Clouds Mapleton

We spent four nights here and liked it a lot. The two bedroom unit was a generous size with good bathroom and handy kitchenette. There was a laundry next to the pool area which we didn't use but it's good to know this was available if we had needed it.

Trees and pools really don't go well together. The pool had leaves (and bugs) constantly falling into it. The auto pool cleaner seemed to have its work cut out for it trying to stay on top of it. Also the pool depths were not marked (that I could see) and the steep and deep part went deep really quickly. Kids need to have a parent in the water and nearby them in this pool.

Easy to follow map, road in and out was easy. The kitchen was fully equipped. The bathrooms were clean and fully stocked with the things you’d need. Extra blankets were supplied. The apartment had aircon, fans and big windows for open air and light.

The room we stayed in had a very stained couch, I didn’t really want to sit on it. The bed sheets were also a little stained/ scratchy and uncomfortable to sleep in. The apartment wasn’t very private and you could see straight through the glass in the front door/ all the windows at that front where other guests would be walking through to get to their own appartments, not good for some one who’s working away where equipment may be visible to the public that they need to travel with. Also would not suggest taking a large vehicle in there as the car parks are not designed for large 4x4 vehicle lengths. (Park up at the reception if you have a large vehicle) Theres not a lot of turning space I had to do an Austin powers move to manoeuvre my car in and out of the parking areas

Big 5 bedrooms home great for dual family living. Open plan kitchen/family room. House placed in a nice tropical garden, well maintained. Well appointed kitchen. Good water pressure in the shower. Big terrace and patio with bbq.

A second TV in the 5th bedroom would have been nice, away from kids and their parents at night. Also a coffee maker machine would have been appreciated. The second toilet door was faulty and couldn’t be closed. Bedroom windows could not be opened to let the fresh air in. Terrace needed a good clean. No aircon in the bedrooms, only in the living area. The night was very cold, 11 degrees Celsius and we were cold in the bed.

easy to find, communication with the team was easy, found room key easy enough. Upon entering our accommodation, it was so nice and cool and smelled clean. It was everything we needed and more. Very quiet at night, except for the frogs! The beds were very comfortable.

Unfortunately I booked this accommodation as it has a pool, only when we got there it was closed off as the pool was green.

Great rain forest ambiance and family friendly.

We were looking forward for breakfast included during our stay and went to the clouds mapleton venue site but got frustrated because it is closed . We saw a staff and were told that breakfast is only on weekends. We were hoping that breakfast will be included during weekdays stay too .

The house was very clean, we really enjoed it very much, the fireplace was amazing and kept the house nice and warm. The location was great and close to everythinh. We enjoyed our stay there very much. The photos dont really do justice, the place looks much nicer than the photos.

Not enough pots to cook, i mean not at all. A very small pan to fry 2 eggs in it. And being a big house you would expect big families to live there, but not a big pot to cook a family meal. I was a bit dissapointed with the kitchen utensiles....

Clean & spacious accommodation. Comfortable bedding, & spacious kitchen with everything we needed. Close to shops & venues we were attending.

With an elderly family member and the house having stairs as only access it was a little tricky for them, ramp access would have been ideal other then that the accommodation was great.

The booking and check in process was easy(a lockbox onsite for electronic door key pickup using an emailed code). When I phoned reception they picked up quickly and were very helpful. The unit was a two bedroom and it was beautifully appointed. The Flat screen TV was a good one. The unit was quite modern, very clean and being a garden unit it had everything you need for a family stay as it was a kind of forest lodge. The outside setting was a lovely rain forest setting making you feel you are in deep rain-forest even though the main road was only a 100 meters away. It was lovely and quiet and the parking was covered and easy. They have rain forest bush walking tracks on site and the sense of quiet was lovely. We were at Clouds Mapelton and the buffet breakfast was at Clouds Montville. This breakfast was very nice also. Nice food and nice service....easy! If you want peace and quiet this is for you.

The only problem we had which somewhat annoying, was mobile phone/wireless internet coverage. We have Vodafone and the reception was patchy at best and none at worst. I suspect this was because we were down from the road in a dip. I had to walk to a high spot in the grounds to get any bars on my phone. I guess being off the grid overnight has it's benefits but having to watch free to air TV and put up with repeated ads for the latest reality TV shows is not one of them ;-) I don't consider this to be at all any fault of Clouds , more our phone provider. You are up in the mountains out in the country after all! There was no in-room internet access that I saw.

Room was big, comfortable and contained everything that i needed

I arrived late - so it was a little difficult to access the lock box and the room as it was so dark It would have also been good if it was clearer that the complimentary breakfast was not on site and a 10 min drive away - it wasn't a problem but i just assumed it was in one of the other rooms on site. The wifi was non-existent in the rooms - i actually had to sit outside to get wifi

great location for hike to Baxter falls/ mapleton falls. Good communication from staff. very generous sized rooms, comfortable beds and great shower with good pressure and hot, hot water- just what we needed after a day hiking in the rain. great kitchen facilities. beautiful grounds and gardens.

couch is very strange and uncomfortable with half of it two narrow to sit on properly and tv is positioned a long way from the lounge. most dishes in the drawer were not properly cleaned.
