Holiday Inn Charlottesville-Monticello, an IHG Hotel

Check in was quick and easy. Staff was polite. Power curtains in room did not function and the restaurant was having problems such as no bread, no waffles, one couple left as there was no warm coffee. To be fair it was graduation time in Charlottesville and hard to find help. The chef was handling cooking and waiting on tables. Also, the roll in shower head was not functioning properly and curtain allowed too much water on the tile floor. Also, brighter lights and light locations are needed for reading.

First time booking with this location, and wow did they exceed my expectations. Clean location, clean rooms but what really exceeded my expectations was how they cool they were with me being able to pray in the conference room. For sure really loved that and too top it off, a nice gentleman took the time to call me after I had returned the room. Letting me know on how I had forgotten my prayer mat. For sure will be booking with this location again . Thank you

Everything was very clean looking. There was not one thing about my room I was unsatisfied with. The bed was comfortable, and the showers were EXTRAORDINARY. The location being right off the interstate made it so convenient to find and leave when I checked out.

Only thing I was unhappy with was my floor had a vending machine that only accepted cash which I unfortunately didn’t have but that is not something I would factor in with the rating.

This is a nicely redesigned hotel, the room was very comfortable and stylish. I really liked the bright bathroom with a huge counter space. The sofa and ottoman and rolling work table were a really smart touch. Breakfast was decent - it was nice to have something made to order instead of buffet.

Location near the highway meant there was some traffic noise on the south side of the building, even on the 4th floor.

The beds were extremely comfortable and the noise levels were at a minimum, especially if running the AC fan continuously for white noise. Great location if visiting Monticello.

The second floor odd numbered rooms faced out onto the roof for the first floor and all of the AC equipment and other things. The hallways were a little dreary and needed updating as did the air conditioning units. Also, there is breakfast available, but you must decide the night before and pay extra for your choices.

All together was a good stay , room smelled a little like weed , when I first got there but nothing a little air freshener couldn't fix , staff was friendly , when I booked I was told breakfast was included but then was told I would have to pay extra so I just left it off , pretty clean room and bed was comfortable

The location was perfect -- right off I-64 and right next to Starbucks. The room was comfortable and quiet. We were on the top (6th) floor. The bedding was comfortable, and I liked that the pillows were labeled "firm" and "soft" and that there were 4 for each bed. It had a Keurig in the room which is a touch above the disposable slide in coffee pad.

The only thing is that the shower seems old and the caulking needs to be redone. One of the towel hooks flew off the wall when I took the towel off, but I was able to put it back. It might just need some screws tightened up. Also, there was no breakfast included with the room as I've experienced with other Holiday inns. You could order something for breakfast the night before or just show up and pay extra for it. It was cheaper to get a coffee and pastry at the near-by Starbucks.

The room was comfy (the mattress and pillows were heaven), the facilities clean and welcoming. Recognition must be given to the front desk staff, who were incredibly friendly and professional. Well done! I look forward to a future stay at this wonderful property. As a bonus, there is a Starbucks within easy walking distance.

Wish I could have stayed longer.

Room was clean, one of the most comfortable beds ever in a hotel, quite, convenient to UVA. Employees were helpful and friendly. Would stay again.

TV channels were confusing. On screen channel guide had channels that were not available. Very confusing. A paper channel guide in the room would be helpful.

The property overall was in a good state- very clean and well kept.

The location is in a less desirable area. They only stock 3 towels and 2 washcloth/hand towels to a room. Housekeeping said they just don’t have enough.
