Proximity to main train station. Cleanliness and general state of the shower, toilet - you can see the standards and benefits of an international chain. Free hot water from the machine (to make your own tea). Possibility to store luggage for free after check-out. Common kitchen is basic, but allows you to cook some pasta if needed.

6-bed dorm room was quite small-ish. It is an old building and looks like it doesn't have any air-conditioning, so both the rooms and common area are very warm, you can hardly sit inside for 5 min without sweating. Bed linen is not included, you need to rent, which is fine in principle but this is not stated clearly on the booking. Excessive communication! I received like 10 emails from the property with all the offers and bargains before arrival but still had to fill in a paper form to check-in, clearly this could be done digitally in advance as well. But all-in-all, you can't beat the price.

Great facilities in the common areas and reasonably priced bar.

A homeless woman walked in off the street and proceeded to sleep on some seating in the lounge until a family woke her up, then she went and sat by the lockers and was harassing people. She should have been asked to leave.

Location is perfect.

I was shocked about why do i need to ask and pay for bed linen? why don't the employees say that there is no linen when registering, why do you need to go and ask again? For the first time I see that you have to pay for linen.

Value for money was good. Centrally-located, the hostel is perfect for 1-2 nights at Salzburg. The breakfast was very good, there was enough food and in a big variety, considering the price.

Checking was lengthy. Automated check-in counters that were in the lobby did not work. There weren´t enough receptionists to service all waiting customers. Floor in our room was dusty. Not all beds have been changed and we had to ask at the reception for extra bedsheets. We have reserved a cot for our 2-year-old and despite confirmation, it wasn´t provided. Parking was full and in a shady back-alley without any surveillance, so we rather parked our car elsewhere - the hotel didn´t provide any refund.

Very close to the train station and grocery stores/restaurants. Room was super big considering we were only 6 people haha. They give you sheets and a towel (free) and you have to make your own bed. Really enjoyed the common area, it was nice seeing people connect with each other. There is a small and basic guest kitchen but it does the job. This building is so big and the wifi connection was really good. There are also vending machines with all sorts of things you might need while traveling. There are two sockets and a reading light on each bed which was perfect. The room had enough storage for each person which was nice. Toilet and shower in two separate areas in the room. Everything is really clean! It's a great place to chill while backpacking.

Nothing, everything was great.

The room was well-designed so that even though we were a family of four, it didn't feel too crowded. There were little touches such as in built-in night lights for all the beds that made things easier. It was extremely close to the main train station which was handy for getting around by train and bus. We were able to store our bags in the bag storage room on the day of our arrival and departure. The room and bathroom were very clean and, despite being in a hostel, the room was very quiet. The staff were very helpful.

There was nothing really that we didn't like. It was a very good budget option. The only thing to be aware of is that it is a bit of a walk to the tourist areas in the old town but there are regular buses from outside the station. Also, it is a very busy hostel so you might need to wait at times to speak to staff.

Great location only 3 min walk to bus/train station This was super handy as we were getting a early bus to Hallstatt

The only thing I would say would be the check in system. We used the digital check in which was super quick and easy but then had to wait half an hour at reception to get the key cards. ( this was due to a large group 100+ students all checking in at the same time) I feel they could have put a second colleague on check in desk to deal with other travellers

They had separate rooms to store your luggage even before check-in and after check-out times. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Guest kitchen was clean with electric burners, microwave, fridge and a variety of utensils. Rooms were small but very clean and suitable for families too. Overall their working model is great, with centralized facilities and a large common area, instead of individual rooms.

Guest laundry was not working. No ironing facilities was available. Rooms were small and pointy metal corners are not safe for small children. Bunk bed has small protection walls, adult supervision is necessary when kids climb up the bed.

Late-night check-in (2:00 am) was also fine, as per my experience. I loved the fact that they had some space for children to play inside the hotel. And the staff there were amazing. The room was big enough to accommodate a family of 4. It was a nice experience staying there.

There is nothing I disliked about the property. Everything exceeded my expectations. The only thing I wish could have better is the price. But again, compared to the facilities available I cannot complain that much.
