AMAZING pool for kids!’

Front desk personnel were also doing other jobs so had to wait each time checking in or out,,, need dedicated person in front at all times. Need better breakfasts. No meat except eggs this AM.

Hotel was mostly nice. Room was clean, beds were kinda soft, but okay. The pool and whirlpool were nice. The guy who opened the bar and served us was friendly (manager I think). Breakfast was good, when it was there.

I thought it was overpriced for what we got. We had to ask for towels & soap (only had 1 washcloth & 1 tiny bar for 3 people). I normally bring my own body wash, but forgot it. We stayed 2 nights, the 2nd morning, the food was out. We went back to our room, called the desk to see when there would be more. He said there is food, I said we were just there and everything was empty. He told me there was food now, if we had just waited. (He obviously didn't see all the people waiting with empty plates.) So, we went back down, there were biscuits, but no gravy, no eggs or sausage and the breakfast attendant was slow to refill it. We waited another 10-15 minutes before she finally brought out some gravy and eggs.

Great breakfast with hot options like eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, automatic pancake machine. They had french toast when the pancake machine was broken. Located close to downtown. Nice indoor pool area and hot tub. Hotel is owned by Wyndham so passes to the Chula Vista indoor and outdoor water park were included - must ask for them at the front desk. This alone makes this hotel attractive for the value. There was a game room / bar area next to the front desk and a very nice lounge area when walking in.

Floor around the breakfast area was sticky. Needs to be shampooed/cleaned. Breakfast items ran out and if you were not in the area by 8:15, most of the hot items and yogurt was gone. Didn't seem to get refilled, the staff just turned the burners off.

Location was excellent! Our main goal was to enjoy the Ishnala Supper Club and we found it was just a few minutes up the road from the hotel. Everything did was very accessible. We enjoyed using the large lobby as space to gather for reading and playing games. The front desk was very friendly.

The breakfast was rather ordinary and if you weren’t down at least an hour before closing, they started to run out. The pillows on the bed were very uncomfortable; it made me understand why some travelers bring their own pillows. I appreciate not having daily housekeeping, but more attention should be taken between guests.

My room was big and the in room hot tub was nice. My room had a nice view.

A kid had pooped in the pool when I went to use it, no one had noticed or reported it so it was there when I stopped in which was disgusting. I didn’t end up using the pool at all, so I was very disappointed by that. I almost got shocked by the hair dryer. The bed was way too firm. It was loud in the mornings. I could hear suitcases rolling on the floor above me, toilets flushing, and people knocking and talking in the hall at 8am.

Staff was really nice and provided all of the information we needed right at check in. Breakfast was pretty good. I loved that the room was already cool when we walked in. We didn't have any problems with our stay.

It would be really nice to have a comfortable chair in the room to give someone a place to sit besides the beds or the chairs by the little table. The room was missing the coffee pot and the door security latch. These weren't a huge deal though and the front desk made it easy to report the issues. We just didn't want to end up charged for them.

Property was clean and staff was friendly. Rooms were spacious enough for our family of 5 and 2 dogs and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included and had decent options and the pool was great, especially for the kids. We loved the hot tub, too. We were within a 10 minute drive from everything we wanted to do so location was great.

The only complaints we had, which aren’t a deal breaker, were the pillows were very small so next time we’d probably bring our own and the mini fridge didn’t seem to stay very cold. We looked but couldn’t find a dial on it to adjust the temperature which was a bit of a bummer because we normally travel with food to save money on breakfast and lunch for our larger family.

Average accommodation overall but ok for the region From what I can see the area is not served well for good priced quality/modern hotels Breakfast was average Room was on the smaller side But overall the stay was pleasant enough

Handy to get to

Everything was better than expected. The staff, rooms, and breakfast were all fantastic. It was really nice not having any concerns when arriving after a long day of driving. I will definitely stay here gain. There was no issues with cleanliness or any thing else. The staff was very accommodating, and the breakfast was a buffet that had something for everyone.

I wish I could have stay longer. There was nothing to complain about.

The staff was outstanding! The breakfast was a bit less then expected. However, there was a large group of people that were partying and totally disrespected the property as well as others staying there. They were obnoxious and loud. I feel the staff handled it as best as they were able. The staff couldn't keep up with filling the food warmers because of this large group. We'd love to stay there again if obnoxious people that we experienced wouldn't be there. Thank you AmericInn for doing the best you could under the circumstances!

We didn't appreciate the large group of obnoxious young people. They were totally disrespectful and weren't considerate of others...so shameful!!!!
