Hotel & Palais Strudlhof

The setting for the hotel is lovely and quiet and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is excellent for visiting parks, dining, shopping and using public transportation. The breakfast is a beautiful buffet and quite delicious!

The plaster on the bathroom ceiling fell on me and the bed pillows were flat. However, the staff upgraded us to a lovely room and gave us additional pillows for the bed.

Great Staff, nice view on the terrass, great location, near a beautiful park & not hard to reach with bus or tram.

They don't have a don't disturb card to hang up so housekeeping came barging in once and knocked on the door the other time, both resulting in me waking up. I did ask the night before and the man said he'd write down that I didn't want housekeeping and I should lock my door but it didn't stop them from knocking. He said there aren't any hangers for on the door. Walls are also a little thin. Not bad if you just live normally but housekeeping starting singing very loudly at 9 am, after the barging in and apologizing, which didn't let me fall back asleep again. Otherwise it was perfect.

-The room was very spacious and although not mentioned in my booking an extra bed for the child was included in the room. -Breakfast - despite there was not much variation from day to day , it was diverse enough, so we had a lot of options. -The location for us was perfect - close to Lichtenstein Castle - and walking distance from City Hall, Danube river and a lot of central attractions. -Quite well connected to the metro and trams + Hofer and Spar Shops close by. -Bonus - on the 7-8th floor there is panorama deck - on rooftop of the hotel - so you can see the city from above- this is not very well advertised. in addition there is garden, and next to the hotel you could find Strudlhof stairs with a nice fountain .

-The furniture was a bit outdated -We had an issue with the bathroom door - which was fixed in 1 day- preferably to be checked before the guests arrives

On arrival, you new need to get a parking place. We arrived at 1:30pm so there was still space in the hotel’s underground car park. €44 for 2days but very worth it. We then bought a 2 day public transport pass €14 and that’s all we needed. Hotel in a quiet location but ideal to get to the tram stops. Hotel reception very helpful, speaking good English. Room on 2nd floor, 209, clean, neat and just as needed. Bathroom had a bath with shower over. Sides were steep. Plenty of towels provided. Minibar available but we did not use. Shower wash provided, plus some tubes of toiletries, shower cap, nail files, etc. Folder with relevant information. Room clean daily during our stay. TV, coffee and flavoured teas, not breakfast tea, available but no milk. Hairdryer and shaving mirror. Stairs and lifts available. Breakfast had a great view up on top floor but we did not eat there. Would recommend. A very business like hotel that does what it says.

The room was very hot and stuffy. We were able to borrow a fan from reception and carry it up yourselves. We were not told that the air conditioning was broken. We only overheard this as we were checking out. It was being mended then but that had taken 2 days!

very large rooms, very clean and very good breakfast. unfortunately the hotel hs nothing to do with the palace, the palace is behind and there are some conference rooms or smth like that there. we even couldn’t visited. for us was unpleaseant that even I book 2 rooms at once, identical rooms, the put the reservation for 2 rooms at 2 diffrent floors. the other room was for my parents in order to take care from time to time to my daughter who stayed with us, but because of that was impossible. it was too hot in the rooms and the air too dry. otherwise, I recommend this place

Comfortable, clean and spacious rooms and the central but peaceful location made this an excellent choice for my week long stay while attending a conference at the University of Vienna - 20 minute walking distance from the main University building or just 2 quick tram stops away.

Access was initially very confusing. The 'Hotel' and the 'Palais' are 2 separate buildings on the same property, (accessed from different roads on different 'levels'). I arrived with luggage via public transport. The 'button' on the Palais, (which is 'empty') does not work and gave no clue as to how and where I might access the hotel. A friend who came with me circled until he found the entrance, (while I waited with the luggage), or I might have been searching for a while.

Breakfast is fine and rich. the room is spacious and air conditioned. beds are good and laundry changes are well. transportation is quiet good (D Tram gets you to the ring and from there all U-bahns)

There is no kettle for coffee in room. The safe is not really safe as one can take it as a whole.

Everything else is good, nice and quiet location with a lot of bars and restaurants walking distance away. Spacious and clean room. Helpful and kind staff. Very good wifi connection.

For some reason there was no remote for the a/c unit, so we couldn't set it to our preference

My wife and I enjoyed a three night stay at the Hotel & Palais Strudlhof. The hotel is is an outstanding older property that includes a former private palace that is a Vienna landmark. It is located in a good location on the west side of the city-centre, just outside the ring road. Our room was extraordinarily large and comfortable for a city hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The included breakfast was outstanding and was served in a beautiful room with white linen tablecloths and napkins. Unfortunately the restaurant and bar were not open due to staffing issues.

The weather was very warm during our stay in Vienna. Although our room was equipped with air conditioning----it did not cool the room down enough at night to have a comfortable sleep.

I have stayed in this hotel before and I really love it!! It is situated in a quiet street, beautiful district of Vienna. The rooms are spacious, comfy, wifi is working well and I have really nothing to complain about. The staff is attentive and friendly. This time I did not take breakfast, but I know from previous experience that it is delicious🙂.

As wrote above, I have nothing to complain about.
