The service was outstanding ! Anything we needed or asked for was done with speed and kindness. The front desk staff, cleaning professionals etc, were ALL friendly. The free breakfast was good, always a staff member present to clean up and refill food items. If you want to stay somewhere for the excellent service and cleanliness, this is absolutely the place to go ! This is a very well-run establishment.

The improvements would be a pool and workout room. I didn't miss it but but son and husband did. The parking lot needs attention and exterior of the building could use a bit more curb appeal. The free breakfast could also use a few more protein options.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable, although one was very squeaky. Great walk in shower. A continental breakfast was included - hard boiled eggs, cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, muffins.. The hotel is well situated for a short walk to the town center for dinner at night ( as the hotel restaurant was closed the night we stayed).

No elevator to the second floor, but it's one flight of stairs, so beware if you have mobility problems and/or a heavy suitcase. Not sure if the kitchens or another restaurant was close by, but there was a strong smell in our room of food cooking when we got there.

This was a quirky place as it's in the mountains that are popular for snow skiing, mountain biking or water sports and of course named the Grizz hotel but the decorating motif in close to 100% Chinese related. That being said, it was clean, they have many newer renovations and the beds & pillows were ultra comfy. The location was fantastic as we could walk to everything (and we did as my truck sat the entire stay).

Breakfast could not have been more basic and the hotel has no real amenities...no pool, no jacuzzi, no sauna. Our room was small with no dresser, no real closet and a tiny bathroom.

The location was central enough to walk out for meals etc. The room was spacious, clean and fresh smelling, quiet and comfortable. We had a first floor room facing Campbell Avenue and it was very quiet. We are not big breakfast eaters but it seemed they had a simple fare on offer and the breakfast dining room was full. The pub was a real local place, not a touristy fancy venue, but the barman was super nice, the famed chicken wings were really good and we enjoyed a bit of banter with a few locals at the bar. Times like these you just take off your tourist goggles and go with the flow and be surprised.

Externally it looks quite grim from the outside. Google maps directed us to the corner of Connaught Ave and 2 St W, the back end of the hotel where we didn't see any hotel name, just a big brown square ugly box of a building. Yikes we thought. But the hotel was nice inside, the rooms were spacious and comfy so it turned out to be one of our better stays as we drove from Vancouver to Calgary via Whistler, Kamloops, Revelstoke, Golden, Canmore.

This was one of the cleanliest accommodations that we have stayed - despite the age of the building. The hallways are bright, nicely furnished, nice & wide and spotless. The room (double queen) was super clean and very spacious, we used the small beverage fridge supplied, the AC was terrific and ultra quiet. The bathroom was updated with a spacious shower. Although the hotel is older, it has been remodeled. The location is a mere 2 block walk to terrific restaurants and businesses. Although we did not take advantage of the discount from the hotel restaurant, it was extremely busy including locals arriving to dine there. We slept in and missed the free breakfast. Overall - the value based on cleanliness and spacious, bright room was a bargain and had great value.

The lobby area is rather dated but there appeared to be a significant amount of renovations being carried out on the exterior and the rooms have been updated so I suspect that this entire property is undergoing a transformation. For anyone with mobility issues, a room at ground might be a necessity in event there is no elevator (not entirely certain).

It was in a good central location to everything in Revelstoke. The beds were pretty comfy and the shower had great water pressure. The staff was very friendly at check in and check out and the breakfast in the morning was a decent selection. It was handy having the restaurant downstairs and the discount for those staying at the hotel.

We had to find parking way down the street as the parking lot was full, and we felt the price was very high for that ranking of hotel (although all of Revelstoke was high when we checked). Did not feel the price reflected the standard of hotel but for the type of hotel, it was well kept and comfy.

Location was good. Close to the very interesting Railway Museum and Revelstoke Dam. Breakfast: the coffee, as was choice of breads and condiments for toast. The renovated bathroom was lovely. The upscale AC was quiet & excellent for the hot weather season. Beds/pillows were very comfortable.

Breakfast: the eggs were VERY hard boiled - overcooked; no yogurt; choice of muffins - at 9 am only blueberry muffin was available In this 2 floor facility, since there was no elevator, it would have been nice to have baggage carry service offered. In the morning I was able to as the cleaning staff to help/carry my friends heavy luggage down the stairs & I gave a generous tip that was very much appreciated by the young man.

A really good hotel. I would recommend a stay here. Going through some external refurbishment but it did not affect our stay. A friendly welcome with staff eager to help throughout our stay. A great location. Just minutes walk from the town. Great for me as I have walking difficulties. A decent size and comfortable room. The beds were also comfortable. A decent sized bathroom with all the toiletries we needed. If in Revelstoke again I would want to use the property

Lack of hanging space. Like many hotels they miss a trick. A few more hooks on the wall where there is space can solve this. Breakfast was basic and personally I prefer real crockery but welcome none the less as it saved some time going out to find breakfast elsewhere

the beds are so comfortable and bedding is great. really clean. great wings in the restaurant. I love it because of the close proximity to downtown and you can walk everywhere

main floor is loud if there are people staying above you but they warn you ahead of time on the booking sites. if you are irritated by hearing little munchkins feet above your head don’t stay on first floor but honestly there is no an huge amount of noise and no one partying etc. I sleep with earplugs so I didn’t hear anything when falling asleep but they have zero tolerance for partying etc . people usually go to sleep at an appropriate time anyhow. I am just warning anyone that can’t stand even a little bit of noise, these people have to stay on second floor. I personally still like staying on the first floor

I read reviews and I was skeptical since lots of the reviews for this hotel were not great, but I bit the bullet and booked based on a couple good reviews and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for the Hilton then this is not the hotel for you. If you are the average traveller then you won't be disappointed. Grizz Hotel was right in the middle of downtown, walking distance from all the restaurants, shops and nightlife. Staff were super friendly and patient. Rooms were very clean and beds very comfy. Loved the cedar ceilings! Older decor but felt very quaint and well cared for. Less noisy on the second floor. We were in a room on 2nd floor next to the stairs and did hear people come up and down but it was not bothersome by any means.

The only thing that could have been better was the food in the restaurant attached to the hotel (Wing 'n It). The wings were to die for. So good, so many flavours, done to perfection. Drinks were good too. However, the rest of the food seemed underdone. I had the fish and chips which for some reason came covered in cheese (nope, not a poutine! But maybe a miscommunication?) and completely turned me off from the meal. This fish was underdone. Otherwise, everything was great. This being said though, you're literally a minutes walk from other great restaurants in the area.
