Heritage Cairns Hotel

Location was close to esplanade. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.

The only reason l didn't give a 10 is because the pool was not available due to repairs and being a hot 35° we were really looking forward to a dip.

Clean linens, free biscuits, good air-conditioning, central location, a quick drive from the airport.

It seemed slightly run down and there weren't many people around, including staff. The in room coffee sachets had hardened due to the humidity and had not been replaced in some time. I think this is a hotel people only stay in for one night like us, on our way overseas.

The hotel room was clean, convenient and comfortable. The location is excellent. A 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Cairns; it's in a nice and quiet location. Cairns is a tropical paradise and great base for trips to the rainforest and great barrier reef. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom was functional and clean and the bed very comfortable. The mountain views were breathtaking and there was a nice breeze. July is a wonderful month to visit.

The staff especially Sally were extremely lovely. I didn’t get the other lady’s name but both made you feel welcomed there and were very accomodating and helpful. The location of the hotel was close enough to the main hustle & bustle of the Cairns but also a good distance where it was not too disruptive/noisy.

There was a consistent beeping noise (like a washing machine or similar) that kept going all night but it was bearable.

Heritage Cairns upgraded our room to a balcony room & we had a double bed in 1 room & a single bed in the lounge room & this suited our needs exactly. I also loved the shower as it was a bigger cubicle than normal. Also, the breakfast was sufficient at $8 per head, all the normal self serve items were available. It was perfect for a nights accommodation on route to our stay on Green island. It also had a bar fridge and a microwave, sink & all the utensils needed.

It was actually further away from the shopping centre than we thought and it was very hot even in May for a long walk.

We are very happy with our stay at Tropical Heritage. We spent the whole 2 weeks at this property, we come to Cairns regularly and previously stayed in a few different ones, Heritage by far better than any other we stayed before in that price range. The room was large and clean, the bed was is king size reasonably firm for my lower back problem, but very comfortable as well. There was a TV set in the lounge, and the second one in the bedroom connected to the internet and Netflix, The room service was very discrete and very nice ladies. Didn't use it but noticed a transfer minivan in the front, that I assume was utilised for airport transfers. There are Cairns maps and attractions on display at the reception. The ladies at the reception are very nice and helpful. I spent some time talking to the young fella at the reception and found him very polite and caring. The kitchenette is practical, and tea and milk are provided. The fridge and microwave were helpful as well. We will be definitely staying with them again. Thanks for making our stay so comfortable.

I really wouldn't find anything to fail them on.

The front desk staff are very friendly. Special thanks to Sally and the manager/owner for going above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful experience. We stayed in two rooms that were connected which has a small kitchenette, it was very spacious and comfortable. The price was also very reasonable compared to other properties.

Hotel was lovely, very clean entry, rooms, has an elevator, wifi was spot on, bathroom lovely and roomy and clean. Comfy bed, lots of pillows. Very happy with my stay and would certainly recommend and go again myself if was going to Cairns. Staff were delightful and very helpful and friendly too.

Nothing! The weather! Nothing to dislike, everything was how I had hoped and was walking distance to everything needed, shops - esplanade, markets etc.

The room was comfortable. It was spacious enough for sleeping, as we were out and about. The location is 5 - 10 minutes' walk to the esplanade and a wide range of eateries. Being in a side street it was quiet.

The breakfast facilities were limited after a school group had been through. Their supervisor did not effectively oversee their cleaning up and washing up after eating.

although the majority of our honeymoon was on Fitzroy Island we commenced our holiday by spending our first and last nights here at the Heritage. We loved the staff, the welcome, the location and the amazing spa in our room. The esplanade and all the best sushi were 8-12 minutes walk. The staff accommodated both an early check-in and a late check-out, stored our luggage and gave us a lovely bottle of Shiraz to start our honeymoon off on the right foot! The property is PNG- owned and only Australian Indigenous art adorns the hallways. We love this place and plan on making it our regular when we visit friends in Cairns.
