Fraser Suites Perth

We stayed in a premium apartment on the 18th floor, which was very spacious and had amazing views. The balcony, too, was quite large. The housekeeping was excellent. The bed was super comfy.

The lifts were rather slow, not helped by one being permanently out of order. The work surface and kitchen cupboards were extraordinarily high, which made it difficult for me to reach things as I am only 5 ft tall. But these are just minor points and wouldn't stop us staying there again.

The rooms are nicely appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The lounge suite was not comfortable and the black furnishings felt a little harsh and masculine. The Swan River view was absolutely wonderful and I enjoyed eating my meals looking out through the large windows. Excellent gym amenities and a great lap pool. The sauna was a treat although the wooden benches are aged and seemed unstable and probably need updating. The property was close to locations I utilised and very easy access to Perth‘s fabulous free bus system. The staff were friendly although the foyer and lift areas are overly perfumed which was unpleasant. Extra toiletries and tea etc were provided upon request. The toiletries were fantastic!

The main reason I booked an apartment was for use of the kitchen. While the kitchen had refrigerator and cooktop facilities that I utilised a lot, and a handy little drawer dishwasher, they needed more in the way of cookware. One small saucepan and one tiny frypan was not enough given that I was staying in an apartment with a kitchen for a week, needing to cater to my strict diet. Also, I had to ask the cleaning staff to come and clean the kitchen one evening upon arriving home, as they had only made the bed but left the kitchen with crumbs all over the bench and food stuck on the hotplate. No scourers or cleaning sprays are provided so I would have expected this to occur in the daily clean. The problem was resolved quickly. 

All are excellent except :....

no life guard attend the swimpool, some african male guest just wear the underpant and get into the jacuzzi next to the pool, the staff wrongly bill twice for our buffet breakfast,

I've used Fraser Suites as a base over several years because as a rule its a peaceful spot and the facilities are very nice - having a soak in a spa is lovely and the sauna is good too. ( spa was closed this last time though, boo) Smells really good in the foyer

Like any place with high traffic and use I've noted it is starting to show its age in places/some facilities closed during stays The last stay was quite peaceful despite being on the second floor - good sized room, but higher floors are certainly better not just for views/noise but generally better ventilated. Lifts - We were down to one working lift. Unfortunate during the peak holiday season Staff can be a little aloof - I've had quite a spectrum. Seems to have been quite a turnover in the last 12-18 months

It was convenient to the Pink concert at the Optus Stadium.

I was very upset that after paying $1211 for the night that there was NO PARKING facilities. I was told that their parking was full and that I could get a meter behind the hotel which was a further $12. I took me 3 times around the one way system to find a place! Very inconvenient and again my son came after work and it took him around 45 minutes to find a parking space which ended up a good 3 km from the hotel! And at the price I paid I thought it would have included Breakfast!!

We stay here often either as a couple or with the family and love it every time we do!! The rooms are great and have all the amenities we need and the facilities at the hotel (pool, spa, sauna, gym) are always fun! The staff did very well in meeting our special request and even had a card and bottle of wine for my wife's birthday waiting in our room upon arrival.

Only issue we had was the remote in our bedroom (1907) wouldn't work on the TV, the one in the lounge was fine and both remotes (lounge and bedroom) worked on that TV but neither would work in the bedroom. So, I could use the power button on the TV to get it going, but navigating the little toggle to scroll through the menu was frustrating and ultimately couldn't get out of the welcome screen. Not a big deal for us but may be for others who like to lay in bed with the TV on.

The room had amazing view. Clean and comfortable.

Paid $32 for breakfast and they ran out of food but 10am. Breakfast was open until 10.30am and they didn't bother restocking. Not even toast.

The lady at reception when I arrived was brilliant. I got to the hotel at 10:30am not expecting my room to be ready. The lady searched and searched and found one for me…wonderful and very much appreciated!

The cafe in the foyer refused to serve me at 6:23am in the morning telling me they didn’t open until 6:30am. I appreciate they are well within their rights to say that, but I was being picked up at 6:30 and would have thought that for 7 minutes I could have got a take away coffee. Compared to my welcome the previous day at reception…this was a let down.

The Fraser Suites is in central location so we were able to walk into the CBD and enjoy the sites. On the second night we ordered a taxi and went to Crown Casino for our wedding anniversary celebration. I loved the jacuzzi but was unable to find the button. it was nice lying on the loungers and reading, I had the place to myself. I asked reception for if I could have a toweling robe for pool and within ten minutes someone dropped one off at my room,

We liked the Lobby Bar which sold coffee and snacks during the day. We used it as a bar in the late afternoon and to buy a night cap after a night out. Nice enough in there but may I suggest a few more comfortable chairs and dimmed lighting for the evening time when the area becomes a bar? We were disappointed to that Heirloom wasn't open I presume because of Covid which is a bad excuse especially as it was advertised when we booked

Apartment was spacious. Comfortable king size bed and the views were great. Big fridge freezer in the kitchen was handy also. Location was quiet good. It took about 15-25 minutes to walk to Perth Concert Hall and into the city,

Second bedroom in the 2 bedroom apartment smelt like cat urine and was a little tired compared to main bedroom. We told reception and they sprayed with an air freshener, which helped. Cleaning could better in terms of detailing, we noticed dirty marks on the glass of framed pictures in the living area.
