Microtel Inn Suites by Wyndham South Hill

Room was wonderful, clean and comfortable! Breakfast was excellent, the staff that prepared the breakfast and set up was excellent and did an excellent job!! The pool was very relaxing and enjoyable as well!!

The staff busted into room 10 minutes after we had checked in and walked into the room without knocking, my fiancé was telling them to wait a minute cause he was naked, they just walked on in and then did it again earlier the next morning at 9:30am….

We were on the road and getting tired. IEXIT app said there was a microtel ahead. We booked. When we arrived, parking was great for the large uhaul we were driving. Front desk staff was welcoming. Room was spotlessly clean. Smallish, yes; but VERY adequate! Bed was comfortable. Shower had great water pressure. In the morning, breakfast staff were MORE than pleasant and breakfast addressed the varied tastes of everyone in our party! What more could we ask?

An Olympic swimming pool and hot tub would have been nice -- but I can't fault MICROTEL for focusing on the most important things: cleanliness, good shower and good bed!

We were quite pleased to find an availability at this hotel on a Fourth of July weekend. The night clerk seemed new, but was nice enough. The accommodations were great and very clean. AC and shower worked well, the bed was comfortable and there was a cute windowseat. It was quiet, even though near a highway. My husband did remark that they were probably going to wish the joint between the bathtub and the floor was caulked. Don't know if that was a construction oversight just in our room or throughout the property. Someone before us had spilled something very red on the carpet, but it was stained, not dirty. The cleaning staff and morning clerk were very friendly.

Breakfast could have been more efficient. They were apparently still observing safety protocol instituted because of Covid-19, and there was one woman filling requests one item at a time. All my husband wanted was an apple, which could have been easily gathered while a waffle was cooking, but she didn't even look up. We were in a hurry to get on the road, so we just left. In spite of a couple of "bugs" to work out in what seems to be a new operation, we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

My daughter and I enjoyed our room. It was very big, comfortable and very clean. We also enjoyed the swimming pool. Breakfast was good with different options.

The vending machine with drinks was not stocked. It had water in it but when you put in 105 to get the water it kept saying it was sold out.

The experience, room and staff were excellent. Family was happy to see a refrigerator in our room. Room was clean and the staff accommodated our early arrival. superb!!

Think I needed more power outlets, and dresser units. It's been a while now. Not much to not like. We were very happy considering all of the services.

Everything was great. The room was clean and the atmosphere was great.

The way the desk clerk began explaining about a previous incident where 30 rooms was destroyed by occupants. She stated that locals aren't allowed to book rooms. My wife felt targeted because of our race.

The location was great, close to restaurants and stores; also within a good driving distance of neighboring town we were visiting. The check-in process was smooth and quick. All of the staff members I encountered were exceptional people, very kind and professional and made the stay here great! Thank you to them for taking great care of my family and I. (Young blonde- haired lady (sorry I didn't get your name but you checked us in), Demarcus made us a good breakfast, Maria checked us out).

Had a great experience at the South Hill, VA location for the Microtel Hotel. Rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Jonathan is a real winner. He was able to accommodate my whole family and we booked 20 rooms over this passed weekend.

Not enough vegan options for the breakfast however, everything else was great! Love this place! Thanks for the great service. Jonathan was the BEST!

Room was clean, stocked, as described and staff VERY HELPFL. Before and after arrival!

No ice or snack machine, could have been covid restrictions?? Free breakfast ordered for morning call (@9:30)to say was ready to be picked up, never recieved call/we called @ 10:30 and was told it had been sitting there for an hour- so our breakfast was COLD eggs and waffle (Christmas Eve so nothing open) Using covid and holiday to call an exception to above “hiccups” But not the fact first 2 days elevator REEKED OF STRONG CIGAR SMOKE every time we went in it first 35 hrs (but to be fair we never mentioned it to staff)

The breakfast was great and offered a nice amount of options to choose from.

Over all the stay was not bad But a little more attention could be paid to the bathroom toilet the enter ring was not scrub and cleaned to my standards
