Great spot and the room has everything you could need. The restaurant was great too

That there wasn’t any breakfast

Beautiful setting. We saw kangaroos hopping through the vineyards, picturesque! The rooms were very comfy and particularly the king superior room was beautiful. The restaurant on site was delicious and very accommodating with both my food allergies and our young children

I felt the breakfast could be improved, particularly I asked for some modifications to mine due to food allergies and although they did try to provide alternatives, it was a little bit lacking. In the end the only things I was sure I could eat were the coconut yoghurts, everything else was either not clear i could eat it (eg not labelled) or I could not eat it, which felt a little frustrating.

Hermitage lodge is well situated close to main areas in Pokolbin. Within walking distance to some lovely wineries (First Creek, Vinden, etc.). We had a suite which was incredibly spacious and well equipped. The fireplace in the living area was cosy and we enjoyed the spa on the deck (even in the cold!). The bathroom and walk in robe was nice and spacious. It was helpful having a kitchen. The food at the restaurant on site, Pescara, was delicious and the service was wonderful.

The bed was very firm and not very comfortable. Some of the kitchenware may need updating - the knife for chopping was blunt, which can be dangerous.

Hermitage Lodge more than exceeded our expectations. The fit out of the rooms was stunning, the crockery was gorgeous and the interior design was amazing. The view of the little vineyard is such a nice touch. The team here was so lovely and accomodating! We had a later check in and the reception turned on our lights and heating ahead of time so we came into a cosy space which was exactly what we needed at 8pm. Communication from the lodging was perfect and more than greatly appreciated.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this place, honestly it blew me away.

Rooms was a brand new and decorated. As soon as we come in from a hot sunny days, we enter our room that smell very nice with aircon on. Pillow and beds are heaven. We also love the jet spa. Will definitely come back to stay here

We do understand that we stay in a middle of winery, so there’s a few bugs and mosquitos around but its totally fine. And when when we have eyes on the roof, there is few little spiderweb. Probably need extra time for cleaning, but it’s worth the 10 stars

Really good value for money. Extremely large rooms (we stayed in a suite) that were right on the beautiful vineyard. We travelled with my partner and baby so there was so much room for my baby to run around in and a full sized bathtub for him to have a bath. Great location too it was very central to everything.

The only thing that we didn't like was that our room wasn't cleaned which wasn't too much of a big deal but we did order breakfast for the two days and the breakfast plates weren't picked up. I also requested a cot as I have a 14 month old baby and they only portable cots which my baby is a bit too big for. Both of these things weren't too big of a deal though which is why I still rate this hotel 9 out of 10.

The room was lovely. Outside space, air con & a lovely shower. Breakfast was in the room which I thought would be basic but was gorgeous - there's a toaster for bagels and the granola and yoghurt was great. Milk, tea, coffee, juice and a fridge too.

The on site restaurant isn't open on a Tues or a Wed so we had to drive. The recommendations weren't the best. Many places close at 8.30pm so booking is essential.

Well located place to stop. We appreciated the verandah with furniture overlooking the vines - it was for a restful spot to sit in the afternoon with a cuppa and something to read. The inclusion of real plates and cutlery with washing up equipment enabled us to have a picnic dinner one night on the verandah after a hard day & night checking out the Hunter Valley Gardens (day & night illuminiations)

An awning over the pool or part of the pool would have been nice, as it I found it too hot and sunny to really enjoy a swim in the pool.

The location is fantastic, with easy access to many vineyards. The room was very spacious and immaculate, with a great view. The beds were comfortable, and our room had an awesome working fireplace. The rooms also had AC, which was very handy since it was chilly at night. The staff was friendly and always ready to help. We truly enjoyed our stay.

While not a significant issue, it would be nice if they could provide some variety for the breakfast. Having some eggs and/or bacon with toast would be nice.

This was our second stay, my partner and I loved it before just as much our stay last weekend, the staff were amazing and the room was convenient. the bathroom was really nice and clean and the room itself was spacious. we also love that the TV had a chrome cast option. Everything was just sooo amazing.

My partner and I did have trouble with the pillows and we were feeling quite itchy when sleeping in the bed however after spraying some bug spray that was in cupboard it was okay. There was also spare pillows in the cupboard which was more firm however not to our liking. I do believe that the weather did have a lot to play with the whole bug situation though!
