Sandman Hotel Calgary Airport

There was confusion about the shuttle service, since we received an automated message from headquarters in response to our request, with vague information instead of just giving us the correct contact number. So we missed shuttle. Unhappy situation when you’ve just come off a long flight with a toddler. 100% the fault of whoever set up the system (Booking.com and/or HQ) and not the staff at the actual hotel. Staff and facilities at the hotel were absolutely great, especially the manager I spoke with.

Automated service requests from Booking.com and / Sandman HQ - terrible.

The bed is comfortable and the room is big. On our check in day, a young male staff was approachable and he let us use the microwave in a lounge room since there was no microwave in our room.

I was not happy that there was no microwave in our room and on our check out day, a female receptionist refused to let us use the microwave in the lounge and mentioned to me that they don't have a public use microwave unless in our room. I told her that we don't have one in our room, she did not acknowledge what I said. We left the hotel unhappy as we did not reheat our food for breakfast and coffee.

Most everything, room was great close to elevator which was great for me as i walk with a cane.

I ask every time I stay there which is usually at least once a month , for a room with a walk-in shower not a tub shower as I have a hard time with getting into a tub with my legs. That is the only thing i wish was better then my stay would be excellent every visit.

The parking service for traveller out of Canada to be able to have my car at the hotel during my staying out of Canada.

The shuttle driver was kind of lazy with luggage 🧳 on the airport pick upnot approachable person for sure. Nothing to compare as the driver that took us to the airport he was friendly and approachable

The location of the hotel is good. Quick Uber rides take you almost anywhere you want to go in 10 to 15 minutes. Really enjoyed having Moxie’s restaurant attached to the hotel. Swimming pool and hot tub were small but nice to have. Good value for the price.

Like most properties since COVID, you have to ask to get your room cleaned by early morning or it doesn’t get done.

We had arrived earlier than expected. The lady at the front desk helped us get a room way before check ins. The food and service at Moxies was exceptional. A very nice place to stay. We forgot to book a shuttle and the lady put us on the list. A few minutes later the shuttle arrived. Our driver was the sweetest lady. She asked about our trip and where we were headed. Service was exceptional all around.

Free shuttle, comfortable room, good in-house restaurant, right next to an Enterprise car rental branch, which was considerably cheaper than rentals at the airport! Very attentive staff.

Nothing

Everything was excellent, they provided crib for the baby for free and a shuttle to the airport. Very clean and comfortable room, we had excellent rest before the road. The staff made a great impression 🤩 Location is close to the airport and walking distance to the car rental, perfect!

The room was clean and comfortable and although we were near the airport, we didn't notice the sounds of airplanes.

Our flight was delayed and when we arrived even later than expected, the clerk had us wait in the lobby while figuring out which room to put us in. We were very tired.

From front desk to housekeeping the staff were great. They helped me sort out a lost reservation and found a lost vest...called me promptly so I could pick it up. Special kudos to Melissa and Mhammed (sp?) at the front desk.

One small issue...the bathtub was a bit grubby and slow to drain. Bathroom in general was clean but needing updating.
