Fanatic welcome and really well looked after by all the staff. Very friendly. They organised trips, gave advice about things to do, arranged my transfer on arrival and my taxi back. They all spoke amazing English. I ate a couple of time - be warned you need to be hungry!! The barbecue was epic: 1 x enormous sausage, a gammon steak, a beef filet and lamb with salad and chips!! The dining room overlooks Lago Argentino and the mountains. There are even hammocks and hanging chairs in the garden & decking area. The other guests were really friendly and up for hanging out. The room was nice, the shower good and everything clean. If you only have chance to do a couple of trips I'd recommend horse riding at Estancion Cristal and the Big Ice trek on the Perito Moreno Glacier. Never ridden a horse before but the wilds of E Cristal is THE place to do it. Both epic days. Massive thanks to all the staff for making it such an amazing stay.
Everything was excellent.

Amazing atmosphere in a clean, comfortable and modern hostel that attracts a lot of fellow travellers, with lovely staff, and a fantastic strong and hot shower. The fantastic view from the hill, huge kitchen and restaurant top it off. Located less than 15 minutes walking / 3 minutes by taxi from the bus terminal and less than 10 minutes from the main street. The staff is super helpful with everything and you can book all tours too. Breakfast is simple. Shower and toilet are comfortably in the room.
Bunk beds are simple and old. The wood makes a lot of sound when some moves and the pillow was quite empty. Breakfast was simple. Coffee, tea, juice, fruits, sweets, scrabbled eggs, bread to toast and, overly sweet yoghurt.

Sociable hostel, the staff are good and give you advice for walks and things to do in both El Calafate and El Chalten. I ate at the hostel once and the food was good, the rest of the time I cooked in the kitchen which was pretty well stocked. Good wifi and showers, great view of the lake from the hostel common area. The hostel will also arrange all your trips, taxis and buses etc.
Rooms were very hot on an evening to the point where we slept with the window open even though it was 3 degrees outside One member of staff was asking out pretty much every woman in the hostel - don't think he realised women talk and we all knew what he was up to! I personally wasn't fussed by this but it was making some of the girls uncomfortable

This was such a good place for new years. There was a party and nice people, and we made dinner to enjoy outside on the super nice patio with an amazing view. Sunsets and Lago Argentina aren't too bad to enjoy from a hostel patio with hammocks! The hostel itself was super well decorated, had a great common area with comfortable seating, games, sometimes even live music, etc., and it was full of personality and life. The beds in our 6-person room were really comfortable, even though I would have loved an AC or just a fan by the bed (and a bit less noisy bed). But nothing too bad. The lockers were big and there was plenty of space for 6 people. The staff was absolutely amazing, spoke perfect English and went out of their way to welcome us and help when needed. Cheap and fast laundry too. Note: Please book your tours in advance. The hostel offers the same prices as everywhere else and it is super easy, but for a lot of the tours, we couldn't book them as they were full, even 5 days ahead. I was very happy that we had a nice shower/toilet in our room as the one in the hall was right next to the reception. In our room, the two were also separated, so easy to share with others even though we had a full house! Breakfast was also nice. A bit basic, but had an okay variety. It took around 15 minutes from the bus stop to the hostel by foot with big backpacks on.
The kitchen wasn't that well equipped, but fine for making basic food! The restaurant is nothing fancy but fine. It's a 15-20 min walk to the city centre with supermarkets, stores and restaurants but definitely worth it for the super nice hostel and its views.

This is a great place to stay, with riendly, helpful staff and great facilities. The view is excellent. The common area is warm and inviting. A good place to hang out for sure. They had music every night, with a different band or DJ. Miakiela and Illean were absolutely wonderful, and helped me out with any arrangements or tours I needed. The chefs were also very friendly, and cooked up some good food. There is a restaurant, as well as cooking facilities for whatever your preference is. The friendly local dogs that hang out back will win you over quickly too. I would recommend this place anytime.
They could use a few more utensils in the kitchen. That’s about it. The place was pretty good and fun.

Great location, with a lovely view over the lake in the hostel restaurant/bar. Really nice atmosphere in the hostel in the communal area with strong wifi. The staff were really helpful and responsive (you can WhatsApp them at any point) - we arrived late and they arranged for us to be booked on a tour to the glacier for early the next day.
Only dislike is that the hostel was expensive for what was quite a basic room, with the food the same price as restaurants in town and the packed lunch also very expensive if you request one (15,000 pesos for a sandwich, apple, alfajor biscuit and water).

Most of the staff were excellent, very helpful and patient. Rooms had large lockers. Shower was always hot. Wifi was good throughout the hostel. Safe and secure luggage storage available. Great views and good to have a terrace. Restaurant is well priced for a hostal, food was always delivered with a smile :)
Short dark-haired female staff member was boarding on rude - very dismissive, zero patience with any guests trying to speak Spanish. She always spoke in English, talking over people including other staff members, not listening and generally being unfriendly. A shame as the rest of the staff really made the place stand out. Common areas get dirty very quickly, especially the seats upstairs. Shop around for tours rather than go with the Hostal prices - there are better deals in town.

The common areas are amazing.. very good vibe to chill and socialise. The guys at the reception are also very nice and happy to help in any moment. They helped us booking excursions and taxis. They store your luggage for free.
The dorms are very small and are lacking of basic stuff for a good hostel: no stair to go up to the upper bunk bed, no curtains to the beds means zero privacy, towels are to be rented (the hostel is expensive I would expect a towel to be provided). Also the room was small and very little space to move around. Overall it’s a good option for the vibe of the hostel though not for the dorms.

The personnel working at the hostel were friendly, especially Augustin and the other barman (I'm sorry I forgot his name, from Venezuela) were wonderful!!! They made me feel very special and treated me nicely which was appreciated while traveling alone. I also loved the view from the main lobby. The food was also excellent in the restaurant. It was so good, and convenient after a long day, I didn't even try any restaurants in town. They also had live music one night. Very cool hostel, with a lot of tour suggestions and things to do in the area, for all prices.
Some instructions were not clear during check-in. For example, the sign in the room says you can ask to change beds when someone leaves, but at the front desk they told me you can only ask to change beds in the mornings before the housekeeper comes. I understand, but it could be more clear. Same with ordering the van transport to the airport. When I went to the front desk at 6:15pm to order a van to the airport the next day, they told me I have to ask before 6pm because the office is closed. I did not know this and because I was out all day, I did not get back from my tour until late. A heads up would have been better, but it worked out in the end. The $4 van was a better deal than the $12 taxi, even though I had to wait an extra hour at the small airport.

Beautiful hostel, the view from the common area was amazing, staffs were really helpful and the tours that could be booked through hostel were really good Dinner and wine were at reasonable price and nice, portion was generous
Got very poor sleep for few nights staying in a mixed dorm of 6 since one of the dormmate was being extremely inconsiderate and selfish for 2 consecutive nights who'd came back to the dorm at 2am and turned on all lights and got stuffs in and out from his bag for 30 mins waking everyone up while the rest 5 were deep asleep, not the hostel's fault though but just got extremely unlucky
