, dresser & headboard very dark & showing much wear & tear. All in all, exterior & interior needs a refreshing cosmetic overhaul.

An excellent quiet, rural location near the lovely Rotary park, yet only a few minutes from the center of town. While the rooms are not large or luxurious, they contain everything needed. The staff is friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast included yoghurt, fresh fruit, white and brown bread and jams, three choices of cereals, tea, coffee, milk, two choices of juice, homemade muffins and pastries. Our party of six enjoyed being able to get together in the lounge and the breakfast room.

I chose this property over chain options because it was rated much higher by previous customers. They were right. The room was nice, clean and in terrific condition. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. Very quiet. Park right by the door.

There is no air conditioning in the room. It was fine for us but could be an issue if it was hot - which doesn't happen often in Gander. Not their fault, but GPS didn't take us to the right spot - two different systems didn't find it, even when I used the address.

The room was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The sitting area was like you were at home and can watch television. An ice machine is readily available for you. A very quiet area and great to sleep with. The motel has a continental breakfast available until 10am each morning. We enjoyed it.

Clean, comfortable, room with comfy bed and everything one needs: coffee, fridge, little table & two chairs. Friendly staff. We called ahead to warn of a late-night arrival and they arranged for us to get our keys quickly & easily.

Continental breakfast seemed like it had been decent, but the the baked goods had pretty much run out by the time we arrived toward the end of the serving period; wish they had been replenished so we could have had more than one tiny muffin each.

The owner / hostess are exceptional - welcoming, helpful and very friendly. A lovely eating room and cozy lounge. There was also an unexpected and fabulous walking trail around a nearby pond that the staff told us about - a perfect walk after a long drive Follerd by a good night’s sleep in a comfy bed.

Not a complaint but just a suggestion.We booked for a family of 3 but there was only 2 pillows and 2 sets of towels in our room. Just a thought if booking with more then 2 guests maybe an extra pillow and set of towels can be put in the room 😊

The second bonus question was answered in the last question of Question 1. It is a better question. The room was very quiet at night. The bathroom was very clean and it had a bathtub which I appreciated. The bed was very comfortable. I appreciated the breakfast.

The breakfast was as expected and perfect for starting our day. Location was easy to get to and our hosts were very helpful in suggesting restaurants for meals.

The rooms were clean and tidy but our bedroom was just a bit cramped for 2 adults. Still I would book this Inn again.

Friendly, access to the eating area for off-hours tea or snack.

Not great sound dampening in the rooms. Easy to hear music and voices from the common areas or hallway. Very minor thing relative to the overall comfort of the facility.
