Mercure Townsville

We stayed 2 nights at great location and very comfortable the location is great to get around and the room was very clean the restaurant on site had a great selection of food at a very reasonable price one thing I would say is don't snack before you eat as the portions are huge. Breakfast was great with a massive selection of fresh or cooked food. We stayed new years eve and the town was a bussle of people in great spirits a mazing place. Although we did not use the pool the kids and parents loved it and said it was very warm to be in. Tha k you for a great stay

The staff were absolutely amazing. We travel alot for work and pleasure and have stayed in 5 star hotels where service has been sub-par but the staff at Mercure Townsville are by far the best. We will definitely be back just for that reason, keep up the good work guys. From the front of house to the bar and restaurant, every staff member we dealt with was accommodating and helpful

The room we stayed in was really hot as the aircon is situated in a corner that doesnt give all round coolness. The shower set up doesnt work as you have to shower with the lowest possible pressure or else the bathroom gets filled with overflow from the shower. In saying this the staff makes up for this.

Grounds pretty and well kept. Pool area was lovely. Very quiet considering closeness of roads. Convenient to multiple, easy food options.

Loud convention/presentation in foyer/public access area outside restaurant during breakfast service. One small, thin(ish) pillow per guest (depends on personal preference). Damaged door handles (still functioned). There was 2 trays of room service dirty plates left in walkway for several hours.

Absolutely loved the pool! The hotel even provided use of pool towels which can be found near the pool. The rooms are set in a pretty green setting. Room comfortable (slightly dated) but bathroom modern. The housekeeping and reception staff were lovely. Plenty of dining/ takeaway options near by.

My only feedback was that there were no plug sockets available near the bed or bedroom area. We ended up having to charge our device in the bathroom or in the tea/coffee cupboard. Which made it difficult when wanting to use the laptop!

I love the property. It’s around 6kms from The Strand/beach, but right next door to Subway, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Red Rooster, Taco Bells and an awesome kebab shop. The property also boasts and amazing restaurant with outdoor dining, that overlooks the gorgeous pool and surrounding gardens. Rooms are excellent. Beds and pillows are so comfy.

Outdoor spa wasn’t heated and doesn’t have a gym or kids games room.

We liked the proximity to the shops. The cocktails were amazing. After spending a week, we enjoyed seeing familiar staff each day and staff were amazing and helped ensure we had a great and fun stay.

Nothing! Everything was great

There was a problem with the door handle but once it was brought to the Reception Personal's attention it was fixed. Breakfast was well laid out and offered a great range of choices. I didn't use the Pool but I was able to witness families making use of the Pool.

There was quite a deal of music noise from the Graduation Ceremony and Guests returning from the event.

The pool was walk in temperature :-) Plenty of pool towels available. The dinner from Celius was great. The room was serviced daily. The brand new lugguage trolleys are great. We fit everything on the trolley at once and the trolley was easy to steer.

The pool was fantastic, however, the design of the steps in the pool has not been thought through properly. Pool ladders can be tricky for some as they are very narrow. The only graduated stairs to get out of the pool are blocked with a garden. The main entrance basically means you have to sit on the only step (which pulls threads on your togs) or jump in and not a great option if you are not sure of the depth. The steps were too high for me to use to get out. If you are doing renovations in winter, drain the pool and fix the step issue. The rooms need a renovation and some of the beds need replacing.

Beautiful property very relaxing, great confortable bed, and close to shopping centre. The housekeeping did an exceptional job everyday.

Room service options as well as menu options at restaurant could be a little bit better . Did not cater for all types of simple eaters. Poolside service could have been nice. Lounges or seating would have been nice in the gardens not only near pool.

Air con in room old and in need of updating. on arrival air con is on which would’ve been lovely if it was working correctly. This first room we had to switch as it didn’t work at all blew air only. second worked but noisy (heard it whiting all night long)
