Hanoi Hotel Royal

Nice hotel in the alleyway and was very near the Old Quarter, only 5 mins away to the main attractions. the receptions are very nice ladies and we have never felt so welcomed in a hotel before. They chatted with us, showed us to our room and how the room functioned. also, when we were checking out the front desk walked us out to our car to say our final goodbyes. Very very highly recommend this location and will come back again!

Since this hotel was in an alleyway, at night time the street food vender was right in front of the hotel. So, at nighttime it was pretty nosy. But, this has nothing to do with the hotel. Nothing bad to say about the hotel itself!

The high review score really speaks for itself. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful right from the beginning until the very end. The king size bed with the balcony room is spacious (the bed is certainly the biggest bed I’ve ever slept in). The room itself is sooo clean which I find it very rare to come by with hard wooden floor. Location is perfect. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the experience and will highly recommend this place to all my friends.

Fantastic staff. Great location. Very comfortable rooms. Breakfast small, but good - pancakes, eggs and soup cooked to order available. We had a great stay, would definetively come back. If staying on a weekend - there's traditional performances in the night market, one is right around the corner.

Our room was exceptional, with ample natural light, exactly the way we were expecting, and a cute little balcony. Chau Nguyen, at the reception, is one of the sweetest people we met in Vietnam. Very helpful and accommodating. Definitely will come back and stay again.

EVERYTHING. This hotel was like staying with family but better. The breakfast was delicious and made to order with yummy snacks. My husband became very sick during our three night stay and Julie brought us home made porridge for him. The floors are mopped daily I’ve never stayed at a hotel so clean. Location is very central but not on a main street so you’re not in the noise. Everyone at the front desk is like a good friend from the moment you walk in.

literally nothing. perhaps if you are a light sleeper the room with balcony can hear some street noises on saturday night but it did not bother us.

The hotel reception staff was exceptionally helpful and kind, and really made our first experience in Hanoi (and Vietnam) amazing! They really look out for you with good tips and generally being willing to help with everything

Everything was perfect. It was three star, but for us five. Smole, but very nice, clean room with few. The staff were very polite, helpfull with smile. Came with us to the 86 bus stop to get airport.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our requests. The hotel is quite near to all areas of interest and restaurants are just a walk away. It's also in a convenient area for tour pick ups. The beds are large enough and very comfortable to sleep in. They lent us iron and board for our clothes and gave as bottled water and coffee upon request. Beds are cleaned and towels replaced everyday. The hotel really contributed a lot in making our Hanoi vacation a pleasant one.

Maybe just the extra charge for using credit card to pay. I know this is usual for some places. Best to prepare cash although the fee is quite minimal and we were informed we had that option.
