Hyatt Place Edmonton West

The breakfast was very good. Wide variety of items. Room was spacious. We had 3 adults and 2 children in our room. The bar served food which was good quality at a fair price.

The pool was cold two of our three nights. The children were excited to use the pool but they couldn't stay in long because of the water temperature.

The breakfast was great. There was a great buffet selection and plenty of food for guests. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly.

Breakfast time during the weekdays could be extended to 10am. We found it was a bit rushed with 2 young kids to make it before breakfast ended. The other thing that could have been better is more washroom stalls in the pool/gym area. My son ended up having to rush to the other side of the hotel dripping wet to use the washroom because the one by the pool/gym was occupied.

The staff were amazing, they treated me as if I belonged there , every request was handled immediately, and with a friendly sincere smile. The staff cannot be beat. I really enjoyed my stay. I had to stay because I was waiting to take possession of my home , so I had an extended stay , I am now in my home , However, when I take a “ Staycation “ that’s where I’ll be booking! I got to know the staff by name, and they went over and above!! It was incredibly clean. But , the staff is what made me come back! 5 stars!

The Laundry room - Either better machines , or Hyatt Machines . And definitely more than 1

We came to Edmonton as a family to go to West Edmonton Mall. This hotel was nearby and convenient. We stayed in a suite, and appreciated the separate room to put down our young son early and still relax in the rest of the space (highly recommend this option for families!) The bathroom was large and beautiful. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. A comfortable stay that mostly met our needs.

It would have been nice for the kitchen in our suite to be stocked with a few staple items, like plates, bowls, and cutlery; dish soap; and dish cloths. Otherwise it was just a bunch of empty cupboards that are not useful.

Everything was great! Breakfast, room was comfortable, check in was easy We had a great time at the hotel! Staff was also helpful

My wife requested a late checkout because our toddler needed to nap before we hit the road. She called reception and they basically said yes and said there is a $35 fee which we were fine with. However in the 2 hours that followed, the cleaning staff knocked and opened the door not once but twice. I guess the reception did not communicate our late checkout to housekeeping. At checkout the reception staff was apologetic and did not charge us the late checkout fee. This was our only not so good experience. I understand that sometimes things fall between the crack. I don't hold this against the hotel and will gladly return back. However, there is room for improving a really good experience to excellent and that's the only reason I am leaving this review here.

Staff and breakfast. Although we missed it , the coffee left out for a little bit was sooo appreciated The facility itself was generally great just issue with cleanliness.

Hall carpets were filthy. Carpets in room were not vacuumed. Bed in room 629 was very squeaky (loud) closest to wall side, it would wake my husband when I got up. Sofa had what looked like blood stains on the arm. Window sill needs repair. Place needs a refresh, wear is starting to show. Not at Hyatt standard.

• Having the couch in the room was really nice. (That and the price are the main reasons we chose this particular hotel.) We spent more time in the room because we had a comfortable place to sit and relax. • There were plenty of towels and face cloths in the bathroom. • It was close to West Edmonton Mall and resturants.

• I would have liked the bathroom to be a bit brighter. • It would have been really nice to have a magnifying mirror attached to the wall beside the sink. (It was difficult to try and stand between the counter and toilet in order to get close enough to the mirror to see to put on my make-up.) • A movie chanel on TV would have been nice to have... even if it were a pay-per-view.

A very convenient location to the West Edmonton Mall and other great shopping is close by! Rooms are very spacious, having the separated bedroom and couch areas made it feel very homey. The continental breakfast was very good, and seemed to have slight variations every morning. We had dinner one night at the bar in the lobby, I had fish and chips, while my wife chose a Club Sandwich. While the menu is simple, the food is great, and the drinks were wonderful.

The receptionist was very approachable and friendly when we check in July 14 She even show the facilities located, and the time we need the service don’t hesitate to call. Our room was big enough for family of 5. Our room was located in 6th floor and we can see the sunset The bed was comfy. And my boys was impressed compared when we stay in Royal Hotel Calgary, Trademark Collection by Wyndham.*in expenses * The breakfast has different variety during our 3 days stay.We definitely booked again someday. I have noticed the lady always clean the table after guest uses. Impressive. Thank you from Vancouver, Canada🇨🇦

Just noticed the elevator floor was kind of sticky. Maybe they have reasons to avoid slippery.

Friendly staff throughout entire stay. We reserved room on high floor and were given one with view of Edmonton downtown which was nice, overall room was updated and clean with comfy beds. Pool/gym areas kept clean. Good selection of breakfast options. Close to west Edmonton mall.

Breakfast was a bit chaotic, witnessed a number of people coughing on the food which was disgusting but I know there isn’t much the hotel staff could do about this. No house keeping, unless requested. We had to ask the cleaners for supplies (tp/towels) each morning. Our only complaint about the room is the bathroom door was a frosted glass and you could see the person on the other side. I could see this being an issue with people staying with family or friends. It would also be nice if there was a microwave in the room.
