Location was perfect for event. 2 miles away. breakfast met my needs..just what I needed for the morning. They have two sweet dogs and a nice friendly beautiful cat. (more like a " dog cat") Very quiet, I never heard other guests coming or going and I was there 4 nights. The bed was so comfortable and the king size down pillows heaven. I haven't slept this good for weeks. lots of TLC put into this property over the years. nice walking trail located next to this property in the Abrotanum park. Connects to the Western Univ. as well. Home made jams made from fruits in their garden.

Walt greeted us at his gate to open it for us. The house is immaculate but comfortable. Several dogs live on property (Odetta loves attention). The two chocolate labs belong to Walt and Joseph. Our room was upstairs. The bed was very comfortable and the tiny kitchen/closet area had a tea kettle, coffee mugs, wine glasses, cutlery, plates, robes, and a plastic bin to put dirty dishes in (lots of places nearby to order takeout). Walt was gracious in allowing us to use his washer dryer so we could do laundry as we were midway through a long road trip. Breakfast was memorable. Coffee (good coffee!) orange juice, homemade jam, gluten free biscuits (sooo yummy) baked egg with arugula and goat cheese). Delicious. Walt chided my daughter for trying to clean up afterwards. It became a running bit of fun between them. Walt and his partner Joseph were lovely warm hosts.

I only regret the winter months kept us from seeing all the foliage on property.

This was our second time here and we have two more stays planned this fall. Joe and Walter are fabulous hosts... So welcoming! Their farm-to-table breakfast is to die for. Homemade biscuits and jam made from the strawberries grown in their garden.. And their dogs! My goodness, two really sweet chocolate labs, Odette and Porter, and Bob, an adorable Bernedoodle. Our dog, Bo, a mini Australian Labradoodle, was in heaven! They have a huge property where the dogs can run freely. The other guests also had a Bernedoodle and the three doodles had a blast playing together! If you have a dog, this is definitely the place to stay, and even if you don't, it's a wonderful place!

It was very comfortable and welcoming, both aesthetically and physically. The decor was sophisticated and rich with unique art. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed amazingly delicious food. It was extremely relaxing to be able to roam the grounds and let our dog run free. Our room was nicely designed and complete with everything we could possibly think of to make our stay pleasant.

The space was perfect for the three of us. We really enjoyed the delicious biscuit breakfast with homemade strawberry jam and great coffee! The bathroom was large and luxurious and the decor was interesting and comfortable. The garden setting is truly special and the fenced property was perfect for us as dog owners.

Everything was exceptional and Walter was a very gracious host. We had an excellent visit!

This is an amazing place! Walter and Joseph couldn't have been better hosts. The property is just beautiful. Lush gardens and so quiet! The suite was beautifully decorated and very well laid out. Walter and Joseph would bring us breakfast at our table every morning with delicious homemade biscuits and jam from the strawberries in their garden. Truly an "above and beyond" experience. They also have wonderful dogs that come and greet you morning and evening.

I booked this property same day at last minute at the end of a 3 day business travel trip. I was very pleasantly surprised by how relaxing and spa like the grounds were near my room. I arrived late and had to head home early so I was not able to stay long enough in the morning for breakfast, but I do plan to return to this Property again soon. I also loved that this property is dog friendly and the fact that I got to play a bit with the 2 Labs there made me feel right at home after missing my own lab at home the last few days.

I wasn't able to enjoy the property long enough during my stay. Next time I will plan to do that.

Peaceful & quiet location in a historical neighborhood which offered great walking paths especially in the nearby Arboretum which has 6 miles of trails (access at Jersey St & E Myrtle St). The inn is also situated near a few restaurants within walking distance - Blue Fin Sushi had a great selection for takeout. The hosts were very friendly & accommodating offering suggestions on dining - we tried the Oyster Bar on Chuckanut Drive for lunch one day and it was well worth it. The downstairs garden suite had a very comfortable bed, relaxing shower/bathroom amenities (toothpaste, brushes available if needed), living room space, mini fridge/microwave & table where breakfast was served to us each morning. Speaking of breakfast, we would go back for the biscuits & homemade plum jam - Wow!!

Gorgeous property, beautifully and expensively decorated (ie: no Ikea plastic potted plants: live orchids instead) with carefully chosen furniture and rich bedding, Pendleton blankets and art. Very clean. Excellent hosts who are on site, but don't hover. After often being treated like second class citizens because we travel with a dog, it is delightful to be welcomed with our dog, and provided treats and water and food bowls, and no sanctions about moving around the inn. Great breakfast with fresh, hot house-made biscuits and egg dishes, fresh orange juice, excellent coffee. The inn is very close to the university and right on the edge of the arboretum for a nice late-afternoon hike after check-in. Did we mention very quiet even though it's in the heart of the city? VERY comfortable bed too. Oh, and large closet with cozy robes. In short: I wish my every stay could be this lovely. And if it all sounds expensive, you're in for a surprise: it's not. If our travels bring us back to this region, we would not hesitate to stay again. In fact, we may JUST come back to stay here.

Not a thing or trouble to note. Pretty dang perfect in every way.

The Sehome Garden Inn was lovely. Beautiful Garden and very tasteful decor with wonderful Asian artwork. Very good breakfast with great homemade strawberry jam from their garden. Nice quiet location on dead end street near Western Washington University. Close to Bellingham and Fairhaven.

The bedroom was a little small.
